Yeah, i can still remember when a lot of people in the My Little Pony fandom didn't think that the Equestria Girls franchise wasn't going last long. i mean that was mostly somewhat due to a lot of people not liking the first movie but lo and behold EQG managed to span 4 movies several webisodes and shorts i mean the frachise received mostly positive reviews but people have pointed out the flaws of the franchise as well...my point is the Equestria Girls franchise had it's ups and downs like all franchises so but it was overall an enjoyable spin-off to mlp i mean people will still have their opinions on both franchises positive and negative but to each their own.

Now we need them to watch all the Equestria Girls movies.

I actually found this on Netflix when I was like 11 years old and I was so confused of how they went from ponies to humans cause I am new to the show but the friendship games is my favorite we get to see the corrupted version of twilight, midnight sparkle against sunset shimmer with every emotion of her friends absorbed the ultimate final cartoon battle.

Mirror Magic was objectively the best of these episodes, purely because of human Starlight Glimmer and our brief return to Equestria. It's actually rather fitting, as Sunset and Starlight were often compared to one another.

Unlike many of the people when it first came out, I actually liked Equestria Girls. I thought it was pretty neat, and Sunset Shimmer is my favorite character.

The weird thing about Equestria Girls, is that the Mane 6 are actually adults in Friendship is Magic but in the EQG movies they're teens. It's really weird.

I can’t even begin to tell you how absolutely funny it is to me that they’re watching these Equestria Girls specials when they haven’t even gotten half way through season one of Friendship Is Magic. For those that don’t know, these episodes take place at around season six or seven of the show, so there was a lot of stuff going on back in Equestria that they didn’t get to see because we spent that entire time in the human world (also there are about four Equestria Girls films that take place before these episodes that established a lot about the world and the characters). It’s completely hysterical to me that so much has happened in the story of BOTH worlds by this point and that it doesn’t really matter that it all gets skipped over since it doesn’t cause any major issues to the story of the episodes. I definitely recommend watching more Friendship Is Magic, but you guys are probably gonna have to wait a little while before checking out more Equestria Girls stuff (unless you’re cool with being absolutely confused with what’s going on).

Equestria Girls was always a bit "but why, though? Why does this need to exist?" for me as a fan but it did have some banger musical numbers. Friendship Through The Ages and most of the songs from the second movie in particular. Never thought I'd hear death metal in My Little Pony.

Bro-I remember being obsessed with this series because I got to see the mane 6 as humans. I always wondered what they would be like in our world so the movies made me super happy.

God sunset carried this series, others were cool too, but jeez sunset is the best girl

I actually really liked the EQG spin off. Sure there were some things about it I didn't like (like Legend of Everfree), but I think it was pretty enjoyable overall.

I have no problem with the movies, but I guess the upside to this is that they don’t have to constantly rage or break down the logistics on how the worlds are connected.

out of the community I feel one of the only ones whose enjoyed both the core show and the spin-off. Just watching it for the light hearted fun and not taking things too seriously. Nothing like chilling in a fox hole, watching ponies waiting for a bomb to fall.

EQG is one of those interesting spinoff's with a twist... it works a little like the film "Yellow Submarine" (1968) where the people are extensions of the characters' personalities suspended in time... it has something I like to call "The Pepperland Effect"

Equestria Girls was literally only made to make dolls. Like the ponies weren't enough for Hasbro. They probably saw all the fans' gijinkas of the ponies and thought, "Hey, we should make our own gijinkas and sell them" which was honestly a smart move. But I do like that they don't have normal human skin tones. It's kinda unique, like Monster High.

Equestria Girls has some good moments. My favorite is Rainbow Rocks, the movie than ended with a Battle of the Band that rivals Scott Pilgrim.

I guess they must really hate watching MLP related content considering they watched the less popular version of the show and then asked for even more likes then the last parts. A shame, the original show had so much more to offer if it had been given the chance.

As a constant watcher of Bronies React (even tho I don’t consider myself a HARDCORE brony), many said that Equestria Girls wasn’t necessary. To me, I didn’t care. A whole new perspective and, frankly, I like Sci-Twi more than the human version of Pony Twilight. I think it’s the ponytail and the glasses, which help since the Twilight we know is supposed to be adorkable.

Yeah definitely should watch the first movies first. Equestria girls, then rainbow rocks, friendship games then legend of everfree. Honestly movie 1 and 2 were best- the ones u guys watched are just specials and the actual movies have way better music

I remember being so fucking hyped for EG. The whole dimension hopping in the series made my younger self so excited that I showed my whole family when I watched the trailer on yt. The fact that it was such a drastic change was so awesome to me. I still love EG so death. The excitement may have died down, but it's still there nonetheless.
