Exactly! An open world haddonfield where you can drive, stalk, invade houses, and kill your prey before the night’s over! I would also have James Jude Cortney do the mocap for Michael.
@@willlastnameguy8329 absolutely false, you can get into a car, stalk your victims from a car, follow them home with John Carpenter music playing over the scene. You reach the house and you survey it like Hitman before you execute your plan. It wouldn’t just be standing still; like DBD.
I'd love to see a Halloween game featuring a free-roaming Silent Hill-esque Haddonfield that you can explore as you hunt for - and get stalked by - Michael Myers.
Absolutely agree on Danielle Harris. She's already said she wants to fight "Uncle Michael" again. And with the movie series "ending", this would be a great way for her to do that.
I find it beyond weird how the creators of mortal kombat was denied Myers by the ip holder but yet they create a 16bit game which doesn't fit the character at all just let Myers fight scorpion damn it
A single player game where you start off as a helpless victim. You could jump various time period’s showcasing your character gradually growing into a hardened survivor like Laurie Strode in Halloween 2018. One you reach the end your character’s journey is fully gained and equipped to face Micheal last time fully equipped and ready to take him down.
Imagine a Alien: Isolation style Nightmare on Elm Street game where you play someone who’s stuck in the dream world and trying to avoid both Freddy Krueger and also any of his monster forms or minions. Have also a secondary mode where you play Freddy and plan elaborate traps and locations for the teen survivors during daytime before eventually people go to sleep and enter the Dream world whether it be during nighttime or they get tired during the day. You could even play different versions of Freddy like any of the variants of the original series continuity, New Nightmare Freddy, or remake Freddy. And also a Until Dawn or The Quarry or Telltale style game would also be a good idea too. Perhaps the Dreamworld in a Isolation type game could also have some open ended areas or semi open world with locations houses and whatnot that reflect the real world and have Nightmarish monsters and entities that serve Freddy roaming around and are able to be dispatched unlike him who would probably be invincible.
I second this, I want to see the skins and looks of Freddy to be the following 1- 1984 Freddy 2- Freddy's Revenge 3- Dream Warriors 4- Dream Master/Freddy's Nightmares 5- Dream Child 6- Freddy's Dead 7- NN Freddy 8- Freddy vs Jason BTW best part is, you could mishmash the looks to the Freddy you want to go for
They should do it in GTA style and the option of exploring Haddonfield, interacting with its residents, witnessing Michael carrying out his kills and trying not to get caught by him. Or even trying to alter the course of the films.
that sounds really bad and no one is gonna want to play that kind of trash.. GTA is dead.. thats why no one wants to play those dumb games anymore.. leave the ideas to the true pros... 🤣🤣🤣
I totally agree that the asymmetrical horror game genre has been done to death. I’d love to play a Halloween game based on the structure of Alien Isolation and Smith’s Grove Sanitarium would make a great setting to explore.
I want a Friday the 13th game similar to Hitman where youre Jason stalking camp counselors in various locations from the movies. You try to kill them without alerting the others, set traps, hide bodies or string them up or throw them threw windows to cause characters to panic.
Love the Story mode idea. I got Nemesis from Res Evil flashbacks. For multiplayer what if we limited it a bit 1 v 5? If Michael sees you he's invulnerable while you're in his field of view. Can only attack him if he's somehow surprised. You can team up but that'll mean you're easier to find. Like in Halloween Kills that'll work for a bit till Michael rages and is really OP for a bit, hopefully you can get away. It'll be random too so no indication when it'll happen. Also zero time limits. The game ends when Michael has killed everyone or he has been stopped.
The mix and match of survivors adjacent to John or older Laurie needs to happen, and having Danielle Harris back in some form is icing on the cake. All this sounds great on paper with the mixing of eras of Myers. I hope this works out, please dont drop the ball.
I hope it’s an Alien Isolation type of game with a co-op multiplayer mode with 4 other friends, Outlast Trials style where you’re all avoiding an AI Myers that hunts you guys down within different maps with different objectives
That would make a good ANOES game too. Basically a better version of Dream Warriors (no offense but imo dream warriors wasn’t as big as it was hyped up to me and was flawed) but yeah an alien isolation Freddy game would be great.
Puppet Combo has a game called Babysitter Bloodbath that used to be a Halloween fan game and there’s several unreleased versions and sequels that can be found online as well. Great to play!
With John Carpenter being involved in the Halloween game that's said to recreate the OG film and let us play as iconic characters, that says to me that that game will be a single player survival horror game (maybe with co-op). Possibly in the vein of the RE 2 Remake police station, with Michael being used much like Mr. X. And the OTHER game will surely be an asymmetrical multiplayer game much like Friday The 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Evil Dead: The Game. This is PERFECT imo. It's the best of both worlds
Update: I wasn't aware that the RetroRealms game was revealed already! Looks sick. Hopefully this still means the second game is a single player, survival horror
When I first started watching the video my initial reaction was do Alien Isolation style. You can do that template with (insert movie slayer villian here), seriously. Freddy where you're only safe from death while awake, but he's still fucking with you. Leatherface, Jason, Ash. How nobody has thought of this is mind boggling. But no, it's all gotta be online multi-player
A whole Nightmare game set in the dream world that’s like Alien Isolation would make sense. And have other enemies such as The Face Dogs from 2, The Wheel Chair from 3 and Baby Stroller from 5, and other monsters and entities that are minions of Freddy, and also Freddy can take different monster forms himself like TV Freddy, Worm Freddy, Puppet Freddy, Motor Cycle Freddy etc. and also Krueger would be the only invincible enemy but still can be stunned or incapacitated temporarily but doesn’t take any damage except for maybe Boss battles. The Boiler Room, The Asylum of a hundred Maniacs, The Upside down staircase labyrinth from Dream Child, The Ancient Temple from New Nightmare, The Cathedral from Dream Master, so many locations to put into the dream world, and the dream world can be so big and open ended that can be both exciting to explore while also still being a prison as you’re basically stuck while you’re asleep, and can’t just wake up easily as Freddy doesn’t let you and your dream avatar has to wait it out until the night is over and survive until morning. So many possibilities.
Surprised you didn't go the anthology route where it you could still do the multi-player or single player thing but each map is telling a different halloween event. I know it's a long shot idea since Michael is basically the marketing tool for the game but it could be interesting to see the anthology idea actually worked on instead of abandoned with 3 considering Carpenter is helping with the game.
Busts Rhymes, or bust 😂 But seriously, it’s sounds a lot like the board game except with more to do. You do make a good point, Isolation equals greater fear.“Till Dawn” or “The Quarry” maybe that style would fit a “Scream” video game.
My idea: Drunk Beat em Up style game for Halloween 3. You place as Tom Atkins fighting robots, wizards, fucking and ripping the masks off children before it's too late. You get power ups from different types of beers you find
Just a correction: Boss Team Games published Evil Dead the Game. Saber interactive actually developed the game. But I'm hoping the Halloween game will not be a asymmetrical multi-player. Really kinda sick of those games.
I feel like the 2D games are an attempt to make up for the games we wish we got as kids. I seen some amazing pixel art concept pieces for a 80's arcade beat em up style They Live game and it looked glorious. Worth googling :)
I have a few ideas for several series (all single player): Halloween: a short form horror title set in one location with a branching story focus Nightmare on Elm Street: literally just rip off the good silent hill games (2, 3, origins) Friday the 13: resident evil 3, branching paths, chase centric action-horror
I would like a Halloween game in the style of Ghost Master by Sick Puppies, birds eye view sims like puzzle game where you have to guide Michael through various murder sprees.
My idea for a Halloween game is where you play as Micheal in either third person or first person (kinda like Skyrim) and it takes place in Halloween 2018 universe and you find ways to trap and kill your prey
The assym. picture painted here is actually the mechanics of the Halloween board game from a few years back but with digital skins. So we already have one of those. It would be nice to get something different. I would buy an Alien Isolation-style game for Halloween in a heartbeat.
Stealth. Both as the victim and as Michael. Notice how in the first movie he isolates most of his victims? They could have a game where you play as a babysitter and have to avoid Michael, but when you progress far enough you can play it from Michael 's Pov. Beating the game lets you play as other characters, or you get different endings based on how many friends you save. Think something like Dead Rising 1.
Definitely in the style of alien isolation. The xenomorph and MM are similar. A Halloween game could actually be intense if it was done like alien isolation.
Personally; I’m absolutely excited for the 16 bit platformer! It reminds me of Splatterhouse; which I also love as well! Edit: I also love Asymmetrical games when they’re actually done right; like F13 imo; personally I’m down for either an Asymmetrical game or singleplayer. All I’m happy about is that we’re ACTUALLY getting another official Halloween game after 40 years. Either way, this is a win and I’m not complaining. Edit Edit: I would absolutely HATE an Until Dawn styled or FNAF styled game. I would legit be pissed and not buy it. I would be more hyped for the 16 bit game; lol
Imagine an Alien Isolation style game where you play through a story relating to a horror ip. You know, one with a story, that's actually a horror game
For bonus level or most likely DLC gimmick, either Myers or a bounty hunter for the level in a movie studio lot filming a sci-fi horror movie taking place in space based on our speculations of Halloween in Space
The 2d game is actually 1 of 3 games, including Michael. Boss Team Games are working on 2 different games, which means one will likely be an asymmetrical multiplayer game & the other a story driven game where you can go through different scenes & whatever else they come up with.
Outlast, alan wake, soma ish type Halloween game or something whichever would work also digging the silent hill approach kinda game with the shape of course stalking you throughout the town that someone else brought up in the comments
I hope to hell the other game isn't asymmetrical multiplayer. There's just too many of them at this point, they almost always fail or are halted by legal issues, and Michael is already in Dead By Daylight so it would just feel redundant. Please, for the love of God, do something different and original. Carpenter fucking loves video games, he wanted to make a Dead Space movie! Please do something with that!
My idea for a Halloween video game doesn't have Michael Myers, But it's more of a survival horror game, you play a kid who's out trick or treating when the apocalypse happens, you have to fight Ghosts, zombies and other monsters using stuff like salt, iron and silver. But that's just my idea. 😁
I feel as though the game would be single player and I feel as though it should be like how older resident evil games were particularly resident evil 3 how nemesis will just pop in wherever and it was unscripted and you just had to fight wherever it was or run away I think that would be the best experience for this game
My idea for a halloween game would be something like the quarry where you play multiple characters and they can die at any moment based on your choices.
Hmm, not sure for my ideas for a Halloween game, but I had an idea for a persona/RPG game where the characters use/transform into horror inspired icons spanning through the genres of horror. So from slashers to classics to lovecraftian. Hell, I have rpg maker but never thought of making the game
I'm still miffed about Evil Dead. I enjoyed having an asymmetrical horror game where the survivors are actually fun and get to kick ass, and I enjoyed the strategic elements of playing Demon. Still, I would have preferred a singleplayer action game where you play as Ash, in the vein of Dead Space or the recent Resident Evils.
Are we going to get an asymmetrical multi-player game or a walking simulator? Honestly I'm fine with either but still feel like a definitive halloween game is a hit man type game
If they do go the Asymmetrical route I just want actual single player mode, Online with bots for both killer/survivors, and for the love of god have a proper tutorial! That was my main gripe for Texas Chainsaw Massacre was the Tutorials were just basic videos that barely helped.
I LOVE SHANTAE! Those games are so much fun! That being said, I just don't want ANOTHER multiplayer game. I HATE when horror games are restricted to multiplayer.
If Harris is not involved in this game, that's another massive L! She's been trying so hard to return to the series, whenever a new Halloween project is in the works. Game or not. Fans even had been doing petitions and asking many higher ups to hire her. But they never listen. Here's another great opportunity for her. Danielle Harris deserves more attention to the series too.
I’m kind of shocked how much backlash this is getting from the fan base. I think this is a huge win for the IP. We get a versus evil dead game too?! are you haters are killing me
Whatever it is, it should be stealth-based as Myers. Hanging from the rafters, hiding in the shadows and having quiet footsteps. Since Carpenter is involved, it will most likely be based around the original movie and Green Trilogy. Since they're all connected. Won't be any Cult of Thorn, or Jamie. I promise you, that. They should put different degrees of kills, based on how patient you are like 'Manhunt.' Myers should use anything he can find as a weapon, even impaling people with a shotgun. Not to mention environmental kills. This is going to be survival horror one way or another, either asymmetrical or single-player. A single-player offering would be more refreshing. Alternating between characters for various missions. Semi-open maps with various pathways to take. I guess we'll see. After Boss Games abandoned Evil Dead, I am hesitant to spend money on this.
