This is my first of many hopefully so constructive criticism is appreciated. I finally got around to ls swapping my rare crew cab K2500 here's how I did it.
Love the swap 👍 got a ?? For u ...I got a 99 Chevy k3500 with a 7.4 got a 2004 escalade with 6.0 want to install on my 99 can I use same harness from my 99 ???
Man thats a beautiful truck. Love your drive and ambition so positive. Im wanting to swap the 5.7 in my 2000 obs k2500 for a 5.3 which 6.0 would be ideal but a built 5.3 should be just fine.. my concern is a proper transmission. 4L80 rebuilt or could i throw in anything else?
I’m doing a swap this December in my k1500 crew cab, the 350 spider injectors are starting to go out so I rather swap the engine rather than the injectors. I ls swapped my 79 elco myself so I doubt it’ll be too hard. I didn’t know these crew cabs weighed 6k lol no wonder I’ve been averaging 12 mpg. How’s your mpg now with that 6.0?
Mine has a lift kit and big wheels so it may be a little heavier than a stock one for that reason but also the 2500 have bigger heavier axles, more weight. Mpg I’m on even bigger wheels now so I was getting around 8-9 I think now I’m sure it maybe worse
@@WoodenWheels_ ah I see well I also have a 6 inch lift by fabtech install with 18 inch rims on 33 mud terrains but my axel is the lighter 10 bought rear. I would’ve thought your mileage would be better after the swap
Sorry I wish I could tell u they were some cheap truck headers i found on marketplace but there’s plenty room for whatever truck headers the problem is the 4x4 front axle shaft
@@WoodenWheels_ ok i will be looking for it… my 99 lowered burb gettin a 5.3ls dropped in(almost done) and i beeen worried bout smog n referee shit post that info so i can knw if i gotta dirty smog all the time or go legit amd whats best… thanks bro
Darius Dunn all the emission crap from the nbs trucks is about the same as yours I literally kept everything in place except the rear o2 sensors. You can keep the purge can pcv egr etc from the 5.3 if it’s a 99-06. You’ll be fine
