Lyrics: Watchin' a stretch of road, Miles of light explode Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before Watchin' a crowd roll in Out go the lights it begins A feelin' in my bones I never felt before... Mmm...people always told me That bars are dark and lonely And talk is often cheap And filled with air Sure, sometimes they thrill me But nothin' could ever chill me Like the way they make The time just disappear Feelin' you are here again Hot on my skin again. Feelin' good's a thing I'd never known before What does it mean to feel? Millions of dreams come real A feelin' in my soul I'd never felt before...mmmm And you always told me. No matter how long it holds me If it falls apart Or makes us millonaires You'll be right here forever We'll go through this thing together And on heaven's golden shore We'll lay our heads
I was stuck in ICU for 35 days. 3 weeks on the ventilator with Covid. I coded twice. The second time they brought me back I put on my 🎧and heard this. As a traveling musician I started to weep. I never looked back. Thank you Jim and the gang.
Awesome story!! Glad you recovered! This song really touches you and makes you think of life! That catchy cryin guitar riff. I just now found out who this was after many years just trying to find out who the heck this Amazing group was. This one's special. Thank you MMJ Love it!! Thank you WTMD 89.7 ANNAPOLIS MD.
This is a killer song...the way its strucktured, the chords, the lead guitar, and the way its sung has a sadness about it....like a longing for something...hard to explain...😪
Grew up in northern cali I played this album all the time on my way to school when I walked through my town at 6:00 am with nothing but the cars on the road it was pure bliss
My son talked me into seeing MMJ in October. I am just grasping the talent of Jim and his bandmates. Golden makes me want go and turn it up in my truck and aim my truck for a nice road trip listening to the 2 MMJ cd compilations that my son made for me...now I understand why MMJ is his favourite group😊...Wonderful has become my favourite Start The Day Song😊
Love this tune and these dudes! From my home place the beautiful commonwealth of Kentucky! Or maybe across the river? Either way the tears flow to the Gulf of Mexico!
Call me crazy, and I know I'm showing my age here, but this song reminds me of the Grizzly Adams theme song. Puts me in a happy place from my childhood.

As a hillbilly from Southern Ohio this music was a breath of fresh air . But MMJ got away from Kentucky and their sound got too cultured . This album captured lighting in a bottle . It always reminds me of getting off work and going to Cave Run Lake and camping for the weekend as a young twenties something . Boy's ! Get back to Kentucky !
C'mon, man! Knuckledraggerville ain't all that! There's more to life than having to settle for marrying a toad, and ginnying up the trailer just for a possum fart. Believe me, life is far more rewarding outside the skeeter swamps, and horse poop trailways. The boys of My Morning get that the world AIN'T FLAT!! Golly gee, mama, there's skyscrapers, and everythang!! Not everybody can settle for the thorazine of red state snoozerville loserville... Get out of your tiny world sometime, you might find a lot of really beautiful things worth loving!! Bob Dylan said, he ain't workin' on Maggie's Farm no more, for good reasons!! S--t for brains is for losers who think being oppressed by their bosses & local gangster politicos is heaven on Earth ordained by Jeebus. Guess what, the real JESUS was/is a liberating Woody Guthrie lover who effing hates oppression more than most things. MMJ is right on it! They get it! Ah been to Southahn Illinois and southahn Ohio, and it's perty, and nice, and all that, perty humid if you're asking me, I done see just about umm I could name off a huge amount of places I'd rather settle in this country that are much nicer, more friendly for real, with fewer bigots, fewer nosy people, fewer dimwits, more people you know who want every body to be happy and do their thing, and if they fall, hey, do you need an ambulance? It's a better way of life caring for each other, and enjoying each other's creativity, instead of bullying conformity to the bosses, and the racists and neonazis. Way better, thanks MMJ!!
i think stan smith has best described my feelings towards my morning jacket, for those of you who aren't american dad viewers, 'tis a slightly obsessive love.
I am the Son of Man and the Spirit of Truth, I am the one who you all know in your head as the Almighty Lord God...this song is an explanation of when I died and did not in my life. All Time Favorite of mine, I love My Morning Jacket and may God Bless You.
This song pretty good, but the best version of this song is on radio station "KFOG"'s "Live from the archives #11" CD, released for local charity a few years ago. Lots of reverb, and a sweet outro of "Breads" "Make it with you
Do it! I saw them for the first time at Red Rocks on Aug 2019. Best show I ever been to! They should come out with some concerts for this year I think!
Actually, its more like this... Tu siempre me decías... que no importa cuanto tiempo me detenga, si todo se cae a pedazos o si nos hace millonarios. Tu estarás aquí conmigo para siempre y pasaríamos todo esto, juntos.
