I think this video shows more your ingenuity and intelligence, the process you have put in place and the absolute dedicated focus is paying off very well for you.
For bubble wrap, i found it more space savy and efficient to buy them in rolls and have them on rods sticking out of the walls under my packing boxes. This makes it to where you don't have to bend down as much. As far as your layout, it is supurb. Great job! I can only hope one day to reach that level.
Q & A questions related to the console partner: What's the process of consoles & assessories now that you partner with Sosa games? Do you recieve them, organise them into a box and then ship that out? What type of benifits do you get from this partnership? Everything from time saved, hassle, percentage of revenue, etc. Just curious of the partnership. Place looks great, keep it up!
I'd recommend putting bed risers on any of the folding tables that are being mostly used when standing up, it makes a huge difference not having to bend over the table for extended periods of time
Have you thought about documenting your entire process? The reason is that I want to implement the same philosophy in our IT storage space, which goes through pretty much the same process. It needs to go through a clockwise motion and we are currently spending too much time finding stuff. Thank you for taking to show this and wishing you all the best!
Personal Q: What brand are your glasses and how did you finalize on them? Glasses always give me a headache from the pressure but I think I’m just buying cheap ones. Professional Q: what margins do you target for your business generally? Both Q: what are the salaries of you and your employees? I think a financial review would be really fascinating for this type of business.
Love seeing the evolution of the space especially after being over a few times. As you know, I work full time and sell games part time. If you were in my shoes, how would you go about scaling up the part time business with time being as unfortunately as limited as it is? Keep it up, friend!
Caleb Fantastic Videos very indormative and i have caught myself saying jeez why havent i thought of that before! I have been watching renix pesale and your main channel phoenix resale for the last year and have caught up on all your videos this pst week. Truely inspiring content and made me make the plunge into reselling part time. Keep up the great work!
Card penny sleeves hold handheld games perfectly. Whether you send in to Amazon or have a store front. No stickers on labels, and technically it’s a bag. You can use that trick to bag after verifying tested/good battery. 🎉
@@isaacwidrick3065 nice! I use the Penney sleeves for everything except psp (too tight) but coin holder would be great to make bigger games stick out! 🫡🫡🫡
Replace the folding tables with proper Uline ones. You can buy cheap ones with shelves on the back and underneath. So much better use of your space and organizing so that items like your packing tools are organized at their station.
wow I like how everything turned out~lately I've been making more space to work on my resell side hustle really is a game changer to have more space to work. I think the work space can use a bit of wall décor I notice you started putting some near where the TV use to be maybe a little here and there would be nice to give your eyes a break from processing 👍
Awesome Layout! Was curious if you had any problems with selling games with xyab cases instead of the originals? Any returns/complaints? Is it possible to show what prices you’ve changed on one-up from the previous month?
Later on, when it's time to upgrade the tables, I would recommend getting like waist high workbenches with storage cabinets/drawers underneath. Doesn't even need to be workbenches... waist high tables are fine too but some under table storage would be convenient. As someone who is 6 feet tall, a table that sits less than 3 feet tall will come with more bending and leaning over than I would like. The back pain is more noticeable using those 30 inches or less tables I've noticed. Seriously a 2.5 ft tall table isn't really great for standing next to as a workstation area. That height of table is basically geared towards a sitting table only.
How do you combat the buyer return fraud? Maybe that's another reason why you stopped selling consoles. I've had two 100-200 dollar FBA items return to me with a switcharoo. Complete switch and the one returned was destroyed. Even though I showed Amazon the disparity between serial numbers, they literally ignored the specific proof. They said they work on "offers" and since they returned the same model, the'yve done nothing wrong to get a reimbursement. Complete BS
How many hours a day do you work on the online reselling business vs OneUp vs RU-vid (both channels)? Would love for you to talk about how you manage your time with some many business going on at once! Also, submitted a batch of games to you at the end of last month and the process was incredible. Thank you!
Can you make 1 gane go through the full process from start to finish. I wanna see literally the box coming in opening, inspecting, disc surface, prep, bagged listed and shipped. I wanna see how the listing part works for Amazon vs eBay.
Question for the Q&A (well 3 in one!): Aside from the obvious reach, why did you choose Amazon as the storefront for your business? Is it well suited to selling used and retro games? And finally do you think the industry needs a dedicated marketplace specific to retro games like we already have for trading cards in TCGPlayer(US) / Cardmarket(EU)?
Are you planning to do an update on oneup, how it's doing economy-wise? For example how it's doing now that it's free instead of a sub model, and a catch-up on total cost to maybe how much it costs per month to keep it updated/bug fixed etc.
Question: When you hit a business size where you say “big enough” do you know yet how you’ll curb further growth? Loved this video, thoroughly enjoy watching you grow this (and any future) business, you definitely inspire me! 😀👍📺🐕
Hi Caleb - I want to know how you balance being scrappy with the iterated boxes with the value of your time. $10 for a tray doesn't sound a lot of you have to use your mental energy solving that problem rather than other more strategic problems in the business
I have seen and enjoyed every video of yours. How do you keep from being bored seeing the same games coming in all the time? It is much different than being out and finding the weird, rare and unusual items in the wild.
I notice your appreciation for Colin & Samir Do you have intentions that RU-vid is a commercial for your reselling business or an additional revenue for yourself? Would you ever be interested in being a host/entertainer more than a reseller?
My #1 question is what do you think about the hype of whatnot and other live auction platforms ( not ebay and Amazon) How does that affect the over all price changes for video games and what that does to pricecharting???
You seem to have a lot of stock sat in your basement. Do you think it would be beneficial to hire more staff. I imagine in a few months you’ll have far too much for the size of your basement?
As a fellow Amazon seller. I’m curious to hear how many loose DS and GBA games are lost in the Amazon warehouse. I probably do 5% of what you guys do but it seems like they lose 1/10 loose games I send in for FBA even when I bag them. Then they need impossible to get invoices to get reimbursed …
As an Amazon seller on a much much smaller level than you. How do you deal with discrepancies on an FBA shipment? Also, what are your thoughts on New, Renewed, and used being combined into one listing and possibly sharing the BB?
Hello! When you get collectables game or other items, do you ever try to hold on to them or sell them right away to keep the flow going, I kind of have a hard time once I get a good item, even though it is meant to be sold. Thank you for your vids!~
Why do you hold so much inventory on hand rather then send more in? Or what is the ratio of inventory that you send in during a week Versus what you keep on hand versus what you receive in a week
I'm married and have a full time job. How do I break out of only doing ebay in my free time? Which sometimes feels very little. Do I have the capacity to do amazon if I 10-15 hours a week
Oh he's having a kid and wants to overload so he can take a breather when the kid is born. Biggest reason why he expanded out, so he can strictly separate work and life. This floor is deicated to work, main level of house is dedicated to being a dad.
How did you get past the awkwardness and self-conciousness of scanning games in Game Stores and Pawn Shops? For some reason I don't mind thrift stores and garage sales, but I feel weird standing there scanning.
Question for Q&A: On Amazon, it seems the pinnacle of vg reselling is through the Amazon Renewed listings for most used games. Do you have any plan to apply for that, or is the $50k invoice requirement make it out of reach? I have been seeing some of the non-renewed listings get taken down and results in me having stranded inventory, but never renewed.
@@legoboy-ox2kx Amazon seems very picky for me, so I’d be surprised if quick flip invoices worked since it’s not an authorized distributor. I’ve been seeing some sellers with renewed listings that only have a couple ratings, so I’m not sure how that they managed that either. Seems like a messed up system in a way.
Are you throwing away all the original game cases? Or is it just the poor condition ones? I'd imagine the case condition needs to be extremely good for "renewed" status, so I understand the need to replace a lot of them... but it would still be a shame if completely functional game cases are going to the landfill. I'm not sure how many you are replacing because if we're talking hundreds or even thousands per week then it's obviously not a easy task to deal with that and throwing them away may be the easiest solution. Unless we know someone interested in buying hundreds of cases every single week. 😂
12:30 Sosa Games, that names sounds very very familiar. I think this is one of my repeat buyers for certain titles through ebay. Its almost like a bot its so quick to purchase certain titles as soon as they are listed within their threshold. I know of some other sellers that also get pretty frequent orders from them as well, im fairly certain its the same person I think its Sosa-Games on ebay or something to that degree.
I have a question for you next Q&A episode how many people have you blocked from buying from you I'm having a bunch of buyers cancel orders after giving discounts.
So i actually have a question about sourcing. I part time resell books and video games but i am from a country in Europe in which we don't have big conglomerates like Gamestop and Game exchange to source some games. How would you approach this problem? Where would you try to source from in a smaller country?
For Q&A: I'm 23 and about to graduate college with a degree in HR. I often feel stressed about what I’m going to do with my life after graduation. Could you share your personal experience on how you found your current path and dealt with the stresses you experienced?
You paid an institution to lefty brain wash you into becoming a worker bee. You might be too far gone I'm 36 and retired at 27 I have zero education. I didn't need to pay people to test if I can retain useless info.
I opened a gamestore 4 months ago and now opening a online store and preparing my office space. Thanks for some good ideas :) My question 1 - Do you have a back up plan, if for some reason you were unable to sell on Amazon Question 2 - What is your end goal with what you are doing. Congratulations on where you have got too, been watching a long time since the pawn shop days. Pre-Gamecube Gambit ✌️
