You’re right on the Joey masks. Once they were made by anyone but him they looked like Halloween stores doing a mask called “Heavy Metal Drummer”

imo Micks mask just has been perfect since vol 3. it´s so badass and with his big stature on stage he comes across like a freaking monster. now since he had this design for so long i don´t think they could change it all that much without it coming across too weird. sure, they could experiment with the finish, but the general design is just too good and at this point iconic.

So weird, everyone can have their own lists ofcourse. But Joey's AHIG masks are actually some of my all time favourite Slipknot masks.

I dig Jay's new mask. I love the ghastly look of it as well as the sadness in the eyes.

I was surprised he disliked the joey mask. I personally think it was his best mask just because of the detail and eeriness of it.

One of my only disagreements with the mask is on Jim’s mask, I personally like the fact his beard coming out imo

that clip of the new guy getting decked by Sid had me in stitches I had to pause the video I was laughing too hard

Funny enough I think my favorite Corey masks are the ones you dislike the most

Was expecting to disagree with the list but I actually agree with most of your picks. The only thing I disagree with is your Chris pick, my least favorite is the spit it out version even though I don't think he's ever really had a bad mask. Besides that great video as always!

I would've loved all of Craig's mask if he only made the head look more tighter, use thinner nails, and reused the same zipper he used for Iowa

I think for the most part the masks have all been pretty sweet, but some just don’t feel like a Slipknot mask. The self titled and Iowa masks were so strong and that’s just made some of the newer ones feel weaker or more forced. I really don’t like the mirror clown. Feels like something you could go pick up when Spirit Halloween is putting the last bits on clearance. It’s hard to explain but the more current costumes and masks just feel to well made if that makes sense. I miss that raw hand made and chaotic quality. That said, I know every band evolves and with it goes their style.

I'm almost opposite to how AJ feels about certain masks: Mick's ones are some of my favourites because he inspired me to pick up guitar again and I like his aesthetic, whereas I absolutely hate the look of the TTE Clown mask. That variation is ugly in a bad way, at least for me. But hey, it's cool to have opposing opinions on matters like mask preferences, we all have different reasons for liking/disliking certain masks. :)

Another list video, hell yeah. There isn't any content you make that I dislike honestly, but this is a really great video. I can understand your picks. But my personal favorite of Paul is the Vol.3. The one with the white speckles on it. And I love Joey's S/T and Iowa masks, but I also love the AHIG. With that said, we all have our own favorites and that is cool. I agree with this list for the most part, I mainly disagree with Jim. You should do more critical style videos like this one because personally I love your critical side, and could you do a favorite Slipknot masks list in the fashion of this list, where you list each members best mask?

Sid- WANYK. I liked his Animatronic version but the mask wasn't my favorite concept. But his costume or overall look is GREAT. Joey- Don't have one TBH. I honestly think his AHIG is my fav. Paul- His cleaner pig mask. I actually think Iowa's my shit though Chris- his E.D. mask. Same as yours. (Think you can get the joke there lol) Craig- WANYK. UFO neck bro. Jim- His newer mask with his short hair. With his long hair it just does it for me. Clown- His WANYK premier. I like his Red variant Mick- WANYK again. Sorry but he looks like he crawled outta Jason X lol Corey- His AHIG. I like it when it's in certain settings but it feels over used. But tied with Bubble Boy too. Jay- .5 OG. His new one is my fav by far tho. V-Man- premier WANYK. I like his white variants but not his og Michael- Premier. Done. The rest of them works for me. Overall I love the music from WANYK but some of the masks just blew it. Kinda similar to AHIG but I like those masks more but some tracks on there like the title track aren't my top favs. Again, great video AJ. As always I hate AJ Goode (I think I got your name right there lol Idk. I watched back to the future too much)

I would say .5 Craig is my favorite. You may think it’s a bowling ball but it almost looks like an executioner with some armored helmet. And the nails look more strategically placed and none of them are sagging weird.

I came into this thinking that I would disagree with you on Clown's masks but I agree with you. Granted a few of the .5 masks were some of my all time favorites of his, there were a ton that missed the mark totally.

I agree with everything, I did like later ahig Joeys a bit better but then they as u said had the bigger open mouths where u could see joeys mouth which I didn’t like. Great video man, I’ve been binging all ur stuff lately and I love it, keep it up man!

So as you can see from my PFP I have an unpopular opinion about the Joey AHIG mask,😂 but for me personally I really didn’t like the Corey .5 mask (pre neck surgery) they just didn’t do it for me. As for Clown’s WANK (bad acronym but you can get what I’m saying) I really did like the ones he wore on their latest tour the liquid metal with the purple looked badass to me along with a smaller mouth and more sinister smile, honestly in my top 4 of his and for Jim him growing out his hair for the last tour really did something for his current mask, I dig it. But I agree with the majority of the list. Awesome stuff AJ🤘🏼🤘🏼

Never really paid attention to Michael Pfaff since he came in during the time where I didn't really like Slipknot as much anymore. However checked out their newest video Yen and boy do I love his entire Jester design. It's so good.

my opinion for my least favorite masks are SID WANYK it looks like his face so in some shots he doesn't look like he's wearing a mask at all but i like the idea of an animotion mask. JOEY (R.I.P.) AHIG i don't like the staples on the mouth and not a fan of the stitching and i don't like the cracks or spider web design i can't tell if he was going for that look. PAUL (R.I.P.) vol 3 i don't like the bullet in the mask and i hate the cosmic paint job i think it looks goofy and i don't like the grammy version that doesn't fit on his face. but the sculpt looks cool . CHRIS self titled spit it out mask i just don't like the eye's on the mask it looks kinda silly and i don't like how square it looks in some shots ( i personally like the anime style mask he has). JIM .5 mask i don't like how he cut the bottom of the mask off for his beard. CRAIG vol3 it looks so goofy and stupid in my opinion it kinda looks like pantyhose with nails in them in particular the Houdini mansion photoshoot. CLOWN .5 there are so many .5 clowns out there that are just blank masks like no clown design on them at all. MICK any mask after vol 3 they all have the same design on them aside from.5. COREY WANYK debut mask looked way to goofy with the cheeks but the other variants are awesome. JAY WANYK red and black tribal mask with the polynesian marks on the side. VMAN WANYK the white version with red colored on it looks silly but i like the sculpt. NEW GUY all of them i can't tell any of them apart and i'm not a fan of his mask to begin with.

You should rank Chris' masks like you did with Corey's but based on how floppy the nose of each one is

Michael Pfaff was behind the mask from the very beginning. He is the person that came up with the mask. It is a sculpt of his head turned inside out and i think that concept is cool as shit

agreed with everything except for Pauls mask. really liked the blankness of the Vol.3 Paul and i think the crack on the face/mouth nails were supposed to be the only thing visible on purpose. other than that i can completely agree though, hope slipknot members get a chance to check this out and get some fan opinions
