I think she's basically trying to say I want my money is my money and your money is also my money. I don't think that's fair if you ask me. I am glad I taught my daughters to work hard at a job, be handy in the home etc. All 3 are happily married . Work and have 2 children each . After being married I am now alone age 59 after my darling husband died January 2022. I am not looking for anyone

But the cold hard truth is that your child is no more special in this world than the average child in the world. Totally another question, to which would be good to get a completely thorough answer, is that why should girl children be treated like princesses at the first place. Does it give ambitious, self-absorbed parents some sort of feeling of superiority that they can think they have brought something very special and magnificently great into this world.

My girlfriend is way different. I met her when she already on a career step ladder and take offense on the whole, "I'm a man, I'll pay for everything you want." Instead she want, "50-50, because we eat together." She's an independent - strong woman that believe she has to earn/pay things by herself than having people to do things/giving thing to her.
Having that attitude just makes me want to do stuff for a girl like that even more! At that point it becomes a bit of a competition for who’s doing the extra and providing for the other. Maybe because it doesn’t have the expectation that what you’re doing is the norm, and “doing everything for me is the minimum” 😂

I say for women like this, there needs to be signed legalized documents that in exchange for being paid, they must offer a service of meal preparation and home janitorial services. I think that's fair. No creature gets paid to just exist in the presence of others.
