My Louis Vuitton Collection 

I just wanted to say, your last bit about the bags being leather and coated in wax. Its in fact, Vinyl, then wrapped in cotton and coated with several layers of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride). Just wanted to share that with you. :)

I'm going for the Neverful next. I too buy mine after something major. I bought my Tivoli after surviving breast ca & a different flap at 36. Then a PE 3wks after an 18hr surgery. I deserved it. Lol

I think I watched this before but since we just went to Paris and my husband bought me my very first Louis Vuitton bag at the champse Elysees flag ship store I watched it again! 😊and you were right - such an amazing experience - the sales lady was so wonderful. We went because I told him I just wanted to hold one in my hands and he surprised me and said pick one. I honestly cried. We got the Pochette Metis- I love it

I still don't understand why some people react so strongly in a negative fashion. Do they not realize that no one is forcing them to watch, and that whatever they say isn't going to change what I do?

I have a the neverfull for school and work in Damier Ebene GM, and it is just amazing! I absolutely love your collection! I am a huge lover of the small leather goods!

You are really adorable! I clicked on this video looking for something completely different, and then watched all 21 minutes, because, frankly, I appreciate your humility(is that the right word?). You're very authentic, and unpretentious. refreshing!

When I was a teenager my mom went to Europe and brought me back my first LV. It was the small bucket. Time passed and last year for my anniversary my husband bought me the neverfull MM. I love it!!! It's the best purse I have ever owned! This year I'm looking to purchase another LV. They are investments but they last a lifetime. My oldest daughter went away to college this year and took my small LV bucket with her. It's now being loved by her.

It depends on your budget. One of the less expensive ones, but my favorite, is the Neverfull. It comes in three different sizes and patterns, and I'm sure she'd love it.

Some people just don't grasp that you shouldn't have to be ashamed or hide your joy of having nice things. Truthfully, I work a low paying job and barring a lottery win will never be able to afford a LV bag. You know what? That doesn't mean I can't enjoy seeing yours & if I like a certain bag try and find something in my price range with similar features. You not buying a beautiful bag will not end world hunger or cure cancer. I want to thank you for sharing those pretty bags. Love your videos!

My mother has had the monogram drawstring bag since the mid 1980's. She still uses it and it still looks like new. Since these bags are such high quality, they last almost forever. I think they are a great value when you look at it that way.

If you know the history of the Speedy, it was originally made as a small luggage for women who traveled. Louis Vuitton made luggage in the late 1800's. The train and steam ship was the way for the wealthy to travel. Very rich women carried those bag,. which is why one needed a lock. It was Audry Hepburn, who asked Louis Vuitton to make a smaller Speedy so she could use it as a handbag. Louis Vuitton never lived long enough to see his company prosper. His son took over and the company took off..

I completely agree. I can't stand it when people try to count other people's money. They don't know what we have in our bank account or what other things we spend our money on. Oh well- you can't fix stupid! ;)

I see-I can't possible enjoy nice things AND help others? Your operating theory is that if others can't have them, then I shouldn't either? Right. If it bothers you so much, why did you watch a video that is clearly titled "My Louis Vuitton Collection"? If you can afford a nice computer or smartphone, then maybe you should give those up and give the money you spent to someone who needs it more.

What a lovely collection! I don't necessarily agree with the comment that you can only find authentic LV in stores, but I do agree that it is the best way to get the full experience. The history is what drew me as well, and I love my LVs. Thanks for sharing, Marnie!

I like how the Speedy locks because if you are in the mall or a busy city like New York, you feel a lot more secure. I always lock my bag when I'm out in places like that just to be safe! :)

I've had mine over a year, used it a lot, and haven't had any issues with it at all.

Great collection. As far as trying to pronounce the names correctly in French... Not pretentious at all. It just shows respect. When people try to pronounce words in my native tongue correctly, i happen to appreciate it :-)

I purchased a Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 from the Saks in New York. I sold it on Ebay. The bag did not fit my lifestyle and drew a considerable amount of attention. I live in NY and everyother person has one. I am back to Dooney and Bourke. I think that if people request to see your bags, you are opening up and showing them which is nice. I like your videos. Keep them coming.

You have a beautifully appointed home, and a gorgeous handbag collection. I must say, it's not pretentious to try to use correct diction when pronouncing French, and other foreign words. It's actually quite the reverse. People in different countries appreciate it immensely when you try. We don't learn enough foreign languages in this country as it is, we should at least have the politesse to attempt to correctly pronounce the foreign words we do come across in daily life. And there's absolutely no shame in sounding a bit silly if it doesn't come out right...

Everyone has a budget, it's just that the numbers may be a bit different. Just set aside a certain amount each month, and when you have enough saved up, buy it with cash. But don't buy it if it's at the expense of necessary items.

I loved your collection and am happy for you. Your hubby is a darling and a keeper like you said. I'm watching these kinds of video just to see the bags and enjoy them. I'll never own one, so I content myself by watching people who owns them. I think jealousy is vile, I admit I'm envious, which might be bad too, but to me it means admiring and being happy for the person that owns something I really like. I hope this makes sense to you. I have expensive taste, but to me it's material and it's not my number one priority. I think it's great to own nice things that you enjoy when all the priorities are met, family, love, friendship etc. The nice things bring something extra, they are bonuses. From what I have seen so far, you are a great mom, wife, friend; all your important priorities are fulfilled. Enjoy the fine things life has brought you, you deserve it. I believe we are in the position that we deserve. My favourite is the first bag you showed, I like the Neverfull too, but I find the straps too narrow.

Louis Vuitton purses never go on sale. I've confirmed that with several sales associates in different stores. So I think it's very unlikely that the outlet is selling authentic pieces.

Lovely collection! I've wanted a Speedy for 24 years and plan on getting one this year. Either a 30 or 35 in the monogrammed canvas. The other bag I'd love to have is the Neverfull so I appreciated hearing your comments on that one. When I was in Paris in 2007 I bought a monogrammed canvas Alma. Haven't used it even once because I was so concerned with staining the vachetta. After having some nasty health problems recently I realized how silly that is and am using it. Life is too short!

Remember having crazy sleepless night watching videos and thinking how will I use it since I had little child and so on...craziest night in my life yet! It was a mistake. That bag made me feel and look tired, was droping off my shoulder and thin straps hurted so bad that I finally sold it and got speedy. I felt myself carying it since very first time. For me it's handy no matter what I do. We just have to buy what we love. Lesson learned:)

I was just looking at comments on that channel yesterday. I get so many hater comments on that channel that it really makes me reluctant to put more up. I don't buy what I want, when I want. Right now, we need a new sofa, and we're saving. It's all matter of what you can afford. I do 90% of my shopping at the local grocery, but supplement it with small trips to Whole Foods. I have one pair of Seven jeans, but lots of Target jeans. It's obviously all relative.

Hello. I am also a Vuitton collector. You had mentioned that you weren't quite sure about the letters that follow your bags. GM=large (grand) MM=medium (medi) PM=small (petit). Also, be careful with your damier azure because there can be quite a bit of color transfer (particulary the indigo from denim). Love your collection! Hope you enjoy them all for many years to come. :)

It's not that you need to pay for it with cash per se, but that you should be able to afford it without making payments. If you have to finance a luxury item, then it's not in your budget (at this time). That's why it's a luxury item and not a necessity. So, if you can afford it, by all means use a credit or debit card to purchase it, but then pay off the full balance when the bill comes.

I only like LV Damier and I've never regretted a single purchase. I only have a few bags and wallet but they've held up so well over the yrs. Worth the investment!

I would LOVE a Mulberry bag. I was hoping there was a Mulberry store in Bermuda, but sadly they left the island a few years ago. If there had been, I would have come home with one and not my new Eva clutch!

I know the Eva clutch was so cheap when you got it it did go up just before they discontinued it I have two of them and you know what I never use them they’re so small but I do like looking at them lol

It made me smile every time you talked about how much your husband spoils you! So jealous! Lol

The Eva is probably my favorite. It's so versatile. If haters are going to hate, they're going to get it thrown back in their face. Their behavior is inexcusable.

I have a shelf in my closet that I keep them in, and if I know I'm not going to use it for awhile, I'll put them in their dust bags.

If I had to do it all over again, I would totally get the Totally, for the exact reasons you mentioned.

Great collection and video. I love the Palermo because of the handles and strap. I use the Eva a lot, what a great bag. My Speedy is in 35 and Damier. Love it also, especially when travelling. I am not afraid to ruin it in the rain and snow we get all the time. Thanks!

I love the Galliera, but I wanted something that zipped. If that doesn't matter to you, I'd go with the Galliera.

Love your collection! Fun video! I wasted so much money on many other purses. I had over 100 and finally downsized recently. So now I want to start getting a nicer purse like LV to carry for a few years and pay the same money as all those inexpensive ones. And our walls are painted exactly the same shade of 'sand' as yours. We had our house built a year ago. It still feels like we just moved in. I need to decorate now. Right now I carry a small black MK tote with the little holes in it.

I love LV bags. I purchased my bag in Geneva over 35 years ago for $118.00 at the real LV shop in Geneva, Switzerland. Today my bag is over $1,000.00. But at the time I purchased mine the dollar was so good that that trip to Europe we were gone for a month. My daughter has the cross body and wallet to match. We both love the LV bags. I really like the ones you have too.

I think the Neverful is a gorgeous looking bag...but London and the underground...the lack of security would worry me! I am a devoted speedy lover...but the tote does look gorgeous. Thx for sharing Marnie...and I love your stories behind them :)

I appreciate you sharing your collection. These are handbags that I will never see in my life let alone be able to afford. But I can still appreciate the beauty and the craftsmanship of them. I think those leaving nasty comments are just jealous and as far as them being so "enlightened" spiritually, I would like to know what kind of spirituality it is that guides them to believe it is OK to be unkind to others? ...It shows respect for that culture, in that you're trying--and that's what's most important. You clearly have a deep respect for the history behind the manufacture of these incredible bags; their names, the stories behind the roots of those words, and the reasons behind why they were chosen is part of that. So, I hope you'll google the names next time. It'll give you the pronunciation and a bit of the history. And that'll only enrich the lovely story that binds you to these bags--and give you more fodder for storytelling when you pass them down to your granddaughters ;)

You have a beautiful collection... you lucky gal you! I recently fell in love with Botega Venetta, so far I have 3 bags and 2 wallets....

They're not luxury brands, but I guess I would put them in an entry level category. Since Coach bags always go on clearance at the outlet malls, it's hard to consider them even an expensive bag. Tory Burch is a little more expensive. I'd say they're department store brands, but not luxury. At the end of the day, if you like them, that's all that matters!

I like the gold plate better on the Monogram. The one on the Damier is a bigger. But I like the Damier too, and have been second guessing whether or not I should have gotten that one! ;)

The only other designer bag I have is from Mulberry. I have a Tory Burch envelope bag, but I don't consider that at quite the same level. There are many other designers I'd love to own (Gucci, Chanel, Balenciaga, to name a few) but none in my collection yet!

Last comment, I promise! Have you seen the Lumineuse that just came out? They have a color called Infini which is this VERY very dark navy blue that looks black in some lights. It's just to die for! You must look it up!

Loved seeing all of your LV's! It's awesome that you were able to go to the flagship store in Paris to purchase your bag! I'm planning on doing that with my first Chanel purchase and want to go to the store where her flat was above in Paris on the Rue Cambon. It may sound silly to some, but its like the ultimate Chanel experience that I really want! I don't have any LV purses yet, but I've started collecting their Travel books that are really fun! The one for Paris was very helpful when I went!

as for the lock - it might help in public transport. i ve had pickpockets open the zip, take my purse and close the zip again in subways and on moving stairs of big cities.. they like to close the zip again so it takes as long as possible for you to notice. Once they caught the thief and they operated in the exact same (very busy) subway station all the time. so for them it was key to protect their "territory" in a sense by making sure you notice as late as possible (when you re home or in the next store you ll open your purse). in that sense it s quite good - there are far fewer robbers who ll cut open your purse or threaten you to hand it over.

I am so obsessed with LV and I am saving to start my collection. I watch lots of videos and your is the best by far. Thanks for keeping it real and you truly are blessed to have a great hubby who likes to shower you with nice things. This may sound callous, but it's meant to be good financial advice. A person shouldn't buy anything, barring a car or a house, unless they can afford to pay for it outright. If they need to finance a purchase, then they can't really afford it and should save up until they can.

I was referring to buying bags that are new, not used, or pre-loved, vintage, etc. The only place to buy a genuine, brand new LV is at a LV store or online from their website.

I understand that, but I usually look up where they're from and surprisingly, they're mostly American. And no matter what language you speak, as long as it uses the Latin alphabet, they ALL start sentences with capital letters and end with some sort of punctuation.

I'm so glad you mentioned passing your bags on to future daughter's in law or granddaughters because, knowing you have boys, I was all, who is she going to pass her bags on too? LoL I have one lonely LV. A Speedy 25 that I purchased with my taxes, before kids, in 2005. The handles are dark! Back then it was $495 & plenty big. Now it's my small bag. I bought a wallet at the same time, & forgot it on a plane. I shed a tear for that one. I ended up getting the makeup bag instead of replacing it...

I have only one LV bag. Manhattan GM. I got it as a gift from my hubby. It is quite heavy without anything in it. Saving money for neverfull...I think i like thelarge one. and traditional print. Love this video!!

I love my Neverfull GM! I'm 5'4 (supposedly) but it doesn't overwhelm me! I mostly like it cinched because I have lots of little things that hang out in my bag & living in NYC taking mass transit to work can be a bit nerve wrecking during rush hour when it isn't cinched! But overall I love it. I'm not sure if I'd wanna get anything else because I'm very plain & simple! Maybe a scarf or a charm! P.S. Your husband sounds like a dream man! Lol

I have thought about the accessories, but I personally think they are priced SO high for what they are. When I got the Speedy, I really wanted to get one of the key chains to put on it, but the keychain cost half the price of the bag! Ouch!

Your husband and I have the same taste in Louis Vuitton- the patent leather is my favorite!

Stick with the Totally. The strap is more comfortable on your shoulder, and you'll love that you can zipper it up. Every time I bend over, something falls out of the Neverful. Happy early Thanksgiving/Hanukkah!

I knew a lot of that, but not all of it. I did know that the LV monogram is a tribute by the son for his father.

I would like to own at least one but just can't seem to justify the the cost for my lifestyle - having said that, I'm a handbag junkie & if you added up what I've spent on my bags - I could have a pretty nice collection! It sounds like you have a pretty casual lifestyle, but I think you could add an Alma in the amarante vernis like your Sarah wallet to your collection. It would look great on you!

I love your LV collection! My husband surprised me back in December with a Speedy 35 Monogram for our 20th anniversary from the LV store in Dallas.

Your bags are beautiful and thank you for sharing! My first love in handbags is always Louis Vuitton and Chanel is definitely a close second. I started in my 20's and have had all different kinds of Vuitton, including keepalls for traveling. I only carry the Suhali line now which is no longer sold and love the Le Fabuleux. There is not a monogram in sight but everywhere I go I get complements on it and how gorgeous it is and when I walk in LV they immediately comment. You should check it out!

I have the Never full GM and I love it as an everyday bag and I bought it because I loved it on others. A vey versatile bag. Would love to see updates to how your collection is holding up
