You’re gonna wanna WATCH UNTIL THE END!!! Guys, if I can do this, you can do ANYTHING. And there’s still more to do (I can never not be cleaning out my closet tbh) but what I accomplished in this video is colossal. Thank you for acknowledging how closet clean outs are not just about purging items you don’t need or want anymore. It’s not that simple. There is so much more. From selling online to donating to confronting clothing culture, all of these steps take effort and thank you for sharing your entire process !!!

I am so glad you addressed the topic of wastefulness in this industry and that you are being more aware and mindful about the choices you make. I think it's such an important issue that needs more attention in the world of fast fashion and influencers. Over the last few years, I too, have realized how much I have accumulated and it can become very, very daunting to clean, sort and minimize your life style so I totally relate to the 3 day clean up :)

My mom always gave our donations to women’s shelters. I’m not sure if they’re still an operating organisation but The Battered Women org would come pick up donated clothing and goods directly from our home. ❤️

Call your local Department of Human Services (DHS) if you have trouble finding a women's shelter. Many of these shelters are kept secret to protect the women from abusive situations; however, DHS often has a list of the shelters and can help you with the pertinent contact information without disclosing the location. Ask at local churches about how to donate to women in need. Many women's shelters are in regular contact with and receive funding from religious groups. Local churches can often give you information on how to make a donation, or will even accept and deliver the donations for the shelter themselves.

Making wise purchases was something I kept in mind ever since I started working. I had a huge closet clean out where I got rid of stuff I never wear and it was a really good feeling donating to Goodwill and the women's shelter in Houston. I've poshmarked a few things but I didn't find it very useful for me, buying off poshmark is nice tho!

It would have been cool if you did a giveaway of a few items to your followers! Another idea would be to ask your followers if they know of any actual families or people that would be happy to receive some items since shelters receive so much that they themselves end up throwing stuff out.

Hey Helen! You did a seriously amazing job with this! It looks anazing! If you do still need an assistant to help with round 2 haha I am a stylists assistant and have done closet clean outs and am super familiar with Poshmark! I also live in Hollywood so super close and think I am your same size if you didn’t want to take all the photos yourself haha :)

Last year, I prepped, photographed, measured, described, put in a spreadsheet everything I wanted to sell. It was a ton of work, then I had a computer disaster and lost everything. Having to duplicate all this work had been hanging over me like a dark shadow for a year, so I recently decided to pack it all up a send it to ThredUP, even though I think their payouts, and prices for buyers, are extremely unfair. No one takes donations where I live, San Rafael.

Hi, I watched your lake Powell video by mistake and noticed you guys must be unexperienced boaters because you weren’t wearing life jackets while wakeboarding WHY ??? Omg! Don’t ever do that my friends son drowned because he didn’t have a life jacket on after he fell and his body was found 2 days later . I’m an x lifeguard owned many boats and have been to Powell many times please be careful next time just because your young doesn’t mean you can’t drowned . Take care be safe Cathy
