This is the equivalent to The Today Show on NBC in the US. They were the first to request an interview and treated me well opposed to the assholes at NBC in New York and ABC's Nightline. Fuck them.
Best of luck to you. I am a skydiver, but had a nasty ATV accident where I was completely paralyzed. I am recovering and all limbs are working. The video brought me back to when I was waiting for the ambulance. Lets hope advances are made in spinal cord injuries. Blue skies
Wow, she was an absolutely awful interviewer, zero compassion, empathy or engagement. 100% dependant on a script instead of asking you, genuinely, how you are. I'm so sorry for what happened to you. I've sky dived back in 2011, I can't imagine how much strength it took you to keep trying to free up some of the shute but appreciate that your survival instincts must have been to the max. I hope that time has treated you kindly & that you're supported.
saw both videos , the one of the accident and the one now. i am glad you are a well enough that you could deal with the f...press. i watched the 1.video very quiet, reminded me of my own skydiving accident ...i came off better than you (only sacrum, L1 and L2 were crashed to powder) they could fix me up ...but i remember the shock and the panic ...wish you all the best!!!!
Watching the fall video I felt how your mother must have felt, totally panicked and willing you to keep breathing and live. I don't know if your injuries are permanent or if there is a chance of recovery, the presenter's blasé comment about you being quadriplegic made me angry, to be frank. But I hope you have been able to find joy in life either way, you seem like a good person and I wish you hadn't been hurt.
