I honestly do respect Jay a lot. He took a role that not many could fulfil and he did it -in my opinion, in such a loving and respectful way. A beastly drummer. Joey is the absolute reason why I play drums today, and I looked up to him more than anyone as a kid (SlipKnot) as a whole because they cracked the world with those early albums...but I take my hat off to Jay for stepping in and doing the damn thing. After years of grinding on RU-vid, you finally after collecting replicas. You finally had Members of your childhood band that you put your heart into the accuracy and culture, visit your domain and even this one he brung his own masks the real deal, and give a intense history lesson that geeks like me and others wanted for ages. Beautiful.
Why would Slipknot fire this dude? He is awesome! And seems to still be 100% dedicated to the Band and pushing it forward. Well I am just left to believe that Slipknot has peaked 10 years ago

Joey was such a great loss but Jay is so Slipknot, the way he is with his masks and how he paints them for certain shows and his dedication to the masks and the band. Seems like a really great dude too 🤟

I’m bummed that he’s no longer with the band. I really did warm up to him and thought he was a decent replacement for Joey. But regardless of his departure. It’s so cool to see Jay and hear him talk about his masks. If I had to pick my favourite Jay Weinberg mask, I’d probably choose his WANYK mask, because I love how it almost resembles Paul’s mask in a way even if it wasn’t intended on Jay’s part, and the slipknot pentagram on the head is a nice touch too. I love the other masks but I’d say Jay’s WANYK mask is my favourite. Such a shame he’s no longer part of Slipknot now, but for whatever it’s worth, I thought he was a great drummer for the band.
i agree. its dope to just let them talk, and Jay just came and dropped solid content and history, he seems like a person that enjoys talking about this stuff and ya just let him go off and sit back..But that Sid guy... you gotta go punch for punch with that fuckin guy it seems, like Sid seems like someone whos involvement and energy is very much based on whats around him, he seemed like the type you want to bounce shit off back and forth and just see the goofball in him. Bro i think if AJ could get Clown in there we would get like the a fun ton of Slipknot lore and history. I know people keep saying get Corey in there..I say try to get Clown.
The fact that Jay was just sitting exactly where Joey's masks are , it made me so feel happy, like Joey himself gave his place to Jay!!! I would love to see Jay pay a tribute somehow to Joey.

Having slipknot tattoos and spending thousands on merch. Then actually being able to interview them an also build rapport/relationships with the band is crazy. Because that type of commitment could’ve gone so differently lol 😅 respect.

I love these little interviews between you and your idles. I especially enjoy the fact that you listen and don’t talk too much or talk over people like so many interviews I’ve seen. It really allows the person being interviewed gather and put forth thoughts that are matured and not off the cuff.

I hadn't really listened to the band since Iowa. For whatever reason, I got curious about the progression of the band as the newest album came out. As a kid in the late 90's, you didn't really have access to any info on the masks. It was a complete mystery. I am so glad to have stumbled on your channel. The last few months I have spent SO MUCH time watching your stuff. I have really found a love for this band that had went dormant for 20 years, thanks to your channel. It is so cool to see Jay on the channel. I have really enjoyed his role in the band, considering Joey was always my favorite. My wife's favorite band is the Springsteen & the E Street Band and we've seen his dad play several times. I was too young to get a chance see the band when I was into them, but seeing these videos has convinced me to take the first opportunity I get. Thanks for the love and work you put into this channel!
The second mask is my top 3 for sure, fucking amazing design, I also love how the mouth is fully closed. The symmetry, clean yet worn n scuffed look and the facial square facial features, looks abso amazing. ( Jay is also the one of the best things that happened to slipknot, he saved them, a decendant worthy of joey. (Irrelevant of the masks obvs))
