WHAT IS BIG AMBITIONS?
Big Ambitions is a roleplaying business simulator situated in the open-world city of New York. You start the game as a young kid surviving in the big apple. You have big ambitions for money and success, but you're starting with absolutely nothing.
In Big Ambitions, you control a single person in the middle of the bustling metropolis of New York City. Your goal is to achieve financial success in various ways. Starting at the bottom flipping burgers or collecting garbage to eventually owning and running big businesses and real estate throughout the city.
As you progress, you always need to make sure that you're getting enough sleep, keeping up with your health, and making sure your happiness is sufficient. Increasing your capital can be trickier than you think. As you will learn, money can't buy time.

I kind of fell love with having headhunters. So much I made a separate HQ for them lol. No more paying thousands for recruiting and you can pretty much get the traits you want with them for your workers. The more skill your headhunter has the more things you can eliminate. And you can recruit maxed out workers, so no endlessly training them. I saw that they automatically replace the worker you lose as well but I haven't tried that feature yet. Thank you for showing how to do the blueprints. I have to try that

The $7 (per hour) doesn’t make me any money. The interior design import gets me a store immediately when I need it and gets it making money days earlier than I could. Plus it goes with my story.

@@NickKrige Investment. But interior designers are vultures. I did grimmace when he was using their design for the hairdresser. Not because he did it, but the fact I know designers whom will just put in things and expensive things just for the pure fun of it. Rather than if you did it yourself, you sort of cut-out or replace expensive stuff for cheaper but "looks the same" or has "the same use".

Ok first of all, I think I might have commented three or four times max on a RU-vid video (I consume a lot of RU-vid, I even got Premium, but never comment). This series, or maybe all your videos I don’t know, is amazingly well put together. All the cuts, explanations, the voice tone, times and everything is SPOT ON. I think I started watching this yesterday and this is what the eighth video of the series already?! I obviously subscribed to your channel. Another thing that that amuses me is that you are exactly the perfect type of person for an alpha. Some of the ideas and suggestions for the developers are just spot on. Greetings from Chile!

Hey Charlie! i have a 100% skilled logistics manager and 2 100% trained drivers and together they can hadle upto 16 locations... So i think with that van if your employees are fully trained you could handle upto 4 locations if you don't want to buy the big truck right now.

Subscribed cause of this series! Really enjoying it! But I have to say, the ice cream stand is supposed to be the other way, the costumers are supposed to see the ice cream and the sign on the ice cream thingy.

I agree, but I have it facing so that my employees can access it. Customers don’t interact with it. The workers do. If I faced it the other way, they’d have to walk around the other side of counter to do it

Regarding the cabinet coloring, it would also be nice if you could 'eyedropper' -- pick up the color on one, and paint it all over the others like how you apply walls.

50:05 as a person who works behind the counter. Turn that ice cream counter around. You need to present the goods to the customers. They need to see it. And behind the counter is a little desk where you can serve the product. Haven't you ever been in a grocery store? Or a big supermarket?

As a person playing a video game, I have the ice cream machine turned how it needs to be turned for my employees to be able to interact with it. If I turn it around, they ll have to go around the counter to get it, dramatically slowing down service. I don’t like it either. Blame dev, not me

I think it would be better if you remove the cabinet besides the walkway into the kitchen and replace it with the drink fridge. It would be next to the ice cream fridge.

My names are very unimaginative.. Hugs Donuts (GD) or Hug Donuts (LM). So I use the same name with a two letter abbreviation. LM, MH, MT. HK, GD. If i open a second of the same type in the same neighborhood, it would be 'Hugs Donuts (GD2)'. As I said.. I'm a fairly boring and unimaginative business man.

If you open a clothing store "Hugh's" would be fitting (Hugh Scevella (think I am spelling his name correctly)) If you think about it most names are not imaginative on our high street. But the best one, it's sadly gone now, was a dry cleaners called "Impressed". Sadly, they got run out of our high street and taken to the cleaners. (oh dear)

To save money on health insurance, you can move up to 10 ppl to gold, since you pay for 10 min, and it will reduce the amount of bronze, which you pay Per Person. Alternatively, if allowed, move anybody wanting any insurance to gold and have other manager for employees not wanting insurance. Just thoughts...

I just learned the value of a headhunter in this game. You can filter out people wanting health insurance and never have to deal with it!!! And get people that are already fully trained. And they will find endless candidates! Please say you move onto these later in your play through

Just be aware of the tradeoffs in hiring those who are fully trained. They'll cost you more than the health insurance will, compared to getting somebody with very little training, and letting HR gradually train them up over time (in which they will likely ask for health insurance). Everything is balanced

The ice cream cabinet looks like it needs to be rotated °180, because the text "ice cream" is supposed to face the customers. And so the banner on top that says the price, looks like that one also needs to be rotated as well. Or maybe once the cabinet is rotated the banner will follow automatically.

It’s the design of the unit. Can only be accessed from one side. I have it so my staff can access it. Issue is known, has been brought up, and will be patched later to allow access from both sides.

Awesome surprise a two-fer today! Can I get some likes for Charlie Scissorhands as name of the barber shop. Suggestion for the atmosphere look up Tune up the manly salon. They have an awesome vibe and serve free beer. Could you use those nice wooden bars and make a small counter with cheapest beer in town as your marketing schtick? 😂

I found it easier to just give everyone gold health insurance, rather than trying to balance bronze-silver-gold employees, and I managed to negotiate down to $16.67 per employee, so it wasn’t that bad!

It's like you went down my high street with the names for hairdressers. We have "Best Man Clips", "The Barberman" and then "Sweeney Todds" with a tailor/fixer place (shoes,clothes etc)/keycutter being "Dappermans". A breakfast place with is very close to "Char" is "Chinos" (as the guy who made it was Paul Chino who has since been bought out and left but it's still called Chinos.). I wonder if you can make a breakfast place here with English Breakfasts and Pancakes etc?

It just hit me, "Chino" is also a style of trouser ("pants" in US) and the guy was called Paul Chino (his actual name) which is a brand of Chinos (Paul Smith's). I don't think it's him though. LOL

@@RFB722 Us Brits shorten everything. So the shop was called "The Dappermans" but was shortened as everyone called in "Dappermans" anyway. It's like we have a little corner shop (before you get to the main high street) back 30 years ago it was called "Dillion and his supermarket wares", it became known as "Dillions" and was a meeting point. The man who owned it did shorten it to "Dillions" but soon passed away and now it's a Costcutter (a chain here). A corner shop being an off-licence, I think Americans call these Liquor stores? I think. It sells snacks, frozen foods and beer mostly. You can get tabacco also if you ask for it.

Charlie FINALLY stops for a traffic light - and it's green ! (For all the attention you give colors here, that seems a blindspot...?) - try playing and recording and speaking at the same time. It’s harder than you think. - I’ve cream is the correct orientation for my employees to interact with it. I don’t like it either, but if I want them to use it without having to walk all the way around the counter to do so, that’s where it goes. - white floors make it easier to see the dirt? Not harder, because I’m not going to be using these mops forever. It brightens the room too. - WASD is an option if you enable controller controls. I prefer mouse. - Never tried. Not all that big of a deal for me, as once they are set in place they are pretty forgettable anyways.

You make a habit of running red lights, so I thought it funny when you stopped (to comment) BY CHANCE at a green one. Understood on Ice Cream: it's the model that's backwards, not your placement. I have seen (here) dirt show white; my white-floor, game-vs-RL comment was (as alwys always) meant a "joke". My WASD question was wondering if I could play, with my gimpy left hand - sounds like "maybe"? Lastly, if you CAN rename employees, you might put "Uncle Ed" in the barber shop ... and mostly... Cheers !

No I don’t. It has to be accessible by employees, not customers. I don’t design it this way, I just play by the rules. If I dion’t want employees to have to walk around the country to interact with it, it’s facing the way it needs to.

@@sponsors_not_included It's already something known for next update. It wasn't built to be positioned as I am. It's meant for employee interaction behind a counter. Not every ice cream place shows off the ice cream like I am in this design - like for example dairy queen doesn't usually - but I like it when they do, like my favorite small ones. :)

not done with the video but if 10 is the minimum, one has 3, and the other has 14 employees, you should move 4 over to the one who has 3 and you would actually save money

167,000 for installation is probably the biggest rip off in the game. My little coffee shop I tried to get them to copy was 29,000 for design and 130,000 for installation. Its outrageous

Went to a men's grooming club today called Hammer and Nails Men's Grooming Club. Amazing experience. They have several locations across the U.S. Truly a place for a man to get pampered. The location here in Cincinnati has a bourbon and cigar bar. It's really a top shelf experience. I got the premium haircut and premium beard grooming. The total cost was $175, but it was completely worth it. Men, you deserve to pamper just as much as the women do.
