Why does Conan make no sense? Movie is pretty gory. Is pure OG fantasy, without going over the top with magic crap. Makes better sense than Omni Man or men in tights super heroes.

Pretty sure Conan is here cause they couldn’t get Arnold to Voice Terminator in MK11, so they’re gonna make up for it in MK1. Me personally, I think Conan makes perfect sense in MK. He’s a fantasy warrior. Maybe I’m bias growing up with those movies, but I’m hyped
Hyped too. I think it's just another iconic character Boon lives. Me too. Who doesn't like a brutal beefy barbarian class in ANY game? But I don't think old, almost 80 Arnold will voice this. It will sound off. I'm betting a decent impersonator who can capture young Arnold.
actually, Conan is also a comic book character so I understand why he’s in the game to go with the Omniman, Homelander, Peacemaker comic book character theme
There was a decent amount of books of Conan as well. I think the problem is that a lot of people never read any of the books, comic books, or the original movies. I've always thought he would be a bad ass character for mk.
Ghost face- Iconic horror movie villian but all he really does sneak up on you and stab you so will be interesting to see how they make him fun. NOOB- Iconic MK character and his addition gives us all the ninjas which is amazing! Sektor & Cyrax - Very happy they are finally playable and don’t mind the gender swap since we have the OG versions as Kameos. Conan- A big ass barbarian with a big ass sword!! This game is full of ninjas, sorcerers and monsters so Conan will be a nice change! T-1000- A liquid metal terminator that can form any weapon and can shapeshift is going to be awesome to play plus Terminator 2 one of the greatest movies of all time! Overall this Kombat pack is awesome and I’m very excited to play all these characters.

Maybe because back then, they created original iconic characters in contrast to today where there is barely anyone, due to everything being a remaster/remake/unnecessary sequel🤷

They're definitely going to say that the T-1000 suffered some kind of malfunction coming through whatever time rift or portal he came through. That's whay he's not able to regenerate after being dismembered and all that
Idk if I’m right but I don’t think they have ever explained why havik can be dismembered and not grow his arms back and stuff so I reckon they’ll just never mention it or Johnny will make a joke and never give a valid reason

Reading the Robert E Howard Conan books, Savage Sword of Conan by Marvel, the Conan Movies 🍿 I really can see why they included him as DLC. He fights mythical monsters and creatures, the world that he lives in is brutal and bloody , also the dialogue will be interesting as seeing as Conan hates magic and sorcery. This seems to be modeled off of Conan the Destroyer movie which I can see why with him fighting a God monster at the end and ripping its horn off with his bare hands.
At first I was iffy on Conan, I thought he was “too old of a character” to be recognizable, connect with the mass audience and sell well. But after looking into him more and seeing his model I’m very excited and thinks he fits so well. I just wish we had kotal khan, shao khan, Conan, and tusk (from killer instinct) all in the same game tho I know that’s impossible
@@Codename_aether you make a very valid and interesting point that I didn’t think about! When I first heard about Conan I was thinking “Wow that’s an awesome idea! He fits perfectly!” But I didn’t realize how old the character is and how relevant he is in today’s media and player base. Maximillion is excited for Conan but he’s around the age that grew up with the character (also he loves KI and Conan is Tusk in that game) to where Super I’m guessing is a lot younger and like he said In the video didn’t see the movies or know a lot about him. Love Super and love the channel but your comment was on point bro.

The problem with that is as follows: the Hell Priest (Pinhead) may be eternal, but his actor, Doug Bradley, is not. Doug is old, and we can't be sure how much acting he has left in him, assuming he's even interested in coming out of retirement. I have a solution: since we're apparently on a trend of having characters switch sexes, we might consider bringing in the Hell Priestess from the Hellraiser 2022 movie, played splendidly (IMO, of course) by Jamie Clayton. That Hellraiser movie, while it's not as good as Hellraiser 1 and 2 were (to be fair, that bar is set pretty damn high), is pretty good, and it actually feels like a Hellraiser movie, which is a relief after the last few steaming turds in the original run.
To be fair to ed boon and the guys who chose these characters. They did give us omni, homelander, and peacemaker in kp1 which are all characters for the younger generation. So I don't have a problem with them choosing some older characters. Just make them fun and give cool customization options

I think gender swap aside, my main frustration apart from the pincer type things on Sektor’s back, is that the eyes aren’t blue anymore, the green doesn’t compliment the red imo.
My main thing abt the gender swap is just the fact that they decided to gender swap 2 characters instead of just adding 2 of their female characters into the pack, I don't really see the purpose of the swap🤷♂️
I personally think this is an absolutely goated kombat pack, ima hit the most devious combos with all 6 of these characters and enjoy myself while doing it
Conan the Barbarian codified basically all the tropes associated with the sword and sorcery genre. Basically everything about Outworld is derivative of stuff from the Conan books and movies.
These guest characters are better than the first. Even GhostFace which i think is overrated. Also its kinda funny seeing people say just add "X" character like its that easy and the other companies would want them to be in MK.
If ghostface doesnt have a fatality where he takes off the mask and its a character that relates to the victim (eg Mileena behind the mask, Kitana’s death), I DONT WANT IT 🙅♀️
It was hype at first, but looking back, there were so many better options and what we're getting is mid. Another Terminator, another Arnold? Definitely better choices.
I think Tusk from killer instinct was based off of Conan, so his gameplay might be a bit similar to that. I’m always open for surprises tho, because remember no one expected peacemaker to be as fun as he was.
Im with you, I hope we do get Erron Black at some point in this games life cycle. He was one of the most fun from current games, and hopefully he gets added in pack 3

It makes no sense to me that an MK fan finds Conan (an 80’s Icon) to be a weird choice for MK when in the past we had pop culture 70’s and 80’s Icons just as Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Jason, Predator, Alien, T-800 and freaking Rambo. Really! Conan makes no sense?💀💀💀 Arnold gives two shit about securing a 2 time game deal, he didn’t even cared to voice the T-800 the last time. Ed Boon has admitted that they love including those pop culture Icons in their games, because those are the characters that they personally would love to play as and the characters that were relevant to that time period were MK was created.
Because he isn't a real MK fan, this guy just makes money of MK content ,thats why he has no problem with the robots being genderswapped and humans in a Cyrax/Sektor cosplay suit . He plays what is the trending characters and moves on, it's that simple after a month he will have milked all those characters...😂

For some reason the “alright” At the beginning of this video brought me all the way back to injustice 2 days. Also they’ll likely be able to do any mask cuz the mask rights are owned by the people that actually make the mask, and they let dead by daylight do the scary movie mask for ghostface
I can't have any opinions on Conan as I've never seen, only heard of that franchise of Arnold's. Not really into Scream, but I'd imagine their gameplay being a wild card like MKvDC/MK11 Joker. People not wanting T-1000 in doesn't realize how different he his from Arnold as T-800, and fans envisioning him being like Glacius from KI is the PERFECT setup.
Something worth mentioning about the ghost face license, it is not owned by the makes of the Scream franchise, it is actually owned by a separate costume company. If you look at Dead by Daylight, they have a ton of cosmetic options that release for ghost face in that game where as other licenses don’t get many updates or options post launch. The Wasssuuppppp mask is even in that game as well. It seems the company that owns that license is happy to do collaboration work often. It’s not too far fetched to assume, given the MTX happy nature of this game, that there will be a ton of ghost face cosmetics *FOR PURCHASE* here too, including the wassup mask.
My whole thing with the kombat pack 2 is with Sektor and Cyrax. First off both designs are sick. Absolutely love them. But why genderswap them? If you wanted to add females in the pack. Why not just use Jade, Skarlet, Cassie, Jacqui, or even Sonya. Super is right it's about the gameplay. But couldn't help but ask. (Give me that Cyber Smoke skin dammit). Ghostface is also a weird one because he isn't his own character. He's a whodoneit or who's under the mask. So how does that even work? Other than that. I'm excited for the kombat pack
If they don't, it's six male characters. What about the women that play their game. Should they say, who cares about them? They want to make money. Plus, their gender isn't that important frfr. How would it be better if they were male? How does that hurt the game? It's extremely unimportant. It's a brand new timeline* and story. The past you remember has been erased.

Well for one. Them female characters that you just named don’t even fit with this game at all for right now. It’s obvious they chose these specific characters because of the aftermath story expansion. Jade would be useless for this story, starlet should only join a game for shao kahn to be his soldier and that’s it.
There is witchcraft in Conans World, so Conan beeing in Mortal Kombat with sorcerers like Shang Tsung makes more sense compared to Ghostface being there.
You're right in terms of popularity these 3 MK characters are one of the most loved. The only one missing that can compare with their popularity is of course Jade.
People on x were saying that Conan was a huge inspiration for Shao kahn and very liked by Ed boon. Also Conan is sick. He is the only real giga chad IMO

Conan is a big comic book character, and it looks like Ghost face and the T-1000 both have their share of comic book appearances as well. I think NetherRealm are still sticking with the comic book character theme, with all these being their current iterations of the characters in movies and TV.
I am actually so excited about Cyrax, Sector and Noob Saibot. I like all three of them very much and considering we already have the original Cyrax and Sector I honestly don't agree with those who have an issue with the gender swapping. It doesn't matter one bit, new timeline and new takes on the characters. I loved loved the Mortal kombat trilogy Noob so much and if he plays anything like that I am so happy.
Scream is the first horror movie I can remember watching when I was a kid, so I do love Ghostface. The only problem is I can’t picture him fighting in a fighting game. He’s not really a brawler or anything, he just stealth kills or uses elaborate traps, so I can’t imagine what his gameplay is gonna be like
The only thing that weirds me out is how the Cyborgs aren’t FULL ROBOTS,, i would have preferred that but I’ll trust NRS bc i didn’t think id like Kameos either but they’ve been a lot of fun

As for the guest characters… I don’t care for them. I don’t plan on using them at all. The only guest character I’ve liked in the history of MK was Kratos ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Im not a guest character user, i just hope they’re not ridiculously OP to the point we see them in every top 8 in a tournament.

I can see Conan having a Jason momoa premiere skin as well as kotal ,just a.i the voice instead of going through all that dialogue trouble with him voice acting, and t1000 can have a khrome skin or multiple
This is probably the least excited I've been for an MK dlc pack. Idk its just not hitting. Not a big fan of any of the guest dlc despite having seen the content they come from. Conan is about the only one im semi hype for, because i love Arnold. But even then, im like....meh. I love Cyrax and Sektor, they were some of my favorites from mk9 and even triborg from mkx. The genderswap seems so....unnecessary and forced. They have to know that the majority of long time fans are not going to vibe with it. Noob is probably the one that feels the most MK out of all these characters. Hes what id expect from a MK dlc.
They could have used the voice actors for female sektor and cyrax to bring back female characters from old mk like Kira, Skarlet, or even D’Vorah And who the hell are these guests? They could have got WAY cooler guests. Like everyone says they like horror characters in mk like Michael Myres and Pennywise or I’d even be ok with a DC Villan
In regards to Scream not allowing the Wassup mask in the game as a cosmetic, there's already a precedent for it in games with Ghostface as a character. The biggest one being in Dead by Daylight.

this kombat pack sucks. Sektor and Cyrax feels like its just DLC cause they knew people have been wanting them to be playable in the last 3 games in the base roster. Last kombat pack i had the same complaint about the MK characters in it and that is, there’s no 3D era characters they are the same characters that we’ve seen from mk9-11. I love noob but damn why couldn’t we get some characters that we haven’t had the chance to play as since the 3D era instead of characters that are always wanted and should have just been in the game. Instead the 3D era DLC characters are kameos…..
I've seen a lot of comments regarding T-1000 and how can he be killed due to him being made of liquid metal. I'm thinking they're just gonna make him "human," and they will give him a special move where he can turn into liquid metal for a few seconds, and in this form he can absorb projectiles and take less damage when hit. I'm also thinking when in this form, he can morph into other characters and mimic their moves.
They should consider revisiting guests from other games, since it’s been SO LONG since games like MK9 e MKX (almost a decade since X came out) or just having less guests
Great take on KP2. Art the Clown would have been SO SICK! I also want to see V from V For Vendetta. He's got hand to hand combat and range with daggers and firearms. Plus, his Guy Fawkes mask is so iconic. He'd be a perfect fit for Mk1.
I'd be 100% pumped up about this if they didn't gender swap 2 of my all-time favorite characters. That just completely ruins it for me! At least the Animalities are free because I'm not going to intentionally pay for gender swapped characters. They already conned me on the whole Johnny/Janet ordeal. I just don't see how ANY old school fan can be excited about seeing these klassic characters get spit on. It's sickening, and they won't get any of my money for it! I will NOT support their pandering to DEI tactics. They don't care about the legacy, lore, or old school fans anymore, and it's VERY obvious! They'll keep doing these things because people accept it, think it's cool, or don't care so, they'll keep buying it. So, I'm officially done with MK. 🤦♂️
