Saravana kumar had his lunch at 1 before the doctor came to record his overflowing plate and currently in food induced coma but acting like he has been starved by our dear Dr for the last one week 😂

Bottom line is you are avoiding fried oil items and taking least amount of carbs , rice in this case while adding as much fiber as possible (all the kootu,poriyal , raw banana etc..)

The mango and green papaya as a sabji is so good! One thing that was missed is a bit of ghee on the white rice! Helps in absorption and helps in avoiding that glycemic attack.

Dear dr. Pal .. Am your follower from Nagercoil, an obse person who have done lots of trail errors in breaking down my fat. Now following yours advice which we already know about the sunrise and sunset practice. But the way you explained I really impressed and started following strictly about a week.. Thanku for everything. I watch your updates regularly. Hands off to your humourous speech, which made me to watch yours. And may I know about the low glycemic sugar from dr. Ck. Super doc. I started my intermittent fasting 16-8 window by Feb 1 from the guidance of wellsense community and planned to stop in 2 months to reach my ideal weight. As desired i reached my ideal weight of 52 kg by strictly followed their diet plan. Last month came accross yr video and now live the same lifestyle of IF as u suggested in yr vlog. Now still maintaining my weight by following the window . Really thank you. So much inspired doc.

@Dr Pal - if Priya is not around, Pooriyal becomes kootu, Koottu becomes oorkai 😂😂 but you are “steady” with the concept of more “fibre” as you are mostly “sober”… 😂😂

I have started IF- 18:6 since Feb of this year ( after watching your videos). I have a question- Does 16:8 hours IF cause gallstone issues? Will it impact Hypothyroidism? Please advice.

Thata quite a lunch spread.❤My portions are far less than what you have served yourself dr., but still battling overweight 😢 and my waist size never came to 80cm since I last gave birth nearly 14 yrs ago. My first born is 20.

I also eat very little bit after menopause I put on 20 kgs of weight and at the same time I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Four years ago I became diabetic and lost 5 kg weight but it is steady. Now I can't go on a diet program because of having medicines for diabetes. It's a very tricky issue and I need to be careful and strong willed.

@@saraswathiramiah3623 I guess the only way to keep hormonal weight gain in check (somewhat) is to be as active as age and joint health will permit, take thyroid medication (dosage of which seems to increase every 2 yrs or so), pay strict attention to portions and glycemic index and protein and fibre intake apart from sleeping 7 hrs at a stretch and keeping stress under control. These things seem easy to hear, but connecting all the dots daily is an uphill task and tricky as you say. Still, trying is all we can do. 🙂 Alas, diabetes can only be managed, not cured. Reversal is just another name for managing.

Do you snack between meals? When, what and how frequently you eat matters at least as much as how much you eat. Good luck in your weight loss journey

@@cherishgp No. I have fruits between breakfast and lunch and 1 small mug (60-70ml) of black coffee an hour before or after fruits. At tea time I have 60-70ml of chai with 1 tsp sugar and 1 marie bisc. I sometimes have papaya or makhana or 1 toast if I feel hungry at tea time. Dinner is 1 roti with sabji and dal or a chick pea/lentil gravy and 1 cup curd or 1 glass buttermilk. I have a cup of turmeric tea an hour before sleeping. My weight gain is hormonal. Being a vegetarian, even my protein sources contain some carbs. So there isn't much I can do besides trying to see if I can up my physical activity more. I have PTTD so the duration for which I can stand or walk is also limited.

we don't fry our papad, we roast it and eat it...personally I prefer it this way because you can taste the actual flavours from the papad.

Just make Paadam in microwave Doc, not a tasty still good. Everything looks yummy, I’m glad you’v veggies generally in Indian get together people don’t keep veggies much. Curry /rice/appetizers/ sides/desserts are key ..like the veggies..may you can take a salad with you (give indian touch to it ) 😊
