My iPhone Has Touch Disease :( 

Wait until it starts randomly opening aps or acting like its getting random touch inputs

its a conspiracy to make you purchase a new iphone

This is ridiculous Apple should show their customers they care I mean look at Samsung they at least are trying to fix the problem but Apple want's you to buy an iPhone 7 and just ignores the problem. This is how apple will lost customers and will deter android users to switch. I mean not everyone has 649 dollars to use on another phone a lot of people had to work very hard to buy their iPhone 6 and yet Apple thinks people can just buy another one I'm very ashamed in Apple and hope they make a fix soon

i just got the damn touch disease today

I have an iPhone 6 Plus. I've had it for 2 years. My problem started about 2 weeks ago with my screen not responding. After a few days of that happening on and off, I then started seeing the greyish/white bar at the top. Up until 3 days ago, I was still able to use the phone, just more like 75% of the time. About 3 days ago, I totally lost the ability to use my phone at all. And what's crazy, is that I have watched it randomly call numbers in my contacts, started typing nonsense texts to contacts (yikes!), and opens apps and websites I've gone on. This is freaking me out, as I do not need wacky texts or phone calls going to people who aren't close friends! I can't even turn the phone off, just put it to sleep. I searched for some help online and have ordered some tools so I can DIY the fix. I can't get another upgrade through ATT until June, and I can't afford to get a new phone right now. I, too, am I huge Apple person, and this really ticks me off.

i'm dealing with the exact same problem for over a month and a half. Been trying every single store that can fix this, but unfortunately, no one can, they say...... so disappointing if you've paid that much money....

We fix this problem all day every day by replacing the touch ics on the logic board, and adding our custom mod---a metal "futureproof" shield that reduces the chance that the phone will get touch disease again. It is a shame to think that people are just throwing these phones away. :(

Took me 30 minutes to write this comment since my touchscreen stopped working 11 times and I have to keep rebooting! I am SO frustrated and infuriated with Apple for taking ZERO accointability on this! I've talked to them on the phone four times and went into the Apple Store twice and they act like they don't know about it. And want to charge me $375 to get a new phone that could have the same problem! This is THEIR issue! Please keep us updated if you hear anything about a fix/replacement offer. Apple refuses to say anything is a hardware issue. They always blame the iOS and it not being updated.

My phone cracked alot because of I how was trying to bend it to get it to work. It is so annoying that I can't use my iphone. Taking it all apart would just make it worse for me. I've tried everything and my dad said he's not going to get it fixed again. I'm so frustrated and it just don't make any sense. They really need to do something about this because I will report a problem.🙄🙄

my iphone 6+ is dead now for 5 months (bought it just when it was released) and well as u say its completely useless and hope Apple gets what they deserve with the class action lawsuit just filled 5 days ago... its not the way you treat customers, and worst loyal ones..

This happened to me two years ago and it would also randomly open apps I never open and make calls I never made. (For example, it ended up calling my best friend and the voicemail I ended up leaving her was me cussing out my phone until I could finally exit out) When I went to the apple store, they ended up replacing my phone for free.

It looks like you just would have to open the phone and disconnect the display connectors and reconnect it. It appears like they may be loose.

What about starting a class action lawsuit, just because I'm going to get a new phone doesn't mean that I am not going to still use my iPhone 6 Plus for something else.

My phone sometimes doesn't respond to any touch. But when I lock it and turn it back on, the screen responds. [Iphone 6 (Gold)] Is this touch disease?

READ THIS IF YOU HAVE TOUVH DISEASE: you don't have to buy a new phone. The easy way is to press your home and lock button as you were going to screenshot, hold it like that for 10 seconds, and your phone should automatically restart. ( DO IT WHEN SCREEN IS ON NOT OFF)

Well when I had iPhone 6 Plus and got touch disease... I used to bang the screen and somehow it used to start working for some time...it was just temporary and does not fix it in any way...

Idk if you will still have your phone when and if you read this then the caused from the ip chip coming loose from the logic board, there is a home fix that I have done which is you have to take your screen off and take the logic board out and on the back of the logic board there is a sticky black cover covering the ip chip and you have to take a small piece of folded electrical tape and put it on top of the ip chip and then put the cover back down, put the logic board back in your phone and then putting your phone back together, if you have any questions then ask me

I've experienced this issue with my iPhone SE. The screen will lock up, but the buttons still work. Usually if I lock it and then unlock with Touch ID it will work again.

You should've just put a case on and don't drop it to prevent touch disease. My brother has an iPhone 6 but still didn't get touch disease because he had a case on

My phone has it:(( but it doesn't have the bar at the top and works sometimes. It nearly always works when I press down on the corner but I mean that's a bit annoying ahah!

I switched from iPhone 6plus to Note 5 best decision ever I always used Apple from iPhone 4, but no more get outside of the box see what else is out there.

I keep getting these big grey boxes that show the command but the command I’m instructing (getting around app to app) won’t function. It talks the talk but won’t walk the walk, type-of-thing. I’m on a 6 and refuse to upgrade until Apple comes out with something that isn’t automatically a pain in the ass.

Had the same issue just last week, from a refurbished 6 plus. Apparently, apple is not acknowledging their faulty design. Hmmm maybe it's time to switch to samsung?

Mine is like whenever I pause any song or anything, the song will start playing or the volume will be high by its own. And something it will exit some apps by its own also. Which is so annoying.☹️

I have the touch disease on my iPhone 6 Plus and so I went into a store called computer monkey and they said that you have to back up your iCloud or iTunes to get it to stop freezing

I've had this problem on this 6 Plus for about 3 weeks now, at first I thought is was a virus?(even tho I know most Apple products don't get viruses), my Neice who worked at an Apple Store for a few years told me it was touch disease, very frustrating. I will say I have been using my earbuds and Siri to do the few things it will let me do like play music and answer calls or ask Siri to call or text. I wanted to wait for the 8 but I may go ahead and get the 7, I will check into the program to get a new iPhone every year...I will not pay the $150 that Apple wants you to pay to get it fixed. I called a local repair shop that Apple list on the site and the guy told me they would have to send it off for 14 days! And I've heard that it may or may not fix the problem 😖. Like you I am glad I not the only one and also believe Apple (like Samsung) should just replace all problem phones with at least iPhone 6s Plus 's..

My problem is when the touchscreen wont work the gray bar wont appear usually i turn it off then its back to normal,but still annoying.

The 6plus is my first and last Apple product I bought my phone for over a grand and now its a piece of crap. Tried to have it fixed twice the digitizer board has a couple hundred bucks because it happened twice. now I still have the same issue of ghosting and freezing passcode can't text phone is erratic. Apple should recall or I will never ever buy an Apple product.

I am facing exactly the same issue. Bought a second hand iphone 6 plus for my bluetooth hearing aids and this issue is frustrating. I went to to get it checked with local repair guys and have been told that folder (screen) needs to be changed and I am like no way! Can you please please please help me?

My screen just keeps glitching;( like first it works and then all of a sudden, it just stops. And I have to restart it over and over again and sometimes I don’t click anything and my phone just clicks something I didn’t want it to. It’s very annoying and I had this phone for about 2 years and my dad had this phone so maybe 4 or 3 Years. I do not know what to do. But I will try to rebut it.

For it doesn’t it do the flicking on the top but the it doesn’t respond my touch .. and it’s randomly pressing apps and deleting.. is that a hack ?

This happend to me 2weeks ago and i did everything possible to fix it !strangely now it's not acting like a ghost on my iPhone !but I did noticed that It doesn't react whenever I want to click on my ig or fb or whatsapp so I uninstalled all those apps n downloaded it again but still the same ! Whenever i touch notifications on fb or ig it doesnt responds

Thanks for the video, my phone is having this problem right now. Of course Verizon is making me jump through all of the usual "reset the phone" hoops. The Verizon tech appeared to have never heard of this problem before. Hopefully they will send me a replacement? At what cost? Like you I am a loyal Apple customer, I have however noticed that quality under the current leadership has been questionable. I will let you know how much Verizon charges me to replace my phone....

I'm having the same problem....I think I might go back to flip phone because I've had a shit load of issues with main stream android phones as well. Never have problems from the OG Flips phone besides maybe a snap in half after about 6 years lol

I was really disappointed at apple when my Iphone 6+ got the touch disease and apple refused to repair it. Then they wanted me to pay close to 400 dollars just to get another refurbished phone that might have the same problem. Its their fault. Not mine!

I’m gravely disappointed with apple just learning about this from buying a phone 2nd hand and it looked great but I never thought to try the touch until I went into Verizon to set up the phone. Who would think that a perfect mint looking powered phone had a bad touch disease now I’m stuck w this piece of crap cause I’m learning apple washes their hands of it and tells you to buy the 7.
