My pet peeve will be some kpop fans "preach" that idols are humans and they can make mistakes when it's about their favorites only but they become hypocrites with other groups and keep dragging them

I know some of us don't understand Korean but I hate seeing the vlive chat filled with "speak English"

1.Bandwagons (hating and stanning) make me want to snap kneecaps 2. People telling idols to lose weight and then when they get too skinny they tell them to gain weight. 😤 3. Fake woke fans that act like they know everything and are the wokest people on the planet 4. Over-sexualizing. It’s gross, you’ll never get to sit eh nasty with your faves. Keep your nasty fantasies to yourself. 5. Babying idols too much. There’s a point when it’s kinda stupid and people need to stop 6. Stan twitter in general. The only good thing about stan twitter is the memes

- kpop stans who lack so much respect for all idols and can throw hate on them so easily for nothing. they’ll drag them down just to say how superior their fave is, but really all idols work insanely hard, can’t we just respect all of them for that? - kpop stans who think they’re superior because they stan "underrated" groups or bias "underrated" members. these are the same people who refuse to stan popular groups, maybe they’re just too special lol. point is, appreciate ALL idols!

And my other pet peeve will be people thinking they are intellectuals if they like a certain song which is mostly hated or have mixed opinions.

I feel all of these, but one that really irritated me if the asian fetish assumption. I remember my freshman year of high school the popular guys forced this one guy who was asian to ask me to homecoming as a prank. Luckily I knew it was a prank and called them out, and honestly now I think it's kinda sad they put all that effort into planning that out while I was just minding my own damn business and just enjoying the music I like.

I have a pet peeve: When people are constantly saying that if you have done a good high note than ur a good singer. it’s like THERE ARE MANY OTHER QUALITIES THAT MAKE YOU A GOOD SINGER!!!! If they happen to read an English comment and respond back or if they started speaking it unprovoked, that's fine. But I hate when the artist starts speaking English just to appease the fans. 😑😑 It's so awkward and they are usually not comfortable.

If I don't like a song or performance it doesn't mean I am not a fan of the group anymore. Since someone (idk remember who but it was a kpop youtuber so it might've been you) pointed this out it has been a pet peeve of mine: 6 member groups who have parts in their choreography where one member is just completely behind another so that there's symmetry. I hate that because it feels like they're hiding a member who's probably dancing greatly but she just isn't seen in those parts

1. Being hated on for stating an opinion or observation. I was told by a toxic Orbit (orbits aren't all bad but these ones were coming for my throat) to go to a funeral because I said that in my opinion someone was acting disrespectfully. 2. Possessive fans. No, you aren't going to marry Jungkook nor will he probably ever meet you personally so stop acting as if no one else on the planet is allowed to know him. He isn't yours so act like a person with a functioning brain. 3. Hypocrisy. Jesus Christ, if fans only knew how to not trifle and to apologize when they do something wrong we'd be in fine shape. But they don't. I saw a member of my ult group get "cancelled" and dragged to every circle of hell and back because he had dreads by but I saw little to no pushback when another idol wore dreads only like 2 or 3 months after that. If you're going to call out, educate or "cancel" an idol for wearing dreads do it with every idol and not just someone you dislike. 4. Calling Pnation, JYP or Konnect (and other companies) the best kpop companies. Everyone seems to think that PNation is the saving grace of kpop but so far there haven't been any comebacks for any of its artists. JYP overworks TWICE and only cared when shit hit the fan super bad with Mina. And Konnect seems well and good so far but we haven't gotten anything other than Daniel. 5. Constantly discrediting a groups success because your fave is underrated. Stop hating on BTS or Blackpink just because x group from x company doesn't have as many views and they're "more talented". Let BTS and Blackpink be famous worldwide without making you, your faves or your fandom look bad because you're upset.

I think one of my top pet peeves in kpop is when a member of a group leaves or a group disbands and the fans first reaction is “join p-nation!” or “psy adopt them!!” Yes - he did sign with Hyuna and Edawn who were forced out of their company but that doesn’t mean you treat pnation like a possible safe place for disbanded groups and idols. I just kind of find and immature and ridiculous.

to elaborate on the physical appearance thing, i think it's more of just asian culture. appearances matter to me, probably too much, but i can understand it. often times i don't even notice i'm scrutinizing a person's appearance until someone tells me. for me it's not about criticizing though. it's kind of just an automatic thing. i judge my own body as well, and that is criticizing, but it's not like that when i'm looking at other people. if i think about it, it might be just curiosity. like, hey, how tall are you? that's not necessarily a bad thing to ask. but in this case it's, hey, have you had plastic surgery? it's not as serious of a topic in korea as it is in america. a whole lot of people get something done and it's not really a thing to shun people for. of course, when it comes to celebrities, that's a different story. anyway i feel like i wrote a lot of useless stuff but basically the asian culture (as an umbrella term) tends to focus on appearance and looking good, making a good impression on others a lot.

for the english version, my thing would have to be the english rap of whistle by bp 🤧 I think it sounds odd, I much prefer the korean version; but I loooove red velvets bad boy english version.

Totally agree with all these. My main peeve is always this: what I call the kpop slavery paradox. Most fans will hate on entertainment companies for mistreating and dehumanizing kpop artists, yet if they see these same artists struggling on stage, they basically call them lazy unless they perform until they pass out. How can you pretend you want these artists to be treated like humans, but then demand they perform like machines?

I hate when in unpopular kpop videos they put as opinions 'i don't like this idol because' i just don't understand it, are you sharing your opinion or you want to convince people that this idol is spoiled or a brat, or disrespectful? It's not necessary to do that. The worst thing is that they act as if they knew this idol, as if they know their personalities. No, you don't. And maybe I don't know them either, but at least I don't say in a video, where a lot of people can see and complain, that they are so rude, spoiled or whatever. That's gross.

Mine might be actually unpopular, but my pet peeve is excessive streaming. I get streaming for your fave when the song first comes out, a couple times a day, but when you've got multiple devices and you're doing it for hours, that doesnt make you special. It makes it look like you don't have a life. Especially when stan Twitter is on your ass, guilt tripping you to do it a thousand times a day.

My cousin that hates kpop whenever she sees an asian man (Chinese japanese korean etc) she asks me if i like him, or when we see those languages she asks me to translate. Like its getting annoying really
