My girlfriend watches Halloween Kills (2021) for the FIRST time

the mental patient in this film passed away last May. his sister said he really enjoyed his role, and hoped people would remember him.

Originally, Paul Rudd was going to return as Tommy but due to scheduling conflicts with "Ghostbusters Afterlife" he was unable to make it. And seeing how they killed Tommy, it's a good thing that Paul didn't return.

I've seen reactions to the new Halloween films from the 2018 one and Halloween kills and no one talks about the music! the score it had when Michael picked up his mask was so bad ass.

The Spider-Man on top of the car edit made me literally lol. Genius.

The only fun I had with this movie was yelling at how stupid most of them were. Not the ones that were taken by surprise but the mob, the cops, the firefighters (especially the first one spraying the water at his chest instead of his face). When a mass murderer is face down and you can stab them, you don't stop. Every gun should have been unloading in him as soon as he stopped to pick up the mask. This guy just murdered half the town; overkill will be forgiven.

I would love for Holden to do an interview with Jen on her Halloween experiences growing up. What her favourite scary movie is. What types of Horror movies does she like. (Thriller, suspenseful, ghosts, killers, aliens, monsters) Does she prefer Michael, Jason, or Freddy? That kind of stuff. We know that Jen likes the darker side of movies/stories, and I would love to have Holden explore that in a little stand alone interview video. It wouldn't have to be professionally edited to make it look like a tv show. Just set the camera down and chat about it. You could discuss the questions before hand so she knows what she's getting into.

I love that they went back and showed us how Michael was capture in this continuity, since he was still running(well, walking) loose at the end of the '78 movie. And apparently that was neither old footage or CGI Loomis, just a really good make-up job.

Halloween kills is the continuation of Halloween 2018. And it's about the people in haddonfields trauma and how they formed a mob to beat him but they don't realize that Michael is is making them what they have feared for the past 40 years. Michael is an force of evil, an entity, He's the Boogeyman. It sets up for ends where it shows how laurie wants to fight but can't so Halloween 2018 sets up the story, kills continues it, and ends wraps all stories up.

I pretty much agreed with every note you guys had. Great killing sequences. this one might be the most gruesome yet. I really wasn't a fan of how long and drawn out the mob scene was. My first thought too was "Is this a PSA or warning or something...?" That time couldve been devoted elsewhere IMO and was my real only gripe with the movie (besides Tommy's very irrational decision making lol)

I loved this movie. Good kills, funny, action packed…all I really want from Mr Myers!

Loomis was actually someone just wearing prosthetics. He looked a lot alike Donald Pleasence in the first place and they just added a little bit and he looked just like him.

These movies are supposed to be grounded (!?!) in some sort of reality. There was nothing paranormal about them (except maybe some obscure sequel of the nineties). But if you're making Michael some kind of an immortal entity... It would be hard to explain and even harder to take seriously (ok, "seriously" is a big word here...). Also, i never understood the idea of not making Michael the brother of Laurie. Why? It would only make sense. To simply make him and Laurie pure strangers is beyond me. Connecting dots is what screenplay writing is all about. It's even fun. Why "unconnect" them? What are you gaining? Lastly, i like what they did in the last Friday the 13th where you got to have a small glimpse as to how Jason lived and nourrished himself. I would love to have such a quick glimpse as to how Michael go about a normal day (doesn't have to take long - you don't even have to really see it but guess it by looking at where he lives or crashes).

Mark 16:00. Dumb advertising! Uh, I couldn't tell, because I wasn't looking for them. But yeah, maybe the director wanted a, "throwback" feel to the older movies that you mentioned. However, even the mental mob on, January 6, was recording their own crimes for posterity. 🤔

No CG on Loomis. That was all practical make up effects. It is quite impressive.

The original ending was extended, Karen's phone was supposed to ring and Michael answers it and it's Laurie, she hears the breating and realizes what's happened, she vows to Michael to "put him in the ground and send him back to hell" before she hangs up and walks out of the room with the knife, freeze frame, cut to credits. You can see part of it in the trailer.

It's crazy that they called back to the first Halloween. With Karen getting stabbed exactly like Judith Myers in the exact spot where Judith died as well. That's a crazy parallel.

I think a lot of my problems with this movie come from us already knowing that it's the 2nd part of a trilogy, so it kinda felt a little bit like filler and they had to sideline Laurie until the inevitable finale. However I did enjoy it for what it was, and interested to see if they give us answers in the next one in relation to whether or not Michael actually cares about Laurie or if she just happens to be in his way and manifests her own obsession with him, rather than the other way around

5:06 when Michael charged at the cop, I actually laughed (I watched this on Peacock as well, back on October 16th), and then i said "I've never seen Michael move so fast before", since he always walks, so it was funny seeing him move quickly.

I loved all the scenes with Michael. The way they shot his character....his brutality. I could actually be afraid of this MIchael...I respected him. Michael Anthony Halls protrayal or they wrote his character was way to over the top. One of my fav in the franchise.

It's sad when about the only smart person in this movie was Lindsey Wallace. At least she hid from Michael when she knew the situation went south. Loved the Silver Shamrock masks from Season of the Witch. This movie was ok. Not great, but ok. I did like the return of certain characters but overall it just felt rushed and sorta like filler to get to Halloween Ends as if that's the film the writers are really going to spend the time and energy on to finish this story. I still prefer some of the previous films in the series like Halloween 4 and Halloween II 1981 as proper sequels though. The pacing was better in those films IMO.

While the story for Halloween Kills wasn't nearly as in depth as 2018, it showed how truly evil and powerful Michael Myers could be. He was utterly terrifying in this movie. I think it was realistic that Laurie didn't play much of a part in this movie because of how bad of shape she was in. 2018 was Laurie's story where Kills was Michael's story. Cameron actually had quite a character arc between 2018 and this movie. I hated him in 2018 and actually rooted for him in this one. I have a feeling the Sherrif will have quite a character arc as well, being absolutely useless in 2018 and Kills, but in Halloween Ends I think he will mean serious business and want to take Michael Myers down for good.

Great reaction. Would have preferred the original ending but oh well. And Michael has always been an ambiguous motiveless killer. Evil in the shape of a human. So as a viewer your suppose to ask that question, is he supernatural???? He works best that way for me. I don't wanna know. As for H kills I loved this film as a Halloween purist. The Atmosphere, score, sound design, lighting, Michael ect. All great. Really felt like an extension to 78. And the Continuity, I'm a stickler for continuity. That's why only 6 films in the franchise make my ranking. Halloween 78 Halloween 81 Halloween III Halloween 18 Halloween kills Halloween ends(hopefully)

Idk if Holden caught this, but in the Halloween 2018, we know by the end of the movie that Michael isn’t interested in Lori. That was just the path that New Loomis was putting him on. That’s why he tried to kill Hawkins and drove Michael to Loris house. At 9:45, when Karen says that Michael is headed to the hospital, she’s actually wrong. However, even though the granddaughter knows that Michael isn’t after Lori, she doesn’t bring it up until the end of the movie. Kind of a plot hole.

This movie was trying to be serious/scary but ended up being hilarious. Me and my friend were cracking up in the cinema. These days horror movies are actually comedies

I thought this movie was alright and to me it didn’t feel like a Halloween movie like at least the 2018 one felt like the original but this felt like a random slasher movie with really really really dumb characters and the ending was just rushed and didn’t feel satisfying or complete and obviously there’s another going to continue it but it just ended so fast 6.5/10

I’ve been waiting for this one! The reviews for this one weren’t that great but I really enjoyed it. The story wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever seen but I thought it was a great slasher movie!

To me, this is my favorite of the franchise. I loove how they handled Myers. I love that they finally brought back Michaels childlike curiosity. That one scene where he keeps stabbing the man on the table was brilliant. Definitely some issues but literally every movie in this franchise has them. It looks like they’re gonna make Myers more boogeyman esk. I think in Ends, they’re gonna have him teleport or something. I think they showed it in the flashback when Hawkins was shooting at him. Then at the end when he appeared behind Karen. We’ll see. They’re definitely making him invincible too which I’m looking forward to seeing. The other movies did that too much I think Green is gonna incorporate it in a cooler, more epic way. Looking forward to Ends

Your reactions to all the gruesome parts is hilarious, the faces you guys make cracks me up😂

The stupidity of the characters in this movie drove me insane. I understand its a horror movie and suspension of disbelief is a thing but the writing of this movie just made people stupid for the sake of easy kills. On top of the awful editing, most notably during the car scene where Vanessa gets out the car with the gun and just disappears whilst Michael kills the other 2 people in the car. Then to make it easy she suddenly appears with stormtrooper aim and kills herself through one of the most stupidest deaths in horror history. Don't give characters guns if you need them to be in melee range, its makes you look dumb. Don't get me started on the fact the mob stopped beating the crap out of michael, no bullets to the head. Karen stuck a pitchfork in the back and dropped the damn thing, Karen please! Keep stabbing, do not stop and aim of the head! lol

This Halloween 🎬 was intense and gruesome. I have watched it ✌️ times, still planning on doing so, again, my favorite scene that gave me the chills was standing in the window closing the 👁️ ow he's there to kill his victims. That moment was more realistic to watch it.

I don’t understand how anyone who has seen Mr. Zombie’s Halloween 2, Resurrection, 6, or 5, can call this movie terrible. Sure it has it’s problems but it definitely did not belong at the bottom of the barrel.

The mob in this movie was the dumbest thing about it.

I had a thought - as bad as Halloween 6 was, they really should have brought Paul Rudd back as Tommy Doyle. Rudd feels more believable as someone charismatic enough to get people to risk their lives with him, and it would be a bit less predictable for him to die at the end, as opposed to this guy.

Problem with this movie Announcing 1 year before Halloween Kills AND Halloween Ends at the same time Every trailer showing the entire plot (there was at least like 4 main trailers and 17 tv spots) Universal posting official clips of spoiler plot such as "He killed Marion and he attacked Lindsey" Making original characters such as Tommy, Lonnie, Lindsey, Marion and Brackett a bit useless i was expecting town shooting Michael or patrolling the streets cause the only car that was really do something was in the park i wasn't expecting a huge plot cause David Gordon and Jamie Lee told us that it was focused in Michael Killing having more than 40 kills

Originally, Ends was supposed to be filmed with Kills but it was too ambitious. Ends starts filming January 2022

See, I didnt care for this one. I'm more old school I guess. I like more of the suspense type horror and less of the gore. I also don't like it how they make Michael almost seem like he is almost not mortal and even kind of "matrixy". I mean, when did michael become a ninja and able to take on an entire fire dept.!? In my opinion, nothing has ever come close to the original. Keep Michael realistic. Don't turn him into someone who is too hard to believe could actually exist.

Mark 1:00. What you just said informs us that you didn't wait until the end of the credits, to see that he was in darkness so dark, that black was all there was to see, but we could still here him breathing!

I really like how Michael is basically John Wick in this movie. First with the firefighters then with the mob at the end. I'm not saying that Michael is, in fact, John Wick. I'm saying we've never seen Michael Myers and John Wick in the same room at the same time. 😂
