New subscriber ! My fiancé loves plants and she has so many houseplants . So I’m here to learn more about houseplants.. blessings to you and your family and blessings to everyone in the chat and to your families as well
I love your collection of trailing plants. There are some of my favorites as well! One I didn’t see in there that you might like that I have and love is a million hearts plant. I got a little baby one in a 2 inch pot over the winter and it is growing and trailing so beautifully. I believe mine is a variegated version and it’s just tough and hardy and beautiful and a fast grower
Your trailing plants are extraordinary! 🌿♥️ poor baby Olive😕hope she heals quickly…sending good vibes her way!💕🥰I’m so glad to hear you compost your plants 🪴 I do as well and kinda felt bad-now I feel better, I’m not the only one!😄
Thanks so much for doing this video on the trailing plants. I enjoyed seeing everyone of them. I couldn’t help but notice how big your Tortum got though. Wow. 🌱💚🌱 I hope Olive is going to be ok. Poor little girl. She’s so sweet.
Your hair looks so very young r onand gorgeous ❤ you are growingy your so girlie! Loveeee sitting back and watching you do plant chores , it’s your voice - or whole vibe ugh cause it gives me all the relaxing feels ❤❤❤
I just started some marble queen cuttings on a pole! Can’t wait to see how big the leaves will get 😍 I’m so with you, they are incredibly underrated. I get they are common, but they are so chill and gorgeous.
I totally forgot how short your Wally grow plants were in comparison to now! Like omg!! Love it! And considering the light levels, they have all grown so much!
Fern!!! You're the main reason I got into houseplants! I just love your videos so much and I love how you and your plants are super down-to-earth and you show off your plants even when they're not perfect. Most of my plants aren't perfect and I love seeing that realness in a plan content creator!
Hi great idea garment rack. Thanks for sharing. Your plants are beautiful. Yes I burnt up some plants under the lamp because I had the lamp on too long. Live and learn.
Variegated Hoya heuschkeliana is def a favorite. I got a small rooted cutting from someone locally and within 6 months it put out a peduncle and bloomed! It has since put out multiple blooms and I can honestly say I have no words of wisdom for it. It sits under a cheap Amazon grow light for like 8 hours a day, no where near a window. I was shocked such a small Hoya would bloom. The blooms are very cute though and smell very buttery, like butterscotch!
I adore your plants! And what a beautiful hoya collection! What a great video! Get well soon, sweet Olive, kisses XX (and don´t worry about over- or underwatering....we all are experiencing it :) )
You've definitely stoked my hoya lu$t! Collected three in the past six months... And OMGOMGOMG you've definitely got the touch - fingers crossed my newbies will be half as gorgeous as yours in a year! 💚
Your mention of Cebu Blue being relatively common has me cracking up--ironically, where I live it's impossible to find a simple Jade Pothos. I just want a regular ol' green one, but it's the one variety that nobody here seems to sell--it's all the "rare" varieties, and the most common has circled around to being the most impossible to find! Beautiful collection, in any case, they're all lovely to see!
Loved this feature on your trailing plants. They’re my fav too. I like to stake some to grow upright but when they trail into a curtain of vines, ugh I love it 🥰
Than you for this video. I really learn a lot from you. Keep up the great work in posting! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I love the Cebu Blue Pothos. I currently on a hunt for them around my area and they seem to be all out. Too bad you are not in my area 😢
I LOVE trailing plants!! I started a lot of my collection off with babies/cuttings so the "trailing" plants that I got, weren't actually trailing to start off. I've finally reached the point in my planty collecting that I have trailing plants now and I absolutely love it! The vibe they give is my planty collection goal 😍 I have and love a string of turtles as well. Mine was just from cuttings that I bought and took a while to get going...I think I've finally figured her out now though...it doesn't like to dry out very much in my experience! I'm in the lower midwest of the US and have it about two feet from a western window and it doesn't ever get direct light and it is starting to do really well (new growth and getting larger, plumper leaves)! I actually just spray it every few days with water and give it a thorough watering probably every month and it seems happy. Sending good vibes and prayers to lil miss Olive!
I also love trailing plants. I recently got stick on clear shower shelves for my windows and it’s been amazing. I keep my smaller Hoya on them and it’s so cute seeing them start to trail. Also love your Hoya Serpens and Mathilde. They have been on my wishlist for so long and always love seeing yours!
Fern I love my sheperdii too!!! I'm so glad I'm not alone in admiring its strange beauty🥲I really love how funky it is! Thick wiry vines with slender dark waxy leaves shooting out every random way.... thats my type 😍
I have the same love for Hoyas. I watched a video years ago and they say for them to flower, they need to get morning sun light, east window, for at least 4 to 6 hours. 💚
Thank you for this wonderful plant tour I love love the Hoyas I have the hoya shepherdii and the blooms are really strong at night all Hoyas I love love and I am looking for the lineris for my collection❤
Hoping Olive feels better soon. I have both my green and outer variegated bella in pon and they are growing like weeds. Herch I also have in pon in a self watering pot and mine has bloomed 😊. Smells so good. Love all your trailing Hoyas.
I LOVE your micans so much. I got one for $4.99 in March- it has like 6 vines in it and isn't trailing but it has been pushing out new growth consistently since I got it, I can't wait til it's long enough to chop and prop for a nice thick pot!!
@@wildfern right! HEB (Texas grocery store) has awesome prices. I've gotten a $12 Monstera deliciosa, $5 micans and scindapsus pictus, and most recently a $12 Alocasia Black Stem that I'm OBSESSED with. It put out a massive leaf and has a cute 3-leaved baby too
Love love love your long weekend videos💚💚💚🪴🐾. Awww - I hope sweet little Olive🫒 starts to feel better soon!! Love my trailing Hoya Shepherdii - it bloomed for the first time this year! Same with my Hoya Krohniani Silver which has been blooming non-stop with as many as 10 blooms at a time. And the fragrant smell💟💟💟.
After purchasing my carnosa compacta last spring I noticed that Crystal star nursery was selling the “dark form” in the summer. I picked one up and honestly side by side I cannot tell the difference (but both are extremely slow growers for me). I think I’ll pot them up together here eventually like I did with my variegated Bella’s who are on the struggle bus! 😂💚 Great video, I’m def team trailing as well
I used to have a Lipstick vine that had deep burgundy "tubes", so dark and beautiful. The inner "lipstick" was bright cherry red. It grew like crazy and was a very profuse bloomer even though it wasn't in the best of light. I wish I remembered the name of it because I sure would love to have another.
Hi Fern, I bought a xerosicyos danguyi after seeing it in your channel. I love it! Mine shot up a huge amount of new growth this spring. It’s standing straight up (without a trellis) so eventually i suppose it will tumble over the side of the pot. Easy care, south facing window, like you say, care like a Hoya. I’ll have to look out for a Hoya shepherdii as I agree I like the long string bean look of the leaves. Thanks for the trailing plants video!
I loved this video!!! I've been watching for years, but I'm just gonna say it though, please please please, propagate your strings of things with the butterfly method. It's so so easy to get lush CARPETS of them, to create a full plant of your dreams. Just a hot tip. 🔥 I've been doing it for years. As long as you have experience with sphagnum, you can do the butterfly method!! I want your struggles to end girl! Please 😅
Will be sending love and prayers to you and Olive.. Our furbabies are just precious.. Look at how much your wally grow wall plants have grown! Have a fantastic week Fern.. Hoping it starts to warm up soon.. Still chilly here in Toronto. Love your tshirt. I just got a monkeytail cactus from CSN and I can't wait for it to be a pot of more then 1 😂. My hoya bella outer varigated has grown more then any other of my hoyas and its been blooming like crazy since January. 👏💚🐶🌿
The Jade Satin is a dream! I just recently learned that it exists, and I WANT it! Another one that I've been wanting for a long time, and stand a better chance of getting is xerosicyos danguyi.
I never have enjoyed cleaning my bathroom as much as I did watching this video. I thoroughly enjoyed it, Fern. Thank you, wonderful lady 😊 and oh, your trailing plants are absolute goals. I’m looking forward to the time that my Hoya linearis looks as cool and sexy as yours 🤩😁
I absolutely adore trailing plants! Someday i hope mine look as beautiful as yours 😍 Thank you for sharing your collection with us. I hope Olive gets better really soon 💕 Shes so cute 🥰 much love to both of you my friend. 😊
I have a shepherdii that has so many peduncles I can’t wait to see the blooms It’s tendrils are so wild too 😂 they shoot across all my plants and love to wrap around lamps
Just laid down in bed with a coffee and not feeling well at all, coming down with something. Also having a really rough time in general right now and this notification popping up just made my day, Fern 🤍 you're the best!
Love all the hanging plants! 🪴 Your heuschkeliana variegata is 🫠. You may try taking your string of 🐢 out of your cabinet. It should do better in drier air since it’s so succulent! And give lots of light! ☀️
Trailing plants are my favourites just love the look you have some great ones. I am quite new to indoor plants but already getting a good collection but Hoya Linearis is on my wish list.
Yeah good luck with that Hoya bella var - been 3 years and keeps turning into a disaster and I keep chopping and propping and saving it, only for the pattern to repeat... Love the trailing plant inspiration though 🥰
