Never forget in the legends of people being cursed or having a lycanthropy or werewolfism they're always told to go talk to a gypsy because they can tell you about these things like this. Which seems strange if you think about it, if these people are supposed to not have jobs and not be capable of taking care of themselves and have to steal things from everyone to get by why would going to them be helpful in mystical/otherworldly affairs? Because being a gypsy is almost the same thing as being a witch like during the Salem witch trials they are on the the fringes or the edges of our society and so when you're dealing with something on The Fringe or edge of our society you need to go to people that are experts on the fringes and edge of our society. In short, if you're dealing with a sickness you go to a doctor if you're dealing with problems with your skeleton or muscles you go to a chiropractor when you're dealing with ghosts in this day and age you go to paranormal investigators but back then if you were dealing with something like this that's who you would go to but it's that old argument of well if you associate with these things, then you're a part of these things and when our society was so strictly religious any type of dealing whatsoever with anything extremely secular or even possibly satanic In normal people thought process it's evil, you're associating with it so you're evil. But to be honest gypsies were nothing more than the European equivalent to priestesses in ancient Japan individuals that lived usually by themselves had to live a very miniscule solitary life to keep their bodies and minds and spirits pure enough to deal with these evil things and if you had a ghost or a monster or a curse or whatever you would go to them, the only difference is in Europe these particular individuals were looked in a negative light because basically of rumors and speculation, you know they would say oh these are the people that put curses on you and things like that, so they're bad while in Japan these same type of individuals are looked at in far higher regard and more of a positive lite and it's definitely possible that there was at least some people in Europe that were gypsies that did do horrible things murder, kill, rape, put curses on people or whatever, but as the old saying goes a few bad apples spoil the bunch, so two or three people throughout Europe behaving and doing things like this horrible stuff, then it seems logical that every single person in all of Europe that calls themself a gypsy or is a gypsy instantly were profiled as evil too 🤔

The reason calling these type of people " Gypsies " could be viewed as a slur is because people who lived in the woods like them and traveled a lot were considered being inbred and not intelligent and lazy and thieves and all this other derogatory negative stuff when in actuality gypsies usually weren't like that they're a lot closer to hippies in America basically you know they just live off the grid and don't agree with establishmentarianism and thinking that you have to have a nine to five job and you have to do this and you have to do that or your not a normal productive member of society but in all honesty RU-vidrs are very similar to gypsies, you know they go against the normal mentality of having to have a labor job the okay Boomer standard of being a well-rounded individual 🤔

@@ZION73082 like I said in a comment youtube apparently erased (or maybe it wasn't send by instale, who knows?) some of the modern-day discrimination against Romani came from xenophobic people who don't like that the Romani live in their territories but don't assimilate to their culture, and distrust for nomadic businessmen, seeing them as scam-artist or mobsters... like I said, very xenophobic
