@FishingNewEnglandFNE Thanks for asking, this is a 2-stroke engine so it uses a spacial type of oil. I use a 50:1 ratio for this outboard! If you use less or no oil at all you can seize your engine and render it useless, hope this helps ;)
you will travel faster in a aluminum dinghy when compared to the rubber one I was in. (Just for some information I am the owner of this channel but I forgot my password so I'm using this account to reply to comments. Also I sold my little Mariner 3.3 about 3 years ago.) It served me well.
Me too! But since ive filmed this I got heavier so it only goes like 5 knots now. But the engine is still going strong the only thing I had changed was the impeller and gear fluid.
I managed to get up to 11MPH because the wind was in my favour, I fad a tale wind, I have a inflatable rubber v-hull, The engine is 2-stroke so it might of made a difference?, I sat towards the front of the boat, I didn't weigh that much (110 LBS) and it is only 6.5ft long :)
really lol, thats alot of weight to slow you down by half ha ha you must eat well :) me and the boat dont even hit 100kgs, but i lost a shitload of weight. will try to get back to 72 and that combined will be 102kg so still not much for the motor to push
maybe yeah, my hull is flat so i have no drag at all. but at 15 I dare say you'll be getting slower and slower as you grow ha ha im already 33 so no more growing for me :) i'm built for speed ha ha
