DNRS got me out of a wheel chair from lyme! However, I did find lots of the mental exersizing strange. The biggest thing it did for me was to teach me that I could "re-wire" my brain. So, for my light and sound sensitivity I used the same procedures someone uses to get over fears. I slowly increased the light in my room. Over lots of weeks I can now go out in the sunshine, and no longer keep my room dark.

I was diagnosed with CIRS back in 2017. I put all of my energies and resources into DNRS for 2 years - 2 hours a day - one with a Dispenza meditation and one with DNRS. It never touched ONE single physical symptom I had. It helped me cope with pain and dysfunction but it never eliminated the cycle of hypervigiliant pain response. Three months of carnivore has shifted MUCH more than DNRS ever touched but carnivore has set off oxalate issues and major fatigue/weakness. Im going back to the biomedical approach and trying to use diet, binders and B1 supplementation to heal my nervous system along with implementing some of the easy to do aspects of brain retraining. That's because you can't cure a pathogenic disease by trying to talk yourself out of it. CFS and Lyme and other chronic illnesses are caused by pathogens. It's either bacteria, virus, mold , fungus or parasites. These pathogens can be in any part of the body and they are protected by biofilms. No DNRS or other program is going to cure that. But techniques to reduce anxiety like medication might help the anxiety to t degree. These pathogens caused anxiety because they are in your brain and in your gut and spinal fluid. Look into Sally K Norton she talks about a low Oxalate diet and how oxalates in food can cause damage. Oxalates are like little shards of glass in your body. Look into Nattokinase to break up biofilms. Look into Low Carb diet to keep from feeding the pathogens Look into antiparasite drugs to kill the parasites Look into using Binders like Zeolite mop up the pathogen debris.

Not sure if this is something you would consider doing a video on but it would be interesting to go through a typical day of your brain training. Like what exact visualisation, how long are you grounding, etc It’s all a bit abstract for folk not doing any dnrs !😊

Thank you for this, I just started looking into the program on their website & was immediately frustrated by simply trying to find basic details about what you actually do in the program, & instead running into the same sales pitch blurb over and over. I've done web design for years (so I have opinions on this-!) & know it’s a template companies think they need to use, but for someone who’s had to slog through misinformation, obfuscating doctors, and people trying to sell a magic cure for over 20 years I have so little patience for this. I will ultimately try to take the program at it’s own merits, but it’s frustrating. Your video was the first thing I found that had any real data about it, & your thoughts resonate a lot & will help me keep some balance as I look into it.

I know we've already talked about this but it was so good to hear you do this video, I think you articulated a lot of things really well. The things that stand out to me the most is that the program gives the idea that just do DNRS as it's laid out and you'll heal (and if you're not healing youre not DNRS-ing hard enough) I feel like that can bring guilt and inhibit people from tailoring it to their needs or combining it with other modalities and supports like you said. ♥️

I have been researching programs outside of DNRS recently too, and I am noticing it is really helpful. I heard a rumor that Annie herself learned with another program that is quite well known. Annie didn’t develop her program out of a void, there is great literature out there that describes how to ease the nervous system. We can appreciate Annie and her work, while searching for outside help. It’s not a cult

Thank you for your comment! I agree. At least to my knowledge, I believe the Gupta Program came first (before DNRS). I’m going through that now and enjoying it. After I finish it I may go through Primal Trust. I love learning about this stuff!

@@brookeb7994 Thank you, Brooke! I actually just finished going through the Gupta Program and really enjoyed it. There are things I like better about both programs (pros and cons to each). Definitely go with what you feel more drawn to. ❤ I plan to share more about Gupta as well as I have the time!

Great video and super helpful, Rachel! It was quite refreshing and helpful to hear your advice on taking what works for you and discard what doesn't. Often, we think 100% compliance and following the instructions exactly is what it will take. But everyone is so unique. I am currently taking what I understand are the best parts of DNRS and combining with EMDR, meditation, and Joe Dispenza like affirmations. Thanks again for a great video!

Hey Rachael, thanks for doing this video and addressing this. I’ve been looking into DNRS for a while and have decided I’m going to move forward with giving this a try. However, most people I’ve listened to that have had great success with the program have made these same points and have come to the same conclusions. For some maybe 50 or more of their healing was just knowing and believing they could heal. Some had great success with books, others with Curable some with God and nutrition. We are all so different it only makes sense a one size fits all approach isn’t right for how complex and different we all are. I’m so happy for you that you’re healing 🤗 I would also love to see what a day of DNRS for you looks like

I think a lot of people got to a state of nervous system dysregulation because of over-doing things. Be it at work or studies or whatever, always operating from a place of tension and pressure. The thing with DNRS is that they tell you to have a « military » mindset and apply the techniques no matter what. And that in itself can create tension. So I think the program can be helpful but it can also be counterproductive for some.. I think sometimes regulating the NS means doing a little less rather than do more and trying to heal from a place of tension..

Your comment just helped me to make up my mind on NOT pursuing the DNRS program. I am highly motivated and have a great fear of failure and disappointment. That's part of what led me to this point. I pushed my mind and body until they could no longer continue. Just the thought of a militaristic approach creates tension for me. I'm looking toward other programs because of this.

@@MackLee23 That fear of failure and disappointment is what's keeping you sick. Find out where that comes from, release the SUPPRESSED rage, anger, etc that goes with it, and you'll start to heal. The main basis of ALL these retraining programs is to LET GO OF FEAR, no matter the type, the reason, or the causes. Release it. Easier said than done, but essential...

@@DDumbrille my question is, does the program actually teach you how to release those negative emotions, though? I can visualize happy memories just for the sake of doing it all day, but that's not necessarily changing how I feel on a deeper level. I wonder if something like EMDR could be helpful in these instances, prior to starting a brain restraining program? I have no issue with admitting that I'm plagued by fear, anger, frustration, resentment, etc. Being raised under a certain set of circumstances impacted me in deeper ways than what I even consciously realize. I don't enjoy suggesting that I'm a victim, but it's truly affected every fiber of my being.

@@MackLee23 I don't think DNRS deals with releasing -- or even examining suppressed negative emotions. The woman who started it did the Lightning Process, then tweaked it a bit so she could cash in. There are some people though who can create new neural pathways by emphasizing the positive and that works for them. A friend of mine did the Gupta Program, and near the beginning realized he couldn't say he loved himself. He barely liked himself as he was suffering so much and blamed himself for that. It took him six months of saying 'I love you' many times/day before that pathway was believable to him. A few months back a friend of mine suggested I tune in to free zoom group with a woman named Mary Sise. It's every Tuesday at 11am pacific time. I don't in any way work for her at all -- the only reason I'm aware of it is because she has these once-weekly free zoom calls. Anyway, the first time I tuned in was an EYE-OPENER. She's ALL ABOUT releasing those suppressed fears, angers, etc., and again it was eye opening. Almost like she gave me permission to get angry...or to SHOW/FEEL the anger that's been suppressed. She says it's essential that one not only release it, but REALLY LET IT OUT. No wimpy, "I'm mad at you mom and dad, etc." You can listen in/watch for FREE. No sales pitches or anything. A google search will no doubt turn up her site...highly recommended.

I do a daily practice (see crappy childchood fairy for details, it's free) that deals with releasing suppressed negative emotions. It consists of writing 2 times daily my fears and resentments (Examples: I have fear that I don't find the right nervous system retraining program for me. Fear of losing motivation, hope again. I feel resentment towards x because I have fear that I am unworthy.), canceling/destroying the written stuff and mantra meditating afterwards (instead of sitting still I prefer to do lymph- and vagus exercises, enjoy feeling present, releasing lots of stress, yawning like crazy).

Thank you for sharing this video. I found it quite helpful and not negative, in any way. To me, it makes total sense that one path of healing is not the only path. I do think DNRS would be a good place to begin but I've been doing other energy type work that has been helping, along with meditation and prayer. I don't want to give up everything I love and drop the practices that are working for me completely. Following DNRS is fine as long as I have some freedom to also follow some of my other practices. I'm not a renegade, but I do think my beliefs will come into play at some point and I don't really want to lose these beliefs. However, I am still deciding if I want to purchase DNRS so I'm doing a lot of research. I'm leaning towards purchasing DNRS program but was concerned how strict it needed me to be. Your video sounds more like how I feel about healing & I too believe that I would benefit from DNRS and not have to follow it 100%. There needs to be room for other modalities that I find comfort in or else I would probably quit, before I even begin.

Hi. I wanted to reply. I am doing th DNRS and when annie says to "only" do Dnrs, I know for me that I would continue restorative yoga, Jin Shin Jyutsu self help( which is incredible and quieting the mind and regenerating body) etc. Yes I will keep what already works for me yet I do feel that other than that DNRS needs to implementing as outlined in the program.. I too Lay down some during rounds and have benefit, But standing does help keep me focused. Good luck on you rewiring!

Thank you for this video. Its really helpful. I'm currently doing the DNRS programme and am finding it interesting and helpful in some ways but in contrast to that I'm finding it abit restrictive. I really liked what you said about taking what resonates with you and applying it to life, thats what I'm going to start doing.

Funny I never got the messages from the program that you did. I think we hear what we want to hear. I always heard to make it your own but stick to the steps. Annie has always explained that her program exists on a platform of environmental awareness and talks about diet too. She also goes into great detail about how she came up with the program. I think you've just evolved into the direction the program is designed to do. Your testimonial is very similar to the people who've healed from DNRS. The cheesy part of the program is actually the best part because it's about practicing self love. I've done many programs and haven't ever gotten this deep in self love. I do my rounds lying in bed. It's only a recommendation that you stand not a rule. I was hoping to hear more about your experience with your brain's response to rewiring as I'm having some interesting experiences.

So refreshing to hear you say this. I bought the program, and watched some of the classes, and just couldn't go on. I feel like I could have just learned this watching neuroscience videos. Finally just got myself over to Spain for 2 months, and am doing pretty darn good. Still get tired, but nothing close to how I was. Thanks for being honest.

@@Star5dg Hi David. I got back to Ireland the end of November from Spain. I was pretty much back to my old self. Still got tired if I did too much, but would rest a day and be fine. As you know, Ireland is mostly cloudy and rainy, very little sun, so just in the last couple of weeks, I'm getting symptoms back. The sun is the answer. Thanks for asking.

@@ContraryMary I'm from Scotland so I'm fully aware of Scotland and Ireland terrible grey weather and average summer temp of 16 degrees 🙈 my symptoms improve significantly in summer but long dark winters I'm practically homebound. I'm thinking of going to Spain for few months try climb out this mess. Sorry to hear your symptoms are coming back. Summer not long now hopefully will help you

Oh I really appreciate this experience. I totally agree with you that it's one piece of a whole puzzle of healing. I dislike any diet, exercise program, brain training, etc. That claims to be the be all and end all of healing. It really is a holistic approach. I do think this sounds like a really good piece though! I've been focusing a lot on diet and exercise/ lymphatic massage, etc. And I really feel like this is a component I've been missing. Thank you so much

Totally agree, thank you for your comment! There are so many ways to regulate the nervous system & help the body to heal! Brain retraining is an excellent one, especially for people with severe chronic illness. But it certainly isn't the only thing that can help people recover. ❤️️

I did DNRS so long ago and made progress to a small degree. It’s based in visualization and later I realized I don’t have mental pics ability aphantasia. I tried to mod by doing audio steps vs visualization such as music which is more powerful for me than visual. But when I wanted to explore and maybe incorporate add one such as other programs or modifying the protocol it seemed there was a black and white approach vs open minded about tailoring and incorporating other programs for a best practices for me and share that or gain support within their program to do that. Loved the program yes, but it wasn’t my end all cure. And it felt to me as though because I wasn’t achieving the desired results it must be because I wasn’t doing it right or enough… it was me not their program. I could see their program worked for so many I knew it could work for many… but I had hit a roadblock and couldn’t push through by sheer will and rounds. I am so thankful I have it in my toolbox though, it was long ago.

I saw the most success when I watched myself do my rounds it was a good Mirroring watching myself do my rounds by video recording them including song and dance that’s when I saw the most progress. Always doing my rounds in front of a mirror having a dance floor type situation with the mirror very helpful

Hypermobility in the upper cervical spine impacts the visual-special system. It creates continual threat because the body is not safe in space. The brain. This is probably how making it better impacts in exactly the same way. Reducing the threat in as many ways as possible.

Hey, good to hear your thoughts on it. I've been doing the ANS Rewire program and have learned alot! I HIGHLY recommend CFS Unraveled book by Dan Neuffer also. He's the recovered CFS person who created ANS Rewire. I also had something called a Stellate Ganglion block recently that has been very helpful. It's an injection into a bundle of nerves in your neck that control your autonomic nervous system. This injection reboots your ANS and gets it in a calm baseline state. As I've learned our body needs to be able to switch into a parasympathetic state to heal and can't be in constant fight or flight. This injection can be helpful for PTSD, CFS, among other conditions. For the first time in probably 12 years, my heart rate is normal (not 120-140 resting!) and now it can handle some exercise and exertion without completely sending me into a major crash! I've had pretty bad ME/CFS, POTS etc for over a decade. This has been pivotal in my recent ability to work towards recovery. LOVE Dan Neuffer. He convinced me that healing is possible. I learned a lot from his ANS rewire program. I am doing DRNS now because I wanted a more regimented, specific program as far as what I actually do. I still use everything I learned from Dan though and his program is more holistic. It has been interesting to me to note that almost all of the concepts and many of the steps are the same in both programs, which gives me more confidence in the programs. Dan is such an endearing, fun and entertaining presenter. I really missed that with DNRS. But boy did I get the regimented thing I was looking for with DNRS😂😉

@@daniella4889 hey! I'd say my brain fog isn't near as severe as it used to be, although the SGB didn'thelp it.. I'd say low dose naltrexone helped me with that, as I've been taking it for 5 years now. The SGB was seriously nothing to be scared of. They had me under very light sedation, was still awake and aware. The doctor slowly inserted the needle into my neck and it was some moments of pain or discomfort but absolutely nothing that would make me fearful to do it often(not that you'd ever need to haha) The needle was in my neck for a total of probably 2 minutes and then it's over. Wellllll worth the potential benefits it may bring you, as it's helped me! If your ANS needs this type of help and reboot, I'm not sure what else you can do that could bring the same necessary help that only the SGB can provide. I'd love to hear if you end up trying it out and what improvements you get! ❤️

@@jessedwards2912 thanks for your detailed reply! I started LDN about 6 weeks ago very low. I crawled my way up to 1.5mg I’m almost at 2mg. Haven’t felt anything as yet 🤞🏼 I am looking for a doctor here in Australia that will even consider a SGB. I have a few appointments coming up in the next few months

I did it for two years and am in remission from Lyme. I partnered it with intense trauma /PTSD therapy to address the core issue of why I was sick and dnrs was just a supplement to the trauma support

Hello. Way to go. Your doing great! Did you implement all 5 pillars of DNRS for most of the year and recovered and THEN took what resonated with you and incorporated into life. From what i can see so many people are dragging out there recovery for years because they do not implement all 5 pillars as the program outlines. Of course, I am going to contiune to do Jin Shin Jyutysu self help to quiet my mind and regenerate my body and energy and Nutrition Response Testing. As I recover, I will naturally muscle test for less supplements. Yes, I am doing restorative yoga. Annie recommends exercise and proper nutrition. Remember, You are making this video AFTER you rewired from DNRS> I love your guided visualizations mediations. I encourage you to make more. Simple, detailed beautifully. Bravo on your recovery. It is important to be aware of what we share when people look to us for help. Do you feel you are completley Rewired?

I think it’s like you say, so many different ways to do things! And it depends on attitude, experiences, and resources as well. I often say to people that I’m not against allopathic medicine (although definitely not all for it either!) and I’m not 100% for natural medicine either…. I don’t agree with any one diet for every person or one approach for every person….. it’s as you say, figure out what is helpful and works and move forward. I’d also say that sometimes things we tried in the past may not have worked BUT if circumstances change, then it may work in the future. (Whatever “it” is!) I love seeing your videos and I’m always encouraged by you. 😊

Argh... it's so frustrating to have to experiment with all the theories, drugs, natural cures, foods, modalities, doctors, and programs just to try and find the thing that works for you (then multiply that times four for me and my kids). Mathematically speaking that could be an infinite number of possibilities and there is no telling how long it will take you to find it or if you ever will. Sorry, just feeling a little discouraged today. 😮‍💨

I absolutely agree with you that the body is self healing and that’s where all the power is. 👍🏻 And if you don’t think against yourself, just like you say, then healing becomes a natural thing. They talk about this very same topic of visualizing health, belief in health, etc., and you can cure anything, because we are all made to be healthy. Happy to have found your channels! I have just learned about these brain retraining programs and am very interested but also quite cautious. Have you done EFT -- Tapping? I find it very helpful. I don't see any mention of it in these programs.

I know my functional medicine doctor recommended trying Curable for my CCI. She lightly talked about DNRS. I really need some stability in my neck of some kind that I can’t get from PT. I still have brain damage from my concussion from a few years ago preventing my eye to work correctly. I wonder how much Curable is like DNRS

The DNRS program is structured poorly. The videos feel like they're from the 1980s. There's way too much repetition and ancillary information that isn't necessary. It shouldnt be a struggle to get through a 5-day course but it was so boring. The exercises help but I imagine spending an hour convincing yourself you're happy is always going to help. I am much happier doing the Wim Hof training method. The course is much cheaper, much more enjoyable to go through, they don't spam you with upsells like DNRS, and the results are easier to feel. We don't need to spend 1 hour a day going through this weird made-up therapy talking to ourselves like crazy people. I do a 5 minute ice bath, I do 15 minutes of breathing. And I do some stretching. Done :)

8:24 If the CNS is your target, you might want to look into cerebrolysin and methylcobalamine (powdered). There's more to the CNS but that's a good place to start researching.

If something is too complex or hard to follow or I can’t get around in the website, I will eventually just stop doing it. Very well said. One resource people my not think of for understanding beliefs ,brain training and neuroplasticity is Anthony (Tony) Robbins the life coach. One caution though, Robbins is not a qualified therapist and i am not suggesting he is, nor am I promoting his hype. But his knowledge about neuro linguistic programming and neuroplasticity is actually very good. I don't like the way he has marketed his knowledge, but if you want an extra resource on this topic it is worth listening to the technical side of what he is teaching. Again, I am not promoting Robbins coaching, I am only suggest his knowledge about brain training is very good and much of it can be applied to your health in a very positive way. One great line he uses has stuck with me for many years and is so true "Your focus determines your reality, and if you want to change your reality, you need to change your focus". Love him or hate him...he has some great knowledge about how the mind/brain works and how to use that knowledge to effect positive change in your mental state.

I don’t see the way I eat as restrictive. Most food people are eating these days isn’t actually food at all (ex. ultra processed, refined sugar, seed oils). Seed oils and processed foods damage the nervous system and are making people very sick, so I don’t have any desire to eat them. Food wires our brains and is our fuel and I believe it’s very important for overall health. While I know many people do well with DNRS even without changing diet, I don’t believe that’s the most holistic approach to healing. Hope that makes sense. ❤️

This does not pertain to what you are talking about in your video but I just wanted to know if you feel like the Prolotherapy that you received was a big contributor to you being able to drive again and feel well again? I have been dealing with chronic pain in my neck and many other symptoms I have been to chiropractors neurologist you name it and then I came across upper cervical care that I am currently under but then I also came across Prolotherapy was really just wanting to get your take on it thank you in advance.

@@larryrobinson1399 I once saw Dr. Hauser (the doctor that did Rachael's curve correction and prolotherapy) once say in a video, that he was working on a theory that instability in the head and neck could possibly create a form of sleep apnea. I completely believe this is the kind I have.

Is DNRS program the same as Neurofeedback. I started neurofeedback for my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. It’s very expensive. I feel I’m feeling worse right now but hoping that as I go along I will feel better

Like I said in the video, what you eat wires your brain! I believe nutrition is a huge part of my healing and nervous system regulation. Supplements haven’t been a major factor for me and I don’t see a functional medicine doctor (not to say they aren’t helpful for some)!

Did your decompression surgery help at all? I read that most people woth chiati are asymptomatic, so how come a select few get symptoms. Is it even chiari?

It did not help me unfortunately. Honestly I think in most (if not all) cases surgery could be avoided. I also wonder if it has a huge inflammatory competition to it, because so many people see healing with diet and brain retraining.

Rachel, Did you ever go down the whole mold avoidance rabbit hole, CIRS testing, etc? I think that’s what going on with me but I find that whole paradigm to be very traumatic. I don’t have another place to live and I was living outside for a year and half. I’m finally back in my house due to binders and diet. Thanks for your comment! ❤️ I’m sorry to hear of all you’re going through. Actually I really didn’t go down the mold/CIRS rabbit hole, though I’m familiar with it. Personally I believe nervous system dysregulation is the root of CIRS, and while treatment protocols may help for some, I don’t believe it’s the most holistic way to approach healing (in most cases). Same goes for lyme disease. Brain retraining has been one of the most helpful things for me in regards to symptoms related to those things. I’ve seen many more full recovery stories through brain retraining / nervous system regulation than through lyme/mold/CIRS protocols.❤️ I think one of the issues is that people who are really sick are often in a very hyper-vigilant state, meaning they will react strongly to any sort of treatment/supplements/medications, etc.

The website seems like there’s a lot going on which can be a little overwhelming for someone like me who has never done any king of neural reprogramming. The membership fees scare because what if I need to re access a module or lesson or guided imagery later down the road. I’d have to keep paying for the membership or I’d lose the lesson right? I really want to just commit to one and start feeling better but confused with all the options
