My Hydrocephalus Story 

I’m almost 39 and haven’t had a revision since I was 12 or 13. We’re blessed!

Also, my shunt is also broken in multiple places in the tubing. My neuro said that some people actually outgrow the need, so it looks like that’s the case

I’m glad I’m not alone in this! I’m glad I have people like u to come to when life gets tough! Keep fighting! We got this! We’re in this fight together and nothing will stop us now!

So far in my life I have had 2shunt replacements after being diagnosed with hydrocephalus as a baby you are such a brave fighter and my mum would know the malfunctioning signs immediately and have me seen to asap as I’ve spent all my life with hospital stays and check ups best wishes to you stay strong I believe in you and the consultants and professionals are so brilliant these days god bless you brave lady 🤗🍀💪

I have a vp shunt .. places when I was 11. Now I’m 26, finally having complications ☹️ it’s a horrible waiting game .

Just had a revision done last week. I'm in recovery but my neck is acting up. Fingers crossed hope it isn't a complication from the surgery.

I have Mild Communicating Hydrocephalus from minor head injury I'm 35 now and has Shunt surgery in 1997.

I had hydrocephalus but not need vp shunt Medicine cured hydrocephalus

Me and you share the same experience, apart from the shunts being disconnected. mind faltered at 16 and I NEARLY DIED

My dad is patient of Gbm and he got a hydrocephalus and he has to keep vp shunt n hope he will fight for this Why ppl has to suffer so badly God bless everyone

I had/ have. Hydrocephalus and I have a VP shunt. I had to have revised 4 times. The doctors never said that I had problems with my spine. I'm just curious.
