If I want to add scent right before I put my line in the water would you suggest skipping the slamola. Do you think it would create a weird mix of scent? I bought some slamola and can’t tell what it’s suppose to smell like. I’ve had great luck using R fly(black licorice) on corn for Kokanee. Also works great for big trout on flies.
Hey, yeah you can add scent to it right before and skip what ever step you like! I think there are many great combinations you could try this one in particular worked great for me! Give it a shot only reason I like to brine mine over night so the scent stays in the corn longer in the water it absorbs the brine over night. That’s awesome bro, I will have to give the balcony licorice a try!
@@walkingonwaterfishing it’s kind of hard to find they only sell it at Black Sheep and the General Store in Spokane. It’s a true licorice smell unlike anise, which has a mild hint of licorice. Both are good but I’ve used R fly more. Plus is not messy it’s a spray.
Forsure haha I doubt it works any better than regular anise I just like it plus it’s locally made. Some of the other anise scents smell pretty close but others don’t have enough of a licorice scent for me
