He's acting like this hasn't been a tradition since the beginning. I mean there's a reason why 'Ash Ketchum's Mom' is a popular search result, and I'm not talking about that crackpot theory that she used to be the Fighting-type Gym Leader in Kanto.
@@witherblaze It's something I stumbled across years ago, and I can't find it now to refresh my memory about the exact claims the theory made, but what I recall was quite outlandish. Essentially, the theory goes that Delia was the leader of the Saffron City dojo and was well on her way to being recognized by the Indigo League as Saffron City's resident Gym Leader, but once she got pregnant with Ash she retired from being a Pokemon Trainer and the dojo declined in her absence, with her role being supplanted by the much younger Sabrina, whose Psychic-type Pokemon overshadowed the dojo's Fighting-type Pokemon. A similar theory I've heard is that she was just Sabrina's predecessor outright, explaining why she just _has_ a Mr. Mime, and that she abdicated the position of Gym Leader to Sabrina partly due to being pregnant, and because she recognized Sabrina as someone who could surpass her despite Sabrina being a child at the time due to her psychic abilities. Neither theory really has any merit, as they draw on conflicting information about Delia's character from the anime and dialogue mentioned in the various games in the Kanto region. Still, I've always found it funny to think that Ash's mother could have been this incredibly intimidating woman that drastically mellowed out after she became a mother, to the point where it's unbelievable to think she ever was a Pokemon trainer herself.
@@Brutalyte616 There was an entire episode behind Mr. Mime. She didn't suddenly *get* him, Ash did. More specifically, Mr. Mime wanted to become a part of the family after escaping the literal circus. She never owned Mr. Mime before that episode, so that theory quite easily falls apart.

This is l off topic, but has anyone been able to find the video chugga made briefly explaining why he was gone during the Xenoblade Chronocles let's play? It was after the big tower where you unlock the manardos true power. I have loom but it doesn't seem to be there.
