My girlfriend watches Hawkeye for the FIRST time || Episode 1-3 

I get why this show may not be everyone's favorite, especially coming in the middle of the No Way Home hype, but I believe it's one of the most grounded and heartfelt Marvels shows to date. No magic, no super powers, and I love Clint and Kate's dynamic, I hope you guys like it :)

Episode 3 of Hawkeye is one of the best Disney Plus episodes of the MCU shows imo. Three scenes that had heart, and that felt human: Echo's backstory, Clint attempting to talk to Nate, and his scene in the diner with the line "I'm not a role model". All the D+ shows have had moments like these that made me feel very emotional and become more attached to these characters. They're doing a magnificent job so far.

27:18 "I guess he left it at the Avengers compound, and that got compromised at some point?" Yeah, it got compromised when Thanos's ship blew the entire place into a crater.

The joy on holden face when jen says she is excited for spiderman brings tears to my eyes.

When Clint lost his hearing aid, that took me back. I've suffered from hearing loss all my life. The really heartbreaking thing that they nailed in that last episode is the feeling of isolation, that you're cut off from your peers and you're afraid of missing something. They also nailed that vulnerable feeling you get when you know you're missing sentences that could save you a lot of trouble.

I like the conversation Clint has with Grills. I think its a call back to a previous scene when Clint ask "What am I selling?" And Kate responds back "Inspiration." You see these moments when Clint is inspiring others and just a small interaction with them, like in Grills case, has the best day ever.

Like the Hawkeye comic run it's based off of, it was not a big eye drawing thing at first, but once people saw it, people ended up really liking it. It captures that same energy and some of the details, while also fitting in the MCU... And soon our first Netflix character to migrate over, and that also confirms another very soon...

I’m liking this show A LOT more than I was expecting to, definitely improves Hawkeye as a character far more than the movies did. And Kate is already a good addition to the MCU, can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.

I really like how they invested some time into Maya being deaf and Clint being hard of hearing. It's something that hasn't been showcased in any MCU title before. Idk why but it makes me feel very good seeing things like that shown.

I love the grounded and human feel of this show, and can’t wait to see “The Uncle” show up. Fingers crossed for you know who…. This could definitely be my favorite MCU Disney Plus show yet

I really like the part when Clint said that Black Widow killed Ronin because she was the one that "gave him hope" and pulled him back from the dark. Also how she was the one who gave her life to make sure he got his family back.

Fun fact They couldn't find a good looking one eyed dog for Hawkeye, so they took a healthy dog and plucked one of its eyes out. I admire dedication and the attention to detail from the show runners.

This is the MCU show that gives me the most Agents of SHIELD "boots on the ground" vibes and I'm loving every minute of it (also, please watch Agents of SHIELD)

I'm still blown away by the fact that Alaqua Cox, the actress who plays Echo, is deaf and an amputee in real life, and I think that's really cool.

I love Hawkeye. But then again, I think I always loved the "street-level" heros like Director Fury and Black Widow, too.

I love how Holden always makes dirty jokes, but with a last name like that he can't help it. And how did we not recognize the chuckle from the "uncle" at karate class!? I'd like to see Holdens reaction once he realizes!

Poles have an extra dose of laughter. The character who interviewed Hawkeye is a Polish actor who smuggles Polish words very well. Not just words. In the 90s in Poland we had a kind of tracksuit culture. A bald guy wearing a tracksuit. This tvshow character is a great caricature of these specific people from those years. We call such people Sebix. It's from the name Sebastian. The Golf 3 is still missing.

Haliee Steinfeld also play one of the main characters in Arcane and the intro song is by Imagine Dragons so that makes the comment about them even better. Also Uncle is clearly Kingpin right? Just incase you missed it. That scoff sounded just like D'Onifrio

Episode 3 is by far the best ep so far. I’m enjoying this show a lot more than I thought I would. This is the first credit for the actress who plays Echo and she’s already got her own show on the way. She is also a real amputee and deaf.

The rumor is that Wilson Fisk is gonna return from daredevil to this and everyone is saying her “uncle” and the one at the dojo was kingpin I sure hope so and I think it’ll make the show so interesting for everyone especially daredevil fans

Yea all the more jokey aspects are from the comic series ‘Hawkeye’. For example the tracksuit mafia are the main villains and throughout the issue they constantly say bro, the dog is also in the comic and is called pizza dog which they made a reference to, and the drawing of the weird suit for Hawkeye is also how he looks in most of the comics he’s in. It’s cool just seeing little Easter eggs for the diehard fans that aren’t important to the plot so new fans can still enjoy it without getting lost

I love how they are exploring the Ronin in a way that isn't insert a 5 minute scene following Ronin. Much prefer seeing the Ronin from a different perspective. Makes him much more badass

This show is so far my favorite, mostly due to how grounded and relatable/likeable the characters can be. Kate is a really fun character, I'm excited for her and enjoy the flaws she has, and Clint!!! Wow, I've always liked him, but this has put him in a spotlight he always deserved!

I’m in the minority of this being the show I was most excited for, and it has exceeded my expectations this is by far the second best live action show on Disney + behind the Mandalorian

I believe this is the Most direct adaptation of a Comic book the MCU has done. Definitely more accurate than other direct comic stories Like civil war or extremis in Iron man 3 The Car chase, tracksuit mob, Pizza dog and numerous other elements are lifted from the Matt Fraction Hawkeye run

This show to me feels extremely grounded in realism, compared to magical WandaVision, Super Hero Thriller Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Magic-Science based LOKI. I love that every show each has its own unique tone, and Marvel is doing a steller job. Episode 3 of Hawkeye is one of my favorites now.

Really loving this one, I think its probably my favorite MCU show so far. Just Hawkeye and Kate Bishop together just works. I'm anxious to see how the Echo stuff progresses because if I'm remembering right from the comics she is a hero. Maybe now she's just racked with grief and revenge and something will bring her around. Also I won't spoil anything in case you don't know but Echo's "Uncle" is a rather important character if they do it like the comics which I'm assuming they will. Could bring in some more tie ins from "other shows".

Kate Bishop has always been a favorite of mine in the comics so I was really excited for this. I've been loving it so far.

The MCU is doing a great job of gradually introducing us to the characters that'll make up the Young Avengers. Patriot (Isaiah Bradley's grandson), Hawkeye (Kate), Wiccan and Speed (Billy and Tommy Maximoff), Ms. Marvel (Khamala Khan), Iron Heart (Riri Williams) and Stature (Scott Lang's daughter, Cassie) have all been mamebers of the Young Avengers at one point or another in the comics.

Holden, my comic book dude, you clearly have not read the Hawkeye series this is based on. Get on that! It is not only the best Hawkeye series ever, it is one of the best comic book runs ever.

Archery lesson purchases will probably boost the same way they did when the Hunger Games series was in full swing haha.

This is already my favorite Disney + Marvel show! Unless it bombs the second half, then WandaVision is back on top.

The arrow that Clint used that Ant-man rode on was one that split into multiple pieces and detonated. It was used as a distraction so that Scott could get inside Tony's suit.

3rd episode definitely got me invested in the rest of the series.

Clint is so cool and Kate is really funny and interesting. They make a great veteran-rookie/mentor-mentee duo

Pizza dog who was in the comic it’s so iconic. Understand the dog was never officially named, but because he was given Pizza to eat fans of that series named him, Pizza dog.

So far, this has been one of the better shows they’ve put out. I haven’t been very impressed so far with the MCU shows, but I’m really liking Hawkeye. Clint is suffering from loss and PTSD. He’s a surviving member of the Avengers in a post-apocalyptic and post-Avengers era. He’s suffered a lot but I think Kate will “bring him back” to the world.

Fun Fact: The building at 12:38 in the background, to the right of Clint, is the same building where Spider Man fought Rhino at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. They take place on that street, in front of that building.

This is such a fun show, gonna be a Christmas classic for many people and I think it ends up as a top 2 McIntyre show so far

I see this a trend they do, combing multiple episodes into 1, but I think they should just upload the season episodically. It’s wack when they miss stuff in the episodes amongst other reasons but uploading episodically would increase overall views you’d think

Holden might remember this : Jack (or 'Jacques") is a significant character from the comics, that's why he's so good at fencing and his interest in swords.

Ngl I wasn't paying attention when watching the start of episode 3 but the uncles laugh immediately made me pay attention definitely recognised it

So i was so sad that Holden didnt have any reaction to when "Kingpin" popped up and chuckled pinching young Echos cheek. Also Jack is a character from the comics named Jacques the French way, who was named The Swordsman who trained Hawkeye but there is no knowing if he will have the same role in this series. Lastly for Jen, Pizza Dog also named Lucky by Hawkeye is def a mainstay in the series and dont worry hes not eyeless in real life it was CGI'd on him in post production. But he is a good doggo ❤

Holden and Jen - When you are done watching/reacting to this series you might go look up some of these new characters to get their comic book backstory. 1. Echo (especially since Marvel is doing a series specifically for her) 2. Jack Duquesne (The Swordsman) 3. Eleanor Bishop (Kate's Mom) 4. Track Suit Draculas (Mafia) and YES, they always call everyone Bro Lastly, WHO is Maya/Echo's uncle? The voice sounded correct, AND he was wearing a Black Suit even if you couldn't see his size and face.

Just a quick FYI: • Avengers Compund got destroyed in Endgame when Thanos from 2014 blew the place up • Track Suit Mafia is straight from the comic this series is inspired by (and yes, they say “Bro” after everything in the comics too 😂😂)

Episode 3 of Hawkeye was a near flawless episode. I'd even go as far as saying it's the MCU show so far. Obviously it has 3 episodes left that could potentially ruin that.

Honestly I've been needing a show like this for a while. No superpowers, just skilled people with street level problems.

I like this show, I get a low key DIE HARD feeling from watching this, I dont know why but I do. Kate Bishop is a good comic character, her and Clint have a Tony/Peter kinda relationship that works.

This show was a LOT better than I expected. The girl, Kate, is Hailee Steinfeld, she was impressive in the Coen Bros movie "True Grit", she was 14 when she made that movie. She was also in the Transformer movie, "Bumble Bee". The woman who plays Maya, the evil antagonist, is actually an amputee, no CGI.

Jack's character is Swordsman in the comics, he's a Hawkeye villain, he's like a bounty hunter

Hey guys! Love the vids! This show is based on a comic run from 2015 by Matt Fraction. It is a super highly regarded comic. Some of the lines in Episode 3 were straight out of the comic. This is the first time I really remember a MCU project focusing on one comic storyline. Just thought I would share that tidbit.

I don't know why, but this is my favorite MCU show so far. Don't get me wrong I love all of them, but I really like this one despite having less bombastic action. The groundedness of it reminds me of Daredevil. Also, that animated opening sequence at EP 1 was bomb

I believe the ‘uncle’ of Maya is going to be revealed to be Kingpin. In the comics, Kingpin was the one who killed killed Echo’s dad and then raised her as one of his own. Obviously the origin is different in episode 3, but they could have Kingpin be the ‘uncle’, and is the ‘boss’ of the Tracksuit Mafia, the higher up above Maya.

My hype level is really low for this show. Marvel really didn't promote it like it did with the other three. It's also a Christmas show, which is kind of lame. But after watching it (just finished episode 4) I'm actually pretty hooked on it. It's a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Hawkeye has always been a pretty cool character, and Jeremy Renner is a great actor. Him and Hailee Steinfeld are nailing it together. Although, some of the CGI is pretty bad. And the green screening can take you out of it some times.

The character Echo is the adopted (raised as) daughter/niece of Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. It’s been rumored Vincent D’Onofrio is interested in reprising his Daredevil role and Alaqua Cox (the real handicapable actress who plays her) is getting her own Echo Disney+ show as announced by Kevin Feige about a month ago.

Kate heard mention of Gary when she went through the kitchen.

This show is awesome and I love how so far all MCU shows have their own feel and genre. Also cheesy tracksuit guys are part of the comic, and it’s pretty accurate so far!

I’m loving this show so far, up there with falcon and the winter solider for me. Still need to watch LOTR in order for me to watch you’re reactions, but I’ll be starting tonight!

Eleanor Bishop is suspicious 4. Kate Bishop has a famous villain in the comics (Madame Masque, which I think is her mom). 5. That was Wilson Fisk in the Black suit 6. Kate Bishop, Billy & Tommy Maximoff, Patriot, Ms Marvel, America Chavezz (appearing in Doctor Strange), Kid Loki, Iron Lad (Kamg variant), and Spider-Man (Kate is older than Peter, & he’s been mentored by leaders (Tony, Fury & now Strange), it makes sense for him to be a leader) will look like it’s the Young Avengers line-up.

So in the comics, Jack is Jacque, aka Swordsmaster. In the comics he’s the one who adopted Clint into the circus and trained him to be a super thief but Clint went the other way. They’re obviously going a different way with him in this. Only thing remaining seems to be the Swordsmaster thing

Funny you guys said nothing about Wilson Fisk's cameo in the episode 3 prologue... My favorite thing about Jeremy Renner's performance as Hawkeye is that there is this weariness and sadness to him. With Nat dead, Tony dead, Vision "dead", Steve retired?, Wanda off on her own, Thor off world, Sam doing his thing, Scott back home presumably, and wherever Bruce is. Clients peers are all gone and his best friend is dead. His family is back but in many ways he lost everything else and it has worn him down. He is still a really nice guy, still a hero, but life and guilt have taken a toll on him. Love the hearing loss angle as well.

Hawkeye EP 3 is my favourite Disney+ MCU episode so far. Can’t think of any episodes from the previous shows that can beat this.

22:18. They used the same exact shot as the one in Spider-Man 2 when Spider-Man was trying to web the buildings to stop the train. All the trees being pulled by the rope even looks the buildings falling apart

remember in endgame the avengers compound got absolutely trashed in that final battle with thanos. seems like some of the leftovers got picked up and put on the black market. the people who got it probably assume that the avengers took care of Ronan and that's why they had his stuff kept at the compound. they probably can't draw a direct link yet to Hawkeye and Ronan.

In the comics Jack Duquesne is the villain Swordsman. The Tracksuit Mafia is from Matt Fraction's run on the Hawkeye comic book, as is Lucky the pizza dog. Maya Lopez is Echo in the comics and was originally more of a Daredevil adjacent character. They're introducing a lot for such a short series, but I'm enjoying it.

I might be forgetting an obvious example, it I think this is by far the closest direct adaptation of a comic run in the MCU. Many scenes, at least in the episodes we’ve got so far, are almost directly lifted from the pages of My Life as a Weapon.

That uncle is uncle kingpin , same actor from daredevil- Vincent. He is at the top of all gangs. That little smirk and that black suit. That's kingpin man. He will appear in episode 5. Yelena belova is also coming.

Alaqua Cox (Echo) is deaf and has a prosthetic leg and this is her first acting job. The little girl who plays young Echo is Cox’s cousin.

Jack in the comicbooks becomes a character known as "Swordmaster" he is a criminal mostly but at some points he switches sides and even becomes an avenger (training alot of the younger generation himself)

Holden, the Avenger's compound got compromised when THANOS BLEW IT UP!! lol. I'm sure some scavengers went in there in the aftermath of the battle and picked some stuff out of it. Maybe even the clean up crew.

When Tony sold Avenger's Tower and moved to the country with Pepper and Morgan, that probably shut down Damage Control so that they were not available to clean up following Thanos's attack on the compound so it was available to be looted. As to the watch, I was wondering about that myself until I rewatched Civil War and saw Tony Stark's wristwatch again.

Kate Bishop is one of my favorite comics characters. It's a bit flipped in the comics though, where Clint is the f'up and Bishop is the outwardly-calm, somewhat-nervous hero.

In case no one mentioned, the Katniss Everdeen is a metajoke because the actress who now plays the bowgirl was trying to get the role in Hunger Games as well.
