In the late 70s I worked for British Aero Space in Manchester. This video reminds me of my years there. So many amazing tradesman experts and craftsman. The things they made where truly amazing. But on the flip side where are these people now??? The factory shut down aircraft production stopped and thousands made redundant. All that knowledge thrown away discarded like an oily rag. Please Morgan stay as you are show the world what we can do in the UK and stand proud. I very nearly got my Morgan a few years ago but rather than sell it direct the owner used a company??? That's life. Thank you for making this video it brought back some wonderful memories.
Wonderful, I like your enthusiasm, it is special to walk around and see your ultimate being realized. I looked at a few Pathe(?) clips of car manufacturing in 1934 (my car) and see great resemblance in handcrafting the bodyparts, the few cars being wheeled through the stages. Will look at other clips how you fair, good luck !
My second visit having seen my plus four in production. I was so overwhelmed with the experience the first time I couldn’t record it; though I better this time. Hope you get yours back from the warehouse soon.
I went on the factory tour incredible craftsmen . You are a very lucky man I would love any of the morgans need to win on the premium bonds . Look forward to seeing your finished car
No hair blowing in the wind eh still nice car to drive they are still in the dark ages as regards factory layout I worked in a chemical works similar, layout it. makes them unique we don't get the weather consistent enough here .
Any chance of hair blowing in the wind is a very distant memory. Yes, the factory is old school. I presume too few cars being made to warrant the spend required to make changes.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
@@julian_theviews "Old Top Gear (1997), Mercedes a class, Morgan." - it was the spot welds that came undone. It was worth watching for the old (but then comically young presenters.
I’m not sure. This is the first time air bags have been introduced. Other than that you’re pretty exposed as the cabin is still an ash frame. As a biker, this isn’t something that factored into my purchase…..our family wagon however.
