Heh, TRULY one of the weirdest, trippiest movies ever made! 100% agreed about the way it "weaponizes dream logic" - it really captured the casual madness of dreaming. Great reaction!
ngl I'm impressed at how much you picked up on your first watch! First time I saw it, I was like "I couldn't tell you what just happened, but I loved it"
Checkout another of Satoshi Kon's films, "Tokyo Grandfathers." It's his most accessible, straight-forward, and non-horror/horror-adjacent. It's actually a Christmas animated film, perhaps something to react to during Christmas 🤷♂
Perfect blue and then Paprika? Nice! At this point you can watch the other two Satoshi Kon movies, he only made 4 movies and one tv show before he died
Desert island movie for me, and I'm not really a big anime guy. And ngl I prefer the English dub warts and all, because it lets me get even more lost in the visuals
