The Finn autotune was explained in a throwaway joke in Season 1 episode 6 “The Jiggler”. Finn says he swallowed a tiny computer and that’s why he sings in autotune.

The 'Stakes' miniseries is worth reviewing as its own thing. Same with 'Islands'. Both are pretty huge for the show, and some of its best material. And, of course, the finale.

It's amazing that he's crafted all of these theories about Finn being a cyborg, when they explain exactly why he has that autotune voice the second after they use it. "Remember when I swallowed that tiny computer?" Either he missed that line, or he's not buying it.

Fun fact: Simon and Marcy was Rebecca Sugar's last episode as a storyboard artist on Adventure Time. Really feels like she sent her last episode on a really strong note. I'm glad she came back to write more music for the show, Time Adventure and Everything Stays (which, funnily enough has strong connections to Spinel in the SU movie) are songs in the 2nd half that just really reflect how melancholy the show becomes at times. Adventure Time is and will always be such a unique show that changed everything for TV animation.

A lot of people compare the situation with Marceline, Simon, and his memory loss to someone dealing with a parent or grandparent with Alzheimer's/dementia. As someone who is currently living with a grandparent with dementia I can see the similarities. Going back and watching the Marcy/Simon episodes after experiencing something similar makes me see them from a whole new perspective.

Also, when you watch the finale, you're gonna cry. Like I was sobbing during it and I usually don't cry during shows. It's so sad man

I cant really remember why, because its been sooooooo long since I've seen all of Adventure Time all the way through, but for some reason, Season 7, Episode 24 "The Hall of Egress" always stood out to me. Like i said, cant really remember why, but it popped into my head.

17:15 i’m laughing that was 11 year old me watching that episode for the first time and realising that maybe, just maybe there was a romantic past between marcy and pb. had no idea i myself was gay but that definitely fuelled my personal confusion.

I'm a big nerd so here's everything you should record for 6-10 6: The first two episodes, "The Tower", "Something Big" "Is That You", "Evergreen", "Dark Purple", "Jermaine", "Graybles 1000+" and the final 6 episodes 7: The first episode, all of Stakes (6-13), "The More You Moe, the Moe You Know, one and two", "Crossover", and "The Hall of Egress", which got nominated for an Emmy. 8: The first two episodes, Everything between "I Am A Sword" and "Elemental", "Music Hole", Everything between "Preboot" and "Do No Harm", "Jellybeans Have Power", Islands (21-27) And then literally all of season 9 and 10 except for Ring of Fire I know that sounds like a lot, but all of them have really good things that it'd be a shame to not see your reaction to.

One of the best things is that it's not only focused on finn and jake, there's a whole world and stuff happens around them. they're not always the heros.

the craziest thing for me with the show was that i was really young when the show aired and as it went on I matured alongside the characters and the tone of the show. it really is a good way of showing that the world isn’t just black and white as everything seems and that’s something i’ve really taken away from the show.

The storyline of Simon and Marcy is my favorite in the series, and I mean the entire story, not just the episode. In fact, their my two favorite characters with Betty (Simon's Girlfriend) placing third for reasons that'll be obvious later on in the series.

With Adventure Time being my favorite cartoon of all time, I have to say I’m really glad you’ve liked it and decided to watch it, the 2nd half is even better than the first half, and seasons 7 and 8 are among my favorite seasons of any show ever.

There's a common theory that the "I Remember You" episode with Ice King/Marceline history is an allegory for Alzheimer's, which is just heartbreaking and adds another level to an already emotional episode.

Yeah. It's... interesting what Adventure Time is. It's more than just a show really. It was kinda the saving grace that rescued Cartoon Network and reignited the flame of American Animation. Also if it isn't clear yet, which there have been some Strong hints, Ice King starts off as just "the crazy character" (which is a very shallow trope) who very quickly turns into a compelling dementia narrative.

Hello there Bill!! It was an excellent video as always, and I'm so, so happy to hear you've been enjoying the show so much!! Your takes are always quite enjoyable! If I were to recommend episodes for you to react, they'd be: the Stakes miniseries;the Islands miniseries; "Varmints" from the start of season 7 (I don't want to spoil you, but it's one of my faves in the series!), "Astral Plane" (i feel like there's so much to discuss from that episode, I'd love to hear your thoughts) and season 6's 2 part finale; Season 8's "Broke His Crown", Season 9's "Abstract", "Ketchup", Season 10's "The First Investigation", and, like you mentioned, the finale for the show itself. I narrowed these down based on their discussion potential and subject; they're the kind of episodes I love dearly and think about on a regular basis! I remember when “Thank You” (the episode about the fire wolf pup and the snow golem that was mentioned around 4:45) was first aired on Cartoon Network. God I feel old. I started watching this show at around 7 years old. I though watching Cartoon Network made me one of the big kids. I didn’t fully understand it but I was equal to the 13 year olds I looked up to and knew that they watched Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Chowder right along with me. I grew up watching this, and as I got older I understood it better and better until I *was* one of those big kids that I had looked up to half a decade ago and then I lost interest in it. There were RU-vid videos to watch and piles of homework to do. And suddenly, one day, I walked past the tv, which was idly playing good old Cartoon Network and there it was. A commercial for the final episode. I had lost touch with my past and moved on to bigger and better things but in turn I had lost sight of my beginnings, sitting on that old carpet laughing along with Finn and Jake and eating my fries. I cried when I watched the finale, not only because it was ending, but because it had ended almost without me. I had missed everything past s5, and had no idea what was happening. Everyone had changed so much without me there and yet they were all the same people I knew and loved. Watching their story come to a close, I knew that I needed to find my roots. And to all of my fellow viewers, who raged, laughed, and cried alongside me, and all the ones who came after; Take your time, and stay in touch with those you love. Before you know it. The sand has slipped through your fingers and your left feeling the emptiness of your cupped hands, a shell of what they used to be. Hold on while you still can, and don’t be afraid to look back when you are far down the road.

I'm so happy to see that you're loving this show! This show is so very important and amazing and I can definitely say from personal experience that this show impacted me as a person growing up, it taught me so much and kept me company when I was going through tough times. Ice king is my absolute favourite character and his whole story just absolutely wrecks my heart every time. I honestly feel like the finale is gonna be the big one that everyone is going to want to see a reaction to, me included. Also gonna take a minute to say that I still can't believe this show is done, it ran for 8 years and in those 8 years I grew from a young teen to a wholeass adult and it was like saying goodbye forever to a best friend. Not that I'd want it to run any longer than it did, it ended when it was the right time but man am I bad with goodbyes. I would absolutely not be the person I am today without that show and I'm just so happy to see others loving it as much as I did. Sorry for the essay but I felt it was necessary to talk about the big feels™️

Please film "Escape From the Citadel" and "The Tower" from season 6, just to hear more on how you feel about Finn and his relationship with his dad. And "Everything's Jake" and "Is That You?" just because they have a LOT of existential stuff that must thought about. Season 7 has the "Stakes" miniseries and "Crossover" which is awesome! The best episodes in season 8 are "Preboot", "Reboot", and the "Islands" miniseries. Season 9 has the "Elements" miniseries and a really great Marceline episode called "Ketchup" that you have to react to please! Also, "Three Buckekts" is very interesting and introspective. The finale "Come Along with Me" is the best part of season 10 and is the equivalent of four episodes long, and it has some great Marceline x Bubblegum moments XD! IF you wanna react to all this, it'd probably be best to have season 6 stuff in one video, then put "Stakes", "Crossover", "Preboot", "Reboot", and "Islands" in a video and discussion together. "Elements" and "Ketchup" might need a stand alone video, but you could cover them with the finale if you want?

I can understand why you didn’t do dozens of hours of reactions. It’s just not feasible for such a long series. I do hope we get to see your reaction to the miniseries in the later seasons since they’re much more serialized. A per season review could potentially be feasible? But these overarching reviews are good too! I absolutely loved the evolution of the show as well! It’s a coming of age story that grows very slowly and deliberately over many season, allowing for some of the richest characterizations I have ever seen. So many of the main characters are so complex, not only because we get to see a wide bearth of their personalities, but we also see them change drastically in clear areas. Like others have said, this show kind of grew up along with me; starting immature and silly, but slowly exploring deep philosophical and important moments of life.

Please review the final episode in full if possible. The episode is so full of things that trying to summarize it all will be quite hard. I love the way you see things, and it would be so wonderful to see a large portion of the episode in your eyes. --- I was never able to watch adventure time as a child, which always made me quite sad that I missed out on something so great. I just finished watching it on Hulu for the first time, and I've gotta say, I'm even more sad I wasnt able to grow up with the show, though I'm glad I was able to watch it in the end. It's such a great piece of work, the way they set the world up, making you feel like a child again, going on adventures and having fun, growing up and experiencing things you dont understand... Learning how to keep moving on... I really loved the show more than I thought I would. The music and how everyone who worked on the show loved what they made, even without having actually grown up with it, I feel like it's still such an integral part of my childhood, like it's always been there. It's become another show I have to rewatch every year, a show I love deeply.

For real, it’s great to see your reactions- and you got about as far for this video as I did before I got bogged down with school work, so now I gotta catch up on AT before you do! I love your thoughts on the nature of family in this show particularly. The observation that AT starts very much in medias res is a really good one, it’s cool to think about how that helps expand the world of a story. If you want another cartoon to watch/react to, the Netflix reboot of She-Ra is fantastic; it has a lot of the same emotional intelligence as SU or AT, dealing largely with trust and family and the way ideology can divide people. Plus it’s hilarious.

Damn this makes me want to get back into Adventure Time. I had stopped watching after the fifth season but recently I've been seeing a lot of beautiful fanart and reviews. I think I will get back into it :) I forget how insane Finn's upbringing is

Your genuine emotional responses and insights were wonderful to see as always. I love the reactions and the review/analysis parts, I wouldn't want to lose either. I think the best things to react to besides the finale are the Stakes and Islands miniseries (Elements is less essential). I also agree with people suggesting Varmints and Three Buckets. And as long as you keep asking for suggestions of shows to react to episodes or music from, I'm going to keep suggesting My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It has surprising depth in character development and lore, and great songs. If you haven't checked it out before, my impression is that you could easily become a brony if you give it a chance.

I'm glad you're enjoying the show Bill! I said it in the TTS AT music vid but it's a show you gotta stick with because season 6 is rather rough (many people have problems with the season) but if you get to season 7, you did it, you passed the hump! There are fun parts of s6, the beginning is very good (would like a reaction to those first two episodes of the season), you get another Fionna and Cake (which isn't as good as the first two but I like anyway), there's a fun episode called Jermaine (which is incidentally followed up by one of my least favorite episodes XD) but the season starts to go a little too off the rails and spirals into... I don't even know how to describe it, it's just a bit too much though. But season 7 has the miniseries Stakes which focuses mainly on Marceline so definitely gonna want to see a reaction of that and the other miniseries later down the line Islands and Elements which would all probably have to be their own separate reaction videos since that's 8 episodes per miniseries. Other reactions vids include Dark Purple, The Music Hole, *leave space blank for me to edit other episodes I'm blanking on right now 😂* Many other comments will mention it but yeah, Finn's autotuned singing is explained when he first sings like that in s1 because he ate a mini computer(? I think, I haven't watched S1 in a loooong time, I really need to rewatch the entire show) and I think he's durable because this is 1000 years after an apocalypse, he's just a human that's adapted to all the shit I guess. I forgot you didn't hear My Best Friends in the World in the first vid you did, I'm glad you like it, that's one of my favorites too (can't beat I'm Just Your Problem for me though)! Also Simon is great, I love him so much. I feel ya with Finn and Flame Princess 😔, I believe the ship name for it is SmokyBear but yeah, RIP 😔😔😔. Edit: you mention Simon stopping the bombs, we don't know if that happened in this timeline, he did in the Farmworld timeline and died as a result so I think we can assume that didn't happen in the main Ooo timeline.

you explain things SO so well, your comment about the story of adventure time feeling like you're in the last third covers exactly the feel of adventure time. i grew up on this show- literally! when i started watching i was like 12 or so, and now i'm 21, and it ended a year or two ago. it's been a TRIP, and i'm SO excited for you to see the end. this show is so, so cathartic, it's helped me through so many hard times with anything from its humor to morals. anyway, i can't wait for you to finish the second half! I think you should specifically review stakes and elements separately, and theres a few last season end game episodes that are super heavy, and i'd love to see reactions to them (ESPECIALLY temple of mars and hall of egress!!)

I've been rewatching AT lately and I'm right in the middle of season 5. There's just so much in this show, I'm still finding Easter eggs. And all of the music is great; I love the variety of the score.

I love adventure time because of its legacy it left and how it shaped many cartoons after it and how in this show had the creators of other shows like Regular show and Steven universe. It's also my favourite show because I grew up with and its diverse themes and characters with their personalities and the philosophical aspects of this show that randomly occur but it fits in this show so well what I'm trying to say is this show was a phenomenon and how well it was made.
