It worked!!!! After about 30 seconds. So my Xs max was dead and I had been charging it for over 30 min and NOTHING. Thanks guys. I’m annoyed though this is a brand new phone 😡.

It didn' t work the first four times, but the volume up, volume down, and hold side button actually worked the 5th time. I suggest to keep trying and it just might work like mine did. Panic is now over:)

The part of this video that saved me was the instruction to hold the button down for up to 2 minutes. Thanks so much. Others have said to hold the button, but I never had held it for more than 10 seconds.
