Wow you have done a lot since the last video and looks great too. I have to give my mum (rip) a shout out too as she was the one that kicked me off on a direction of model trains as she bought me my first set a traing/hornby set here which was just a circle of track and had a little green 0-4-0 loco called connie and a light blue insulfish van and a grey open wagon and a grey guards van. So thats where it all started. Thanks again for the awesome videos you put on youtube for us all to watch and enjoy. Cheers from John in Australia

Perfect balance of operation and scenery equals fun for a long time. Well done small layouts can provide just as much satisfaction as a large one and you're not bogged down in the construction. Hey Mike and Doug that's a lovely little work of art! A nice story to about your Dad.I remember my Dad holding me in his arms watching the trains from a old railway bridge. It was the main line from Norwich to London and when we waved the trains would sound their horns..some 50 years later and if im out that way i often stop on the same bridge.Happy times.

Obviously your videos are becoming more professional with experience, but I still say don’t worry about editing out all the uncoupling and ‘bad signal man ‘ that’s part of what make your channel unique and so watchable. Your fiddle yard is big enough to become another layout. Have you thought of joining two layouts wuth each becomibg the fiddle yard for the other? You can do this with anything from two boxfile layouts to two rooms full of track. Or even with an oval divided by a backscene.

Don't bother about cutting the interventions out, I have never seen a model railway with a 100% success rate with shunting operations. The success rate usually decreases relative to the viewer count.

@@BudgetModelRailways brilliant the layout has come on great love it :). , talking of the lost soilders, at one of my EH history reenactmens ( I was with my saxon group for 1066) and a German ww2 group were doing there display and their commentator said ' there's a officer with a map , the most dangerous thing on the battle field " there was a massive roar of laughter from the punters at the show, lol

Two separate, random, mid video adverts, just horrible, really distracting. I understand you can opt out of these; please do so if you can. I have learnt a lot from your videos, I would like to learn more but horrible ads. Nice layout, just about to build my first one.

Sorry about the ads but they fund the channel. It was a longer video than we usually make , hence the extra videos. They haven't stopped it being one of our fastest watched videos views wise. Good luck with the layout

@@BudgetModelRailwaysI totally understand why, still don't like it. Love the channel. I think RU-vid need to rethink how they do this. It has stopped me dead on other videos, I just close them down. Yours, I persevered as the content is so good.

You can always skip most of them. At the end of the day RU-vid is a business which allows people to share their content for free, they have to make money somewhere?! Glad you like the content
