The Roundtable also had a theory that because of Garnet's future vision combined with Steven's empathy and "aura" powers, that Sunstone is possibly aware that there are people watching and therefore they can break the 4th wall.

@@dewdney101I mean, Sardonyx also breaks the forth wall. It might just be that Sapphire’s vision gets stronger with each new gem in the fusion. When fused with one, she can see timelines. When fused with two, she’s aware she’s in a show, etc

I mean, both Sardonyx and Sugilite also had those more aware tendencies, and... literally Sardonyx did GENUINE fourth wall breaking in "Know Your Fusion". Like she talked about paying Sugilite's VA (Nicki Minaj) and literally showed clips that said they were from CN so... Garnet's and Sapphire's fusions having those fourth wall breaking properties isn't new.

as someone who was there for the beginning of Steven Universe, yes the hiatuses were fucking horrible to wait through but this show is one of my fave ever just by how much heart is in it. I'm currently on my rewatch and managed to get s4 in two days. I am so excite for the movie

How exactly is she one of the saddest in the show? She was Pink’s old pearl, and then somehow or other, she lost her eye, went to White, blah blah blah. Not really sad. In fact, it’s pretty ambiguous and not very well-thought-out. I don’t like her, and I definitely hate how much the fan base gawks over her like she’s some kind of real character with depth. If you wanna feel bad for someone, feel bad for Pearl or something. I guess my question is, what do you actually like about her? Because she doesn’t have a personality, and her backstory’s okay, and her design is pretty average. She has one line and all her characterization comes from dumbass comics fans wrote about the character. So, I don’t blame him for hating White Pearl. In fact, I kinda hate her too.

I'm so happy you did this, the show tackles a lot of societal issues and most fans love the writers for it, there's a lot of LGBTQ+ hints and parallels, as well as mentions of general unacceptance of minorities or different people, it has a mature and healthy way of handling problems that isn't too overwhelming but it's also not too simple and cliché, it talks about the issues and shows a way to tackle them as a suggestion, then the characters seem to slowly get over the situation after a few episodes to even a few seasons, and ends on a note that anyone can be unhealthy and manipulating if they have issues, and you can help and teach anyone hateful to understand or at least respect different people and minorities.

Btw, about the fusions: All full Gems and their fusions use she/her pronouns. All of Steven's fusions use they/them pronouns. However, Rainbow Quartz also uses he/him, and Sunstone and Obsidian also use she/her. Stevonnie and Smokey Quartz only use they/them Edit: as of the Movie, Steg uses solely he/him pronouns

I love the scene in Change Your Mind where pink Steven hugs Steven and I remember the video Rose made for him saying whenever you love being yourself that it was her loving him. So seeing the personified version of the pink diamond hugging and happy to know that he's always been steven hit really hard. And it was beautiful.

I cried every time you cried I'm so glad you watched the whole show and enjoyed it so much. Everything in SU is so important, from the characters to the themes. It was so well executed and I'm happy some people will be able to grow up watching this and learning from it.
