It's been a great morning here at "Casa O'Brien." Since it's the beginning of the middle eastern weekend, I was able to get a swim in and get a little coffee before watching today's vlog offering. There's no time to sit at home and let life pass you by. Life passes by a light speed and if you just sit on the sidelines as it roars past, all you feel is a slight breeze and you've got nothing to see, touch, taste, and embrace. That's the message of the day-Grab life like nobody's business! Why do we worry about what we look like or how we sound? So many times we refuse to crawl out of our shells and walk in the sunshine because we're afraid that people will think of us as somehow inferior because we're different... We are fearful about letting who we really are out of the bag. It's refreshing to see Mudra and her friend stepping out in their outfits and just "letting it all hang out." (shameless reference to 60's slang). They looked bound and determined to have a great time! They set good examples for all of us! Appearance... that's a good thing to talk about today too. You said you were surprised at all the young and good looking people in the cancer treatment center. That tells me that cancer and all other sicknesses are not arbitrary in choosing whom to attack or let pass by. Literally anyone can get sick. We don't know why some folks are chosen. Lots of folks spend a lot of time wondering "why" and begin resenting God or the lucky ones. Others just stop running on the hamster wheel of "why" and begin walking on the road of "Yes, this is my life. What can I do to make today better for me and everyone else?" I'm watching you go through this and I see a family (a pack) traveling on in life together. Treatments, meals, evenings in and out (to include midnight runs to burger joints) are spent as a group. Think of this analogy... a single finger can't do much more than push an elevator button, but collective fingers closed and made into a fist can break a thick board. That is the power of the group that is found in your family. I really have to go now because I'm taking part in our own family fun. My son turned 14 this week and has arranged an afternoon out with his friends. They want to see a PG 15 movie and need Dad around to get them in the door. I'm glad to help because I'm just merely a finger in the fist of my own family. Keep on keepin' on!

You're so lucky to have so much support from your family. Most people go to their Chemotherapy alone as long as someone drives them to the hospital and back but no one hanging around for support. You're very blessed.

Love Love your family and Mom was rocking it at the beginning. The whole thing played great on my iPad. I haven't ever changed the speed as to how it plays. I am glad that you are able to handle your chemo treatments so well. The cancer train is not a fun ride. Currently I am 6 years out from breast cancer and 5 years out from endometrial cancer. I still am on chemo drugs and will be on them for who knows how many years to come. I would rather be on them and not have the cancer to return than to be off them and having to worry that the cancer could come back at any time. My cancer was a total surprise because it doesn't run in my family anywhere and the second one was caused by the first medication they put me on following my radiation treatments.

Your video question: I appreciate 60fps because of the clear slo-mo effects you get with faster film. Speaking as an old retired projectionist, I first fell in love with 70mm film back in the day. Always had to be Technicolor!! I ran LAWRENCE OF ARABIA in 70mm, Technicolor, and it drove me crazy!! The higher definition from the 70mm print gave me fits! I was working a 4-plex and 3 of the damn houses were 35mm! I’d be watching the 70mm print, then have to go try to focus any of the other 3 houses and couldn’t focus the damn print!! The clarity and definition of the 70mm print really messed with your eyes. Now with video these days, video definition and clarity are governed by the individual’s eyesight and brain’s ability to keep or toss picture information. 30fps is slightly less defined, as you can see a “softer” focus than with 60fps. The general rule is this: if you want the brightest brights, and the deeper defined darks-use 60fps. And by deeper defined darks, I mean you can see the contrast of One dark color as it sits next to another. You don’t get that with 30fps.

Personally, I prefer 60fps as it is easier to the eyes, maybe it's just me but I don't know it just seems more pleasant with the smoothness and all. Musta, #Tsong?! Great vlog again. I watched on my iphone, running 60fps. No problem. Then again, I’m in the US. 😜 Anyway, I’m type 1 diabetic, insulin dependent for 31 yrs! Just recently started keto diet and have been on it for like 2 months now. I was morbidly obese (175lbs, 5’7”). 1st month, lost 10lbs. Now, I’m playing around between 155-160. Had several carb cheating 😝. But i feel great, have energy, and my blood sugar has been lower to normal compared to before. Yeah, bacon, butter and other high fat stuff is great! 🤣. I feel better and would feel like crap when i start eating rice again. So there’s a difference! Anyway, #LabanWil #1MforWil #LapitNa.
