My Honest Thoughts & Review of Black Ops 6 Zombies... (Early Gameplay) 

Limited self revives have always been a thing in zombies since Black Ops 1. Cold War devalued high round challenges due to having infinite Revives.

They need to remove the armor plates. It’s absolutely useless and only causes a distraction in an otherwise high intensity game mode. Just increase the durability of Jugg.

- Only start with pistol - Points per hit instead of per kill - Knuckle crack when PAPing - Remove armor plates That's all they need to give old zombies fans almost everything they want. Honestly mantling should be removed too as it gives you too many escape options against zombies, but its so integrated into the engine/game they probably realistically couldn't at this point.

The fact that zombies will be online only is stupid and unnecessary if someone is attempting to make it to round 100 and their Internet dies around round 99 that would be sad

If my internet lags and that affects hitreg in solo, imma be hella mad

Sadly as a hardcore zombies player Cold War was a disappointment to me. The biggest thing that killed it was how they changed the core progression of zombies. I feel like loadouts killed that progression. The starting pistol and having bad weapons in zombies was a core part that made the wonder weapons and good weapons that much more special. Now every weapon is OP and even starting with the pistol is too strong. I am still cautiously optimistic for the mode but I miss the old formula.

The fact zombies just became a "level up your guns to use WZ and Multiplayer" game mode, just saddens me and make me not excited for the game Saying this is "Cold War Zombies but better" does not give me anymore hope, what BO6 needed to be was LESS Cold War Loadouts, points per kill, field upgrades, armor plates all has to go, they make the game way too easy, I want zombie to be a survival mode, not a grindy kill as manay zombies until you get bored mode

Online only is due to the gobble gums. As soon as you use one, it will be removed from your inventory. In BO3, you could “dashboard” and keep all your gobble gums.

I miss point farming and maps that didn't force your hand into doing the story easter eggs. WAW-BO3 zombies was the best and I hope they will bring maps that will go based off of the themes and linear gameplay from those games once in a while.

Zombies just doesn’t feel like the zombies I grew up playing. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I didn’t enjoy Cold War zombies as much.

That requirement for internet is absolutely horse shit!

- The save & quit feature will be bugged at launch. - Bundles will infest the game. - Shotguns will be OP at launch. - The game will mainly be an AR game.

This actually looks decent.

The game requires internet at all times because they’re using streaming to help run the game. Apparently they needed more power than these consoles could provide, which seems pretty stupid honestly, to run this game at the fidelity they wanted. The problem is how will that affect your connection/ping if you have to stream parts of the game while playing online? My prediction is the game will run worse the slower your internet is, which just plain sucks.

Me and 3 of my friends only play zombies for the high rounds,,, and we never bothered about doing Easter eggs, and we like to search out hidden secrets within each zombie maps and do random stuff for the fun of it,,

The reason they require an internet connection is this game has some data streaming thing so they don't have to download all textures onto your console. They say it's to save on size but it's still a pretty big game with that reduction

I’m about to quit online games, They ain’t what they used to be.. Recently I’ve been playing offline psp games and the amount of creativity and passion for games from developers has declined exponentially, I can see the money at play and how investors just push their developers to make profit and the product has been declining in quality. I hope this inspires others to stop wasting money on trash product maybe things will change if we just stop buying.

Loadouts and rarities don't belong in RB zombies espec at beginning of game. Why cant make 2 difficulties to have one classic and casual to please all. So that's me back to old zombies again along with Double tap and better point system which should be a staple too. So frustrating to hear , wish the community made the content. 😔

if my hud is covered with +100 elimination after every zombie kill then im not playing it. I cant stand every little point pop up. It takes away from the experience and is very distracting.

The reason you need an Internet connection is because to keep the file sizes as small as possible they are streaming textures etc from their server, so without Internet connectivity it would look like dog shit.

I think that, based on what I read on the blog, this year is gonna be what Cold War wanted to be, a fully realized zombies experience. They are going out of the way to fix a lot of things that went wrong in Cold War: We finally have a set crew, reworked salvage, added gobblegums, reworked perk upgrades, improved the HUD, added back a lot of the challenge from older games, and more. To me when people say "It looks just like Cold War so it's bad" I'm like... Did you even read the blog? Did you watch the trailer? Also, of course a sequel is gonna look similar to it's predecesor! BO3 and BO4 looked pretty similar, but no one says a thing. I do however have some gripes with the game, obviously loadouts are still a thing which is not fully good, though it seems they are bringing back the armory/weapon kits, meaning the box and wallbuys might be useful again. As well as the point system from Cold War coming back presumably, but I can live with those two things. The new problems that I am really bummed about are the MW engine (tac sprint and armor plates suck, Cold War armor wasn't perfect, but it was way better than this), the dumb always online thing, and the HUD, while improved from previous games, still has some more work to do. Overall, I think this year will be the best we've seen since Cold War, and possibly even BO4, though we still need more information and of course playing the game to really know for sure.

It’s really a bummer to see the direction they are going in for the newer zombies games. They ruined the point system, they ruined PaP, they ruined perks, they ruined progression with loadouts, and they added crafting and armor which further ruined progression, now anyone can get to round 100 with ease. With the new save and rejoin feature nobody should have a problem getting to round 100 at some point

I can imagine the internet connection is to ensure everyone is playing the same game version to prevent glitches and bugs exploiting or breaking the game in an offline state. But also for the auto save feature in case of a disconnect or power outage or camo & xp tracking 😊

If i buy BO6 it's only for zombies because MP is ruined by the match making, cheaters and micro transactions. But i won't hold my breath, i wait until a few weeks after launch and when ppl are still positive about zombies i might buy it.

But they’re not promoting classic trayarch zombies. They’re promoting a Cold War 2 and as much as you think people liked the movement and armor system and loadout system a large majority of the zombie community hated it they’re changing the zombies we used to love to Cater to the warzone and multiplayer community like why do we need a mini map for zombies? Why would you have an armor system for zombies? Zombies isn’t what it used to be they’re taking everything that was loved about black ops 3 yes but they’re running away from the foundation of what zombies is. Starting with nothing and finishing with everything

I'm a big fan of the new save system. I live in an area where if it storms, the power is almost guaranteed to go out, so knowing that if I hear thunder I can simply save and quit until it blows over is really reassuring for high round / EE attempts.

The maps lack atmosphere it’s ok but it will never beat the zombie trilogy

YES! They’re finally going back to the old… nvmd. What a f*ckin’ let down, dude. I’ve been playing zombies since WAW and I now believe it will never be like the good old days again (WAW,BO1,BO2). I’ve been patiently waiting for the next Treyarch zombies game to release hoping they would take it back to its roots, but I was let down yet again. I think that’s it for me boys. I don’t think I have it in me to wait around for another 3 years or however long until the next Treyarch zombies game comes out in hopes that they would give us (the dedicated OG’s of zombies) what we really want. I’m 36 now and my free time is valuable to me more than it was in the beginning. Zombies was the last thing keeping me interested in the COD games. It sucks, man, cause I was really looking forward to this one. It is what it is, and I just have to accept that now. It was great while it lasted though and I still have DOOM: The Dark Ages to look forward to. I had shotty’s on my skull in BO2 zombies the last time I played. 😢

We need no load outs no tier to weapons so no blue or green guns and upgrading them that way and no armor and then zombies is so back

Don’t be worried about connection in zombies guys. Cold War was also online only for the most part. You had to be online to level up your account. Same goes for vanguard. The only reason MW3 has shit connection is because it’s open world with a couple dozen players who each have dozens of zombies spawned.

The main thing they need to do with zombies, is get rid of loadouts like in cold war. Spawn in with a pistol like zombies is meant to be. Make wall buys and box mean something again.

Zombies doesn’t have its own identity anymore. Trying to shoehorn zombies into Warzone was the dumbest thing they ever did. We’re never going to have the simple maps like Kino where you just play for fun, or epic maps like Origins anymore because it all has to tie into Warzone.

Online only zombies is a huge L. It’s infuriating honestly cause if this game is as good as bo3 or better (not likely) it means that some day I will never be able to play again when the servers get shut down. Other than that this mode looks pretty awesome, coming from a huge zombies bro

I dont mind cold war system being back in bo6 but they might have to remove stuff that us players dont like For example point system being 100 per kill instead of hitting and gain 10+

Good gameplay should always be prioritized over camo grinding.

I'm really happy about having only round based maps but I also wouldn't mind having onslaught as a challenge mode especially the one where there's no bubble you have to stay in and it's just constant fast waves of zombies. It's also just good for camos too.

A lot of those "features" are things that used to be a part of the game. Yet again they're taking things away and then bringing it back later and saying it's new, same old.

Armor fundamentally breaks a lot of zombies in these new games. Because of it they increase the amount of “ranged” zombies. Im sure in the later rounds like just in cold war the zombies will be able to 3 hit you making the armor more important than the actual perk juggernog. It needs to just be freaking removed at this point.

The required Internet has nothing to do with the save and quit feature it all has to do with the streaming textures Because that’s a thing apparently To save space gigabyte space on your console all, of the modes, including campaign, require Internet

Doesn’t matter if it’s online now anyway if you get disconnected while playing it’ll make. Temporary save so you can pick back up where you left off so the internet argument point is kinda null and void at this point dude. Plus it being online is what allows the save quit feature to begin with which I’d say is a nice welcome change in the eyes of most zombies players.

Please play more custom zombies on the second channel to build up the hype for this year!!

Its a common misunderstanding why CoD needs an active internet connection. Its actually a technical reason, CoD servers offload a lot of the tasks server side not end user side. If you tried to run CoD without a server it would take 10 times more data stored locally and you'd be pushing consoles way past what they are capable of computing CPU side. To run CoD locally would be a monster of a computer to handle all the tasks locally. If you want to test this yourself you can with another game. On PC you can emulate EFT with SPT Aki. You actually host a server locally on your machine to run the game, but be sure to have a pretty decent rig before trying it.

I think having Gobblegums return is a negative but I'm glad loadouts are coming back again.

I could’ve sworn self revived was always limited to 2 or 3 I remember playing solo and buying the quick revive machine and after a certain number of times the machine just gets disabled

I play offline games exclusively i need my game to still be there after i buy it 2 to 3 years after, if offline is not there for at least zombies hard pass, hope an update supports it in the future but offline never gets love 💔

I was hoping that they bring back outbreak alongside the round based, I thought it was a nice addition to Cold War and added some variety to zombies whenever I got bored of playing the same maps

Honestly. I’ve played CoD since CoD3. I’ve only ever played W@W zombies, so when you say plates, perks, gum balls, I have no idea what any of that is, which is why I continue to not play the mode

From what I see, Bo6 is what Bo5 should have been. Though, given the circumstances Bo5 was made in, its not a half bad game.

my one complaint about this game, is really a problem with modern cod. It just doesn't look like cod anymore. It looks like battlefield. So much weapon sway, super skinny weapons that don't look real in-hand, graphics that are trying too hard to look "realistic". Like the gameplay and info of everything sounds great. I just wish it looked like cod

This game will suck simply because it's made in the eyes of modern cod devs and Activision. These games are developed to drive actual cod fans away, and coddle the casual, non hardcore cod fan into buying skins that cost more then the game itself, even though it was made by A.I. in 8 seconds and on top of that it's in a game where you can only see your left hand while playing.... Again, this game is developed to frustrate you, as a cod fan, to the point that you quit playing, so they can sell more A.I. generated skins to non cod fans, and those cheeky fuks have the balls to call it "for player retention" Cod fans everywhere, don't buy this trash. Instead, go buy MWR on PC. It's on sale right now. There is a mod coming out for it soon. Welcome to essentially og mw2 remastered. A cod game developed to be fun like the good ol' days. I promise you it will be 100x better then every cod developed post blops 4 combined

The gameplay actually looks great so far the theme is freedom to the player and im absolutely all for it yes we will have to see how it turns out on release but more wins than losses in my opinion.

I love zombies. If zombies is good enough, I’d buy a cod game just for zombies. Black ops 6 zombies already looks good enough to buy just for that imo. I will be playing the other modes and I used to be more of multiplayer person but since Cold War I think I’ve been putting, more or less, even if not more time into zombies than multiplayer. I have a feeling I’ll be putting more time into zombies for sure this time around especially due to the cross progression because I think I’ll level up far faster in zombies than MP and there’s a camo grind and all for zombies as well. Lots of stuff to grind for in zombies

Nero, I would have to disagree with you on the catch. It makes sense as to why internet will be needed to save your zombies game as I’m sure Activision has developed the ability to allow this feature to work by having to save your game to the cloud and built an infrastructure within that. It is difficult to build an infrastructure that would allow saved games on the current platform that BO6 might be running and requires more money and maintenance.

If your internet goes out because you didn't pay your bill then that's 100% on you. Sure "life happens" but you have a month to pay most bills. Figure your shit out or don't prioritize video games.

Keep warzone elements out of zombies. Remove loadouts and armor and killstreaks. Give us the old point system back. Give us an offline mode. At the very least, the save state should be removed when you take a down or updated when you tske a down so you cant exploit the game by undoing your mistakes period.

So I'd just like to mention that there is code for the map avalon. Well Avalon is also an apparent warzone map, its outbreak themed meaning its returning even with code backing it up. Otherwise I'm hyped for this game.
