I made a review video on the SX4 shortly after I got it and now after 3-4 years of use I feel that I can give my complete and honest opinion on it. Greetings from Greece. I have the same gun. It is awesome. I had benelli m2, fabarm l4s, franchi affinity, beretta vitoria (pintail for usa). The sx4 is better gun. The best way to avoid rust is to get the barrel painted with ceracote and once a year clean the recoil spring tube inside the stock. You are right about the choke tubes. This gun needs aftermarket chokes and the carlsons are the best choice.

I'm just about to exchange my maxus for an sx4. I bought one Carlson's improved cylinder for the maxus, as i had a problem the Browning invector plus choke. Think i'll pick up one or two more Carlson's. Thanks for the honest assessment of the Winchester. 👍

They use the Browning Invector Plus Tubes or Carlson's!

Suggestion for you to consider. Drill a small hole on the bottom recoil pad end of your butt stock for water accumulation in the butt stock to drain out. I would get the SX4 Hybrid with cerakote of all the metal and a plastic camo stock. A 26 inch barrel.length for me though. Extended chokes would make it closer to 27 inches in length.

You mentioned dove hunting. How does the 3 1/2 inch chamber eject the 2 3/4 low brass shells?

Never had any issue with the low or really anything for that matter

Which choke do you think would be the best for buckshot? I’ve ordered the gun for deer season to retire my 1100 but not sure which choke to get and I don’t want to spend 300 dollars trying to find the right choke.

Buck shot is about the only thing I've never put through my SX4 so I'm not sure. I know improved cylinder is recommend for slugs

I’m about to order one of these, was planning on getting a 3 inch chamber because I’ve had bad luck out of 3-1/2 inch guns in the past, does the 3-1/2 inch chamber still cycle 2-3/4 inch rounds without issue?

I have never had issues with the 3 1/2 inch shells chambering. This being said I only use it for turkeys and geese so I don't use it much. When it comes to the 2 3/4 inch they cycle perfectly. While the gun was breaking in I would get a jam every now and then but after 200-300 shells shot I have had no issues.

@@Huntfish3653 I never use 3-1/2 inch shells the only reason I was considering it was because of ammo availability, do you think I will have any problems if I get the 3-1/2 inch chambered gun
