As an Indian I really love watching you enjoy chai! ❤️ I have been watching you for more than a year and just wanted to let you know that you have such a wholesome personality! Wishing you the best Sissel 🌻💕💌
Hi Sissel! I’m a 17 year old from the Uk, and I just wanted to say thank you. While I am swarmed in exams, stress (let alone learning to drive), and preparation for university, which will likely increase in the near future, I find that your vlogs provide me with a calming space to just hit the stop button on everything else and relax. Thank you for that again. I wanted to comment on this vlog specifically because when you mentioned about learning to drive with a manual car, I found that immensely relatable. I find my anxiety at a high whenever I have to focus on changing the gears as opposed to what is in front of me and it makes me feel bad about myself when I can’t do it. You talking about your experience made me realise I’m not the only one… I have a manual driving lesson on Tuesday after not having one for a month and I just know that I’ll find myself rewatching this vlog before that happens to stop and calm myself down. I really hope to try an automatic in the future- like you do too- to stop the anxiety though. So although I may be an unexpected target audience for you, I find your emotional relatability is so comforting for me, especially when my life gets crazy. You’re going to be an amazing mother and I hope the driving lessons you wish to take go well too. Thank you again ❤️
You’re doing so well for taking it love ! I wish you the best of luck on your driving exams (and the regular ones too!). Thank you for your sweet words 💚
I wanted to focus on resting and enjoying my baby after childbirth so I bought extra nonperishable items- groceries, household things, etc. I didn't have to think about ordering or buying anything for several weeks. It gave our new family time to recover and adjust to the newness of our life changes.
watching you on your pregnancy journey has been the absolute sweetest! i can't believe you're less than three months away from holding your little one! you and jake are going to be wonderful parents, i can just feel it. sending you lots of love and warm wishes as you enjoy the last few months of your pregnancy!
Your pregnancy videos are healing for me. I don't have kids (yet?), but we're about the same age so I've been thinking about it. However I work with socially disadvantaged families and children with special needs, which is my dream job, but I've also realized it gives me anxiety around pregnancy, child birth and having children in general. Seeing you enjoying this and feeling good about yourself and your future reall, helps me feel grounded. So thank you ❤ Oh and a little tip for the nesting period that I have learned from friends: Cook a lot of food in advance and freeze/store it. Having something ready to eat will help tremendously during the first few weeks after birth 😊 wishing you all the best!!
I love your vlogs ... I also hope you'll be able to take a lot of time to rest when you'll need it! I love your positivity about life, it's outstanding and inspiring. Also, your sensitivity is a real comfort to me. Finally being able to feel like other people are also experiencing sensitivity and an intuitive mindset is reassuring yet sometimes it's also a bit tiring ... Honestly, your vlogs have been a real zone of comfort in my life lately.. Seeing you interact with your family and friends makes me deeply and externally very happy and emotional.
I am absolutely in love with your pregnancy content Sissel and vlogs! Your authenticity and warmth make every video such a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing this beautiful journey with us , you’re such an inspiration! 💖
I'm in a point in my life when I know I don't want any kids anytime soon but watching you sissel during this entire journey has been something so magical. you're glowing and you're gonna be the best mom, best of luck with these next 3 months
Sissel, I had a really bad day yesterday and the comment you made about when we feel sensitive/overwhelmed, woman hormones fluctuating and that deep intuition we feel. Those words felt so empowering and helped me feel more at ease with the situation I felt at work which made me feel helpless. Thank you so much for those words. I hope the pregnancy goes smoothly
Everytime you post a vlog I honestly feel more and more excited for you. 😊😆 I'm sure you and Jake are going to enjoy parenthood hood to it's fullest and the baby is found to be loved so much 💚💚
can't wait till babyboy is with us!! he's gonna be sooo loved by his whole family 🥺I'll always be scared of the whole journey someone has to do with pregnancy and I don't think I'll ever experience it myself, but seeing you loving so much how your body changes and seeing you're ready to give birth to a wonderful little human just warms me a lot, I get so emotional over this topic cause I think creating a life is something sooo wonderful and I consider it a proof of how much a couple can love each other
During my time in Korea, I feared for my back due to how short the sinks were! I am 5'8 and constantly bending down to wash my face was dreadful. Baby boy is certainly growing by the day and you are glowing even more! I hope you have a smooth rest of your pregnancy in Korea 💚
Sissel- you have such wisdom. I really loved that you asked yourself the question 'what do you need right now'. I never even knew I could ask myself that question in life so I appreciate you normalizing checking in with yourself and giving yourself permission to feel.
I have a little boy who is almost 2 years old, and we’ve been using the Nuna car seat for him. We couldn’t be happier with it! We often go on long trips, and he absolutely loves sitting in it. It’s comfortable, safe, and easy to use-I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable car seat. Wishing you all the best on your journey into motherhood. You’re going to be an amazing mom! Greetings from Germany!
Hi Sissel! This is such a random comment but last night you, Jake, and baby boy were in my dream. I don't know if I was simply looking forward to today's video or what, but he was the cutest and y'all were the most incredible parents ever to a wonderful healthy baby! I hope the end of summer is treating all three of you with care and kindness ❤
this is a lovely video ❤ so exciting!! as an infant specialist I truly recommend getting one of those convertible carseats instead of a capsule - more bang for your buck, more ergonomic and less risk of having them spend too much time in a seat since it doesn't come out of the car. Nuna is a great brand :)
by the way, the scandinavian brand BeSafe is also good! and they make something called izi transfer which is cool for getting babies out of a convertible car seat without waking them up. (not sure if they sell in korea tho)
Oh my gosh, love your Korean pronunciation 🥰 Best of luck with your driving lessons over there!! 💪 I feel you on this! (A lil back story: I've only learned to drive at the age of 33 - almost 10 years ago. After a car accident I had with one of my friends driving in my youthful days, I've developed a fear of driving and thought I never would. But I overcame that fear for 2 reasons: I got a job offer that required it + I wanted to be able to drive my parents around once they got older. These 2 things motivated me so much. I passed the written exam/test right away, cause I studied hard for it + the actual driving test the second time around cause I was too nervous which led me to make a mistake. But when I eventually made it I cried tears of happiness & relief. I was really proud of myself. I also learned driving stick just in case of emergency, but bought my first car in automatic + Stuck to it since then - for the same reasons you've mentioned: it made me feel less stressed & more focused while driving. I never thought it was possible, but I love to drive now :) I've discovered that having your own car - it's like going around in your own little personal space which allows you to breathe & escape from stressful moments we constantly have to deal with on a daily basis. It provides...freedom 😌) Hang in there! It'll be worth it 💚
I used to live in Korea when I was your age. I absolutely love watching your journey. It reminds me so much of my time there. I’ve 3 babies now. I can tell you life is just going to keep getting better and better. 🥰
seeing you and jake preparing for the arrival of baby boy makes me so happy and excited to be in that moment with my husband sometime in the future :') can't wait to see you as parents, you'll be the most wonderful ones.
GURL ILYSM ❤❤ I FIRST FOUND UR CHANNEL WHEN U TOLD UR HUSBAND UR PREGNANT UR REACTION WAS PRICELESS AND SO CUTE I'M SO HAPPY FOR U GUYS!! HOPE U HAVE A AMAZING HANDSOME BEAUTIFUL BOY ILYSM ❤
Hi Sissel, I don't usually comment under youtube videos but you have been very inspiring and I wanted to thank you! Every time I watch your content, you make me appreciate the beauty of the little things that I unfortunately don't pay much attention in my daily life. You enjoy simplicity and always have a bright smile on you that is contagious! Whenever your videos end they leave me with a feeling of gratitude of life that cannot be described and again, all I can say is thank you for your content! I'm happy to see that your pregnancy journey is going well, can't wait for the new chapter in your life!! Lot's of love xx
Hi sissel, I dont know if you'll ever read this message 😭 I hope you , your lil baby (I'm really excited and I love him already) and Jake are doing fine! I just wanted to let you know that I have followed you since 2019 I guess.. your apartment series and your life in south Korea.. I just wanted to share that I feel so connected to you virgo to virgo I guess❤️ but I just saw this video and I literally had tears... The way time has moved so quickly... I was in high school preparing for final year exams and watching your 'day in a life in south korea' to graduating college and still watching you grow as you have settled and you're pregnant.. (literally crying right now!) I'm just so happy and I love you!! Thank you sissel for always being such a great inspiration and influence.. for always staying positive and so graceful! Sending all my love all the way from India ❤️ Thank you! Ps. I love your fashion! Virgos are the best people ❤️
Your journey is so beautiful and wholesome and I can only applaud you for not falling victim to the "buy this, buy that" culture that circulates around emerging moms. I was working with babies aged 0 to 6 for a year now and spent a lot of time talking to new moms. They often regretted buying a lot of unnecessary things or were astonished that their kid preferred playing with a spoon rather than fancy toys. I agree with you on the knee-protectors by the way, I saw some moms use them on the outside of their kids's pants so they wouldn't get ruined when crawling on dirty surfaces. Those pants only fit for six months anyway and the kids thought it was so funny peeling them off, that it just ended up stressing the mums out. Really, less is more with children and their curiosity😉
I just recently found you because of tik tok and i’m so happy i did !!! Your energy is so calming and pure and your aesthetic really brings me peace. Thankyou for being so beautiful and inspiring, it truly makes me want to live a life like yours
Wishing you a beautiful, peaceful rest of your pregnancy✨ quite a new follower here and I have to say you are such a beautiful soul, Im really enjoying your content and your energy just makes me feel so peaceful 🥹✨💕
I feel you with the driving, haha! I got my license immediately when I turned 18, hated driving, drove from maybe a year and then stopped. This year I moved across the globe to australia to be with my partner and since he didn't have his license and we live in an area where driving is kind of a must to get around I had to brave up and start driving again after almost 10 years. But WOW does having an AUTOMATIC car and not having to think about changing gears etc make all the difference for me, too! I drive everyday here now and I'm actually loving it. You got this too, Sissel!!
I’m exactly the same when it comes to driving. I hated it because I also felt like I wasn’t paying attention to actually driving as I was so focused on the gears. We finally have an automatic and I’m so much happier! Hope it helps you Sissel and happy driving! ✨
If I remember correctly you spoke about the difficulties of trying to get accustomed to your changing body in your last video. Thank you for being honest and open with us. I just wanted to say that you're glowing and look so so beautiful! Lots of love 💚
Omg sissel enjoying Chai ahhh my Indian heart that too in that glass In indian tea stalls chai is served in that small glass watching u enjoying that chai makes me so happy,I absolutely love it when people enjoy chai😭🩷
I had my brother break me down how non automatic car works and ever since I felt much more relaxed about it ! But it's much more cool to have an automatic in cities where there is a lot of traffic, you don't have to hit thé break as much! You look healthy with and without make-up!
Hi Sissel! I’m a newer subscriber and have been here a little bit before your pregnancy announcement. I am so happy for you btw! 🎉🎉 I inspire to be like you when I get older. Congratulations on your baby and I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy and baby! 💙🩵💙🩵
Happy Sunday, Sissel!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🌷🇰🇷💚💚💚💚💚💚🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍. Your new vlogs are so special and wonderful with the baby bump. How cute!😍😍😍😍😍😍. And the city of Seoul 2:59 is so beautiful! WOW!!😍😍😍😍😍🇰🇷🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍
10:05 How beautifully said.. Being sensitive it's a superpower and used wisely, it can benefit both the relationship we have with ourselves and others. As a sensitive person myself I feel that so much 🫶🏼 Also GO GIRL GET THAT DRIVER'S LICENSES, I know it can be stressful by your experiences from the past BUT YOU CAN DO IT GO BABY MAMA💪
I loved buying stuff for our baby second hand - in Europe we have Vinted. So much stuff is anyways not used for a long period and you can purchase it in great quality for less money. Or a befriended mama will be probably very happy to hand you down the outgrown clothes. We luckily barely had to buy any, so grateful for that. They are growing the first six months so fast. Now the stuff is piling up in our flat. Even though I tried not to buy too much, there are a few items that became redundant. But in the end, when the baby is there, it’s you who will truly know what you need ;)
We got a bugaboo cameleon 3 from friends. They had it for 3 years and now we had it for 2 years already and it goes so smoothly. Nothing ever broke. It is really convenient, especially if you get the Maxi cosi car seat ,that you can click onto the bugaboo. Another plus if you get it second hand, all the product fumes have already disappeared.
I love how relaxing your video then you star to eat in the videos and talk while your eating and all this relaxing mood change to an anger like some people (like me) and all my family are so sensitive to food voice i hope you can concern this pls ❤ love ya
ugh ive been suffering from serious baby fever these past three years and this video is not helping me whatsoever 🥺😭 im so excited for you and your journey to motherhood 💗
Hi sissel hope you are doing well,as well as your hubby and baby....You look so pretty and i know you are going to be such a good mom❤I find you so relatable when it comes to reading im so addicted to reading book like omg
It was my first time wearing them and I could already predict it ugh, so annoying. But I feel like they won’t be an issue once the weather isn’t so disgustingly hot 😭💚
My MIL has weak hands, so it's tough for her to grip. Thus I bought her a Stanley for xmas due to the large handle/capacity. She loved hers so much that I caved, too! Haha. You found something that'll be functional for you, and that's all that matters. Btw you're glowing, and you & Jake are going to be such loving parents. Can't wait to see the lil bun 😊
I can totally relate to the driving with gears situation. I am a very good and careful driver but driving with gears stresses me a out. Since my dad only drives automatic cars there was no other option after getting my drivers license. So I couldn't practice it more. Recently I drove manually and I still know how to do it although it has been a while but I concentrate so much on changing the gears and getting stressed about it, that I do not pay enough attention on traffic 😅 I love automatic cars and I am grateful that it enables me to drive more comfortable greetings from Germany 🙂
I feel very related to driving a car, people tell me to get a driver's license (and I really want to) but it gives me so much anxiety when I'm behind the wheel, having to pay attention to several things at the moment such as making changes, especially not going overboard with the accelerator, is too much for me but I know I need to get my license hehehe. Also, I really like listening to you speak Korean!
Aww thank you for your sweet words! And best of luck whenever you decide to go for the license ! Although scary, there’s immense growth to be done in throwing ourselves at things that scares us 💚
So happy and excited for you both. Glad you are not buying in to all the stuff people say you need. To be honest, babies, for the first months of their lives, eat, sleep, cry and poop. Congrats on the new car, must be nice to have that and not rely on public transpo!
I’ve watched your videos for the longest time and today I realized that I involuntarily copied your accent when talking in English (English is not my native language) omg I can’t believe it😂 love your videos, brings me so much peace🩵
Aww hahah girl don’t worry! If English isn’t your first language when accent mimicking is super normal! I do that all the time without realizing as well 💚
I felt so lucky when I realized the car I had for my driving lessons would tell me when to go up or down a gear or else I would probably still be taking classes 🫣
While listening to you talking about gear shift, manual vs automatic cars, I was like: Girl, same! 😎 If we have a way of making our lives a bit easier, let's do it hahaha 🤍 Also, I just love the concept and the aesthetic of your videos! And you're so sweet! Lots of love from Serbia! 🤍
I’ve seen women put these on their kids when they’re on the playground here, kids who can already walk. Here in Korea you have huge pads on in the apartments when having a kid so there’s no hard floors 💚
I relate so much to everything you said about driving! I can't concentrate both on driving carefully and changing gears 😅 plus people here in Greece drive like maniacs so I just take the bus and the metro 🥲 you are glowing Sissel ✨️💙
When I first found your channel, I was at high school and last june I have graduated from university. I have been watching you for a really long time and I feel so emotional as you are getting closer to meet the baby boy 🥹🥹 Can’t wait to see your motherhood journey 💞
Darling sisle you are so weet and downtoarth and naturale with your pregnancy❤❤You are both going to be such great parents😘I send you all the best wishes for success in managing your home in a good way on time. Do not worry about the gas stove, everythig is solvable. I had the same prolem with my kitchen. Just find another brand that manufacture the mesurments that you need. If you cannot because its a standard thing you can always have it elevated a little or have a portable electric gaz. I am sure it all will be good. sending love❤
I didn’t want it elevated as it looked so bad in my opinion, sizes are standard so we ended up having someone come out and cut the stove! Now it looks amazing and seamless 💚
Ugh Sissel, I feel you on the whole stick and manual cars thing. Here in Portugal they are only now becoming popular and they're so stupidly expensive, it's insane. I'm working on getting my license (at 25, how sad is that), and I just get so overwhelmed in my driving lessons. Weirdly enough, I do enjoy driving - I just wish we were able to get our license with an automatic lol. I felt very seen to hear you talking about that. Thank you for the wonderfully cozy sunday vlog, as always 🤍
Ugh that’s soooo frustrating!! The price is also so much higher in Denmark too for automatic … makes me feel happy to live in Korea suddenly haha. But best of luck on your license! You got this 💚💚
My favorite baby things was a baby lift/cot, my baby brezza (saved the nights and me) our stroller and disposable breast pads. That's it. Short list of my absolute favorite for my two kids ☝️💕
