Here's my 2 cents. This is not merely a "garment"--this is ART!! And ART doesn't have to be symmetrical EVER. Machines do symmetrical & perfection--Artists do WHATEVER THE HECK inspires them at the moment! OK????

It’s a fantastic sweater, my opinion is to wear it a few times if you find yourself bothered by the sleeve you can still rip back - if not then don’t worry about! I love the true showing of time spent and the acknowledgment of that time. Bravo!

Your sweater is beautiful, and so inspiring! So much spinning - and so much organization. I vote for leaving the sleeve the way she is - more character! I'm spinning a polwarth/silk blend, and was amazed when I washed the first (little) skein to see how fatter the finished the finished was. But oh so soft and squishy.

The difference between manufactured items (ala the industrial revolution) and hand made items (even artisan) is uniqueness and individuality born of inspiration, or creativity. I love it! I too am torn about frogging to match colors on the sleeves. 1 part of me says leave it because it's a wearable photo to remind you of your journey from start to finish. 2nd part of me is saying "you're going to go crazy with the off set! Fix it" but that's me. I do like the left sleeve more than the right because you don't appear lopsided and it balances with the body as well. Update: after seeing your excitement and pride with the left sleeve.... Fix the color issue. It will just be a minor bump in the road and you will be way more proud of yourself in the overall spectrum. Plus, it will just add another "mile" to the journey with another I did it aspect in there

Gorgeous Sweater! It turned out beautifully! Well done you!!!! Isn't it interesting that the sleeves are bit different, despite even dividing of the fibre.... typical for handspun, and part of the adventure. It looks wonderful just as it is, but whether or not to rework the sleeves all depends on how you want the finished sweater to look, how you will be most happy with it. What a wonderful adventure you showed us today, thanks for sharing! ❤

This is hands down my favorite Flax that I've ever seen. I love the colors. I love the fit. I love the very minor sleeve difference. I love it all. It's wonderful and deserves all the admiration it will get here. I'm really going to to have to consider spinning a sweater for myself. Thank you for acknowledging the time it takes to do these things. I always want to see how things look when used, but I'm heavier in yarn stash than finished wearable when it comes to my own handspun. I'm impressed with the amount you get done for these videos!

Fabulous! Leave it as it is, in my opinion! I am just finishing a pair of 2 at a time socks with commercial yarn, the stripes were matching perfectly until 1 ball had a knot and the striped sequence was way off. I put it down for a day and then knew I had to make both socks match. I glad it I did. BUT if it had been my hand spun yarn I would not change it, it is the art of my hands and there is beauty in the imperfections! It is the signature of my work! ❤️🧶❤️

Evie, I think you are brilliant! First, you calculate how much fiber to buy to spin into enough yarn for a sweater. Then, you calculate exactly how to spin the yarn to have the stripes of the sleeves match the width of the stripes in the body - amazing! Next, you knit three separate pieces (or is it four pieces?) that end up aligning perfectly! On top of that, you took the time to fix the garter stitch you missed along the length of the sleeve! I’m truly amazed and think your sweater is beautiful and looks great on you! However, and please don’t think I’m being picky, but I vote to fix the sleeve. You are a perfectionist and I think it would be an even more amazing story to tell that you were able to match up the stripes. I know I would be even more impressed by that story! As a sewer/quilter, I look at and notice matched stripes, plaids and seams, and that was the second thing I noticed as you were showing us, that’s why I vote for the fix. Plus, I’d like to see how it’s done too! Either way, it’s really beautiful! 😍💕
