Absolutely if at all possible do not take this drug for anything! It is worse than coming off of narcotics to get off of! I have been on both and have come off of both and I am so sick as I write this I am Ploor you to find something else to deal with your anxiety! I wish my doctor would’ve warned me about this medication before they prescribed it to me.

Hey Tom, I have that problem too. I’m on a low dose of Gaba right now. Meditation helps too

I hate the taste of Kratom, gaba does not work for bad anxiety, social anxiety! I need something

Jen that exactly what they prescribed for me and what I ended up doing taking just the 1 at night. I spent 25 years in active addiction and I have been clean almost 3 years and I don't even like to take an extra one because I don't like being high at all anymore.

Yes, I was diagnosed with complex ptsd, from a few different events. I started with Lexapro and that helped my anxiety some, but then that started to make me worse so I went to Gabapentin. I got to figure out how much suited me and luckily it was only 200 mg.

Thank U both for this Q&A. Also on the natural tip - real Lavender,Ginger slices, in a top self Chamomile tea. Also U can use lavender plants as bedside decor and nobody would know why U really have it.

@@rrtvox I would take 200mg at once and more if I needed it later on. Recently, it's less effective at this dose, but it is a small dosage. The first few times I took it, I would get really scared because everything felt so real and I could freely be myself, but I am scared of everything lol. That probably wasn't the medication. Only side effect I would say I have is getting distracted like a puppy who sees a squirrel haha. But with all the positive effects, that's something I don't mind

Most oils are synthetic theses days. So unless you’re drinking crude oil, then it isn’t natural.

I read Dr. Amens book and flew to one of his clinics in Virginia. Cost a lot of $ for a SPECT scan and they gave me a 15 minute shrink session plus a prescription for Xanax and Gabapentin. I didn’t like the way the Gabapentin made me feel after a few days and 20 years later I’m still hooked on Xanax. My advice is find a good psychiatrist who listens and cares. My prayers go out to you and your daughter. 🙏

@@happylilmarissa The fact that you have started means your brain has already made changes and rewired itself. When you run out you will feel terrible. My advice is to find in yourself what is causing your anxiety. Is it when you are in public or is it work ect... Gabapentin is one hell of a drug, just as bad as benzos and the fatigue and agitation you feel when you try to stop is something to behold. Word of warning...gaba has this real nasty habit of causing withdrawal syndrome. I suggest you look that up because it is terrifying!

I have been taking 2 a day the past 3 weeks or so, they are as needed for anxiety but 2x is what helped me best. I took only 1 yesterday because i wasnt having an anxious evening. 9pm hit & i was terrified. I was so scared. My heart was beating out of my chest. I finally fell asleep & woke up at 2:37 am terrified & with a heartrate of 101..

I tried a low dose and had the same issue absolute terror and shaking I’m never touching it again also massive headache from one dose my mouth felt like needles when I ate .. it’s such a wacky scary medication

Yep my anxiety is very extreme. I have both social anxiety and generalized anxiety with panic disorder. My dr gives me 900mgx4 a day. So yeah im right there with you.

@@philipbrazill2155 Hi bud I feel you right there it is a nightmare, my first was Lyrica for my seizures and PTSD as some vile scum, who got beaten by cops for it in past years, he threw a brick at my head for no reason, long story short. My question my doctors keep messing with my medication Neuro hardly do anything,,,, oh we cant give you Lyrica and you may need to switch to other Pregabalins, the other Pregabs are nasty. Is Gabapentin working ok for you should I chance switching to Gaba??

@@rononeil6167 I actually feel just fine. At one point, I had breathing issues in the middle of the night. My husband jerked around at night and woke me up and I woke up, my breathing was shallow and I felt breathless! I have noticed though as long as I get 4 or 5 hours and then wake up as I usually do because I have sleep apnea too, I don't do that and I sleep through the night! My feet spasms and knee pain is much less though! I do still get pain sometimes but I can walk normal most days and not feel so much pain! I also have not gained weight which was something I thought would happen and in fact because I am extremely vigilant on what I eat, I have lost or maintained my weight! I still take 300 mg at night and I sleep through the night or wake up and fall back asleep with my melatonin! I think it's worth it plus my doctor gave me 100 mg to add during the day on those days when I really have pain but I don't do that much because during the day, it still makes me way too sleepy and I feel too zoned out!! I am petite so drugs can really affect me strongly!! Hope it helps you too!! 💕🥰😋😘🙃🥳💕

@@joser83111 No. I took it for about 2-3 weeks didnt help so I stopped taking it. Also didnt like the side effects of taking it.
