Great to see you back Mike. Awesome pickups mate. Yeah I remember Keith talking about Triangle in that livestream. Sounds really good tbf. Glad you checked it out, and enjoyed it. I’ll definitely have to give it a watch. Freeway I’ve heard is incredible, so will definitely check that out. Thelma and Louise is fantastic. Love that film. Haven’t seen the Conan films, but really need to give them a watch. That 4K box set on arrow video is a beautiful release of the two films.👍
Thanks Scott! Yeah Triangle is a good one! 👍 I agree about Thelma and Louise. Great film! I would definitely recommend Freeway and Conan the Barbarian 👍
@@cinemaaxeman no worries Mike. Glad you enjoyed Triangle. Yeah Thelma and Louise is great. Awesome stuff Mike. Will definitely give all those films a watch mate.👍
Great pick ups Mike. Think this is probably the only 2nd time I’ve commented on your channel, but I had too because there’s two you featured I’m thinking about for a while now. Event Horizon and Cronin the barbarian, just can’t decide 😂. Great pick ups. Take care.😃👍
Some nice pickups there matey.. Triangle was an interesting one I need to rewatch again lol... New subscriber to your channel today btw 😎👍 I've just started picking up physical media again since Christmas as I was fed up of streaming sites not having the films I wanted to watch lol Showed a bumper haul on my channel yesterday as DVDs are cheap as chips at the mo.. 10-20p a film can't go wrong lol
@@cinemaaxeman Mike I also would highly recommend P2 (2007) a underrated but such a good horror film; it’s worth checking out for sure if you haven’t already. 👍
Hi Mike, Good to see back you back, "Windwalkers" one that passed me by & didn"t realised that John Woo directed it 😮🤔, Cynthia Rothrock deserved more movies as a female lead with her fighting talents at her peak of her career, real shame. "Event Horizon" i didn"t love but was a solid movie, i do need to re-watch the Star Trek movies as its been years since i watched them all, but did prefer The Wrath of Khan my fav back then, i do plan on getting that "Thelma & Louise" edition a fine Ridley Scott movie, big fan of De Palma"s "The Untouchables" & i only watched it a few days ago again, a classic, it looks beautiful ! I should be getting my Conan sets this week, & i have ordered the two single editions, they should of kept to the more violent version of Conan in my opinion. Fine update Mike 👍
Thanks Carlos! I agree about Cynthia Rothrock. Her filmography as a leading lady is way too small. And you're not wrong about Conan. The second one should have stayed more in tone with the first, but I can still enjoy it nontheless. Cheers Carlos! 👍
Hi Mike; great haul video mate 😀🍿🎸🎶 I do plan on picking up the Star Trek original films on 4K down the line; I remember John was super impressed with the transfers and he had a great time revisiting the film series last year 😀👍 I picked up the 4K Criterion of ‘Thelma & Louise’ on Saturday; it will be a first time watch for me; great to hear you put this up there with ‘Alien’ & ‘Blade Runner’ as your fav Ridley Scott films. Talking of 4K Criterion; I know I already got the Blu-Ray edition; but kinda tempted to pick up ‘Dreams’ in April as it is a gorgeous film from Kurosawa 👌 Will you be getting the 4K Arrow of ‘Carrie’ btw mate? I know Carlos (Eastwood 4 Life) was fond of the 4K scan on ‘The Untouchables’; cracking film mate; one I need to rewatch this year 😊👍
Thanks Sam! Hope you enjoy Thelma & Louise. It's a cracking film! Dreams on 4K is very tempting. I'll check out reviews for it before getting it. I would love to get Carrie on 4K. I already own the previous limited edition of the blu-ray, but I might be tempted, as it's a great film. I agree, The Untouchables is great 👍
I definitely want to get the Star Trek movies at some point. Star Trek IV is my favorite of the original cast and I have that one on Blu Ray. I’d probably skip getting the first one though to be honest.
The motion picture gets a bad rep to be honest....the collectors edition, which contained 3 versions of the film, covers everything with old and new visuals plus the old TV cut with added 12 minutes. I would say I understand the non appeal, but after getting that edition, it's a work of art now and the transfer in 4k is beautiful :-)
