Some people HAD money and now they have a VR SIM racing motion cockpit... Lol❤ I also think the tracking fidelity or the rift CV 1 was underrated. I got far less occlusion with it (because I had 4 cameras) than I do with my current 2 version 1.0 lighthouses. Especially if your play space is small and has a lot of stuff in it like mine. I probably should get some more lighthouses! But I'd need all version 2.0 ones to run more than 2.
My Oculus quest 2 is in super rough shape but it still works, I bought it with my pandemic check during COVID-19 when I was homeless, in a shelter now lol I still use it almost daily. Edit: it's not able to charge any more because a Temu c cord shorted out and melted my charging port
@@Psychedelic-City actually I used the passthrough mode to smack homeless meth heads who would try to be sneaky and steal my backpack, soon as I hear em nearby I double tap the side and I pretend to still be playing beat saber lolol *Whack* *whack* *WHACK* "OH I'm sorry I didn't see you there, I was in VR" "No worry's brah" Roflmao
The full shabang? Yeah that's gonna cost you a lot. But me, I bought the original Oculus Rift and it only cost me a few hundred. If you've already got a decent PC then it's really not that expensive. There's also the Quest which isn't that expensive. But if you want the best headset, with the best controllers, a haptic suit, multiple trackers, etc. Yeah it's gonna cost a lot.
If you plan on doing mostly PCVR a good budget option is the Quest 2. If you want to do mostly stand-alone (no computer) you should get either the Quest 2 or Quest 3.
Are you considering getting a beyond any time soon? I've heard lots of good things and mine is on the way rn, supposed to beat the Pimax 8kx in general VR usage according to reviews.
I still use my OG Vive. Improvements haven't been significant enough for me to upgrade. Also the rift had no controller tracking on launch. Just an Xbox controller. Though I never did like the touchpads on the Vive either.
Me personally, I would recommend a quest two to start on vr. Is cheaper and if you don’t like it, you don’t lose so much money, I know some people that like the idea of vr but can’t be on the headset for more than 20 minutes… so take that as you will
Why did the video cut off when you were talking about the last VR so you can feel someone touching you if someone else has it too? How do they all work like do you hook it up to a console or is there games & what not built into the head set? Have you ever tryed the PS4 VR? That’s a good one too for games & watching movies on it. I’ve gotten it to hook up to my pc so I can watch movies on it.
Damn, my first was the first psvr, into the rift S, to Quest 2, to niw the overhyped quest 3. I can't wait to eventually yoink a vive or something one day
i've been working 30+ hrs a week ever since VR came out and I still can't afford even one headset. I was a Half Life fan my whole life until their most recent game is on a platform I can't afford :(
I have both the vive pro eye and quest pro, and the quest pro is soooo much better. If you have the chance upgrade to it. Its like a game changer. Attach a tracker to it and use it with your base stations.
How much was your daily driver setup? I’m looking into going all in on vr and am looking at the bigscreen beyond currently, but the lack of eye tracking bothers me. I’m planning on building lucid vr gloves, looks like a fun afternoon project.
I wish the pro eye wouldn't cost over a thousand euros tbh. I just want an hmd with eye tracking that doesn't cost as much as my whole fbt setup and vr headset combined.
Ok at the end what was that extra at the private area is that for what I thank it is for or am I just dirty minded. But I think it is for what I think it is for because u ordered the pleasure thing for vr
