My Most Anticipated Games Of All Time 

When I was younger I also remember spending so much time at gamestop trying to decide between games based on the box art ahaha. I swear the employees thought something was wrong with me xD. Then every time during checkout and the ride home on the city bus I would second guess myself trying to decide if I made the right choice until I started going to Family Video/Hollywood Video/Blockbuster and renting first lol. Those were the golden days of gaming.

Hey Pete, I just randomly stumbled upon this video and ended up watching the whole thing. I just wanted to say, I miss videos like these. Totally awesome. 23:20 oblivion - totally awesome too. 25:00 skyrim - yep that one too ;-) but needs HD tv. 26:00 FF XI - mmorpg. is that even localized? 28:30 super smash bros - meh 29:00 ssb brawl. wii 30:10 Dark Cloud (ps2) - never really got what's so good about it. 32:00 okage shadow king (ps2) 32:25 uncharted (ps3) - definitely want this. 33:30 heavy rain (ps3) - got halfway, wanna finish it eventually. 34:00 god of war lost odyssee 39:00 socom navy seals (ps2) 1000+ hours ??? why? 40:00 mirror's edge (360) 43:00 chrono cross (ps) 45:00 lost in blue so much to do, so little time.. and these games were even sub par.

I love watching videos like this. Gives me ideas for games to look for since I am new to collecting/retro gaming. So many games on so many systems that I missed out on over the years.

I watched this the whole way through and it was a really great video. I loved this guys nostalgic enthusiasm. It made me look back on a lot of great games I looked forward to. Really great video man.

Thanks for posting this!!!....The first game I remember anticipating the release of was Super Mario Bros 3. I remember the ads, the movie "The Wizard", and just the hype from my friends. While I didn't get it at launch, I definitely rented it a lot, and my Dad eventually bought me a copy, which was a great memory for sure. That game is just legendary, I still adore the game.

awesome video, pete. maybe the longest youtube video i've ever sat through 0_o my most anticipated games might have been fable 2 and resident evil 5. i remember i got fable 2 on christmas morning and i played, morning until night (which, in retrospect, doesn't make a whole bunch of sense considering the length). great memories. .... not as much fun with RE5 ;] keep making videos, pete. i can tell you have a passion for this and it's inspiring!

Watched through the video and I loved it! A lot of those are my favorites too.

The wait for Skyrim was even worse for me, my step-mom ordered on on amazon and it didn't get to my house until January. I literally screamed when I came home and saw the box in front of my door. I stayed up for 2 days straight playing it after that. Easily one of my favorite games of all time.

I remember seeing ICO at Circuit City and it always looked interesting to me but I hated the covor art so I passed on it lol. I do have it now though and will deinitely play it. Pier Solar was a LONG wait for sure and even though I had a hard time getting into it, its still a great game and I appreciate them bringing 16-bit back!

Wow... what a concept to do a video on! I remember I had anticipated the release of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door so much that I opened the copy I had bought for my friend and beat it before I gave it to him. BTW, I was almost certain that I was the single only person who prefers Diddy Kong Racing over Mario Kart 64. Great video!

I wish I could get as enthusiastic about games these days, I enjoy reading and watching other people talk about them more now than playing them, strangely enough. Enjoyed the video mate, keep up the good work.

Some of my most anticipated games were Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, Assassins Creed 3, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (This was the most one, couldn't put it into words how excited I was for this game), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and others. Future ones will be Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III,

I agree with most of the games in this vid, but mostly, I hear ya on waiting for Pier Solar, as I pre-ordered the HD version for the Dreamcast in March of 2013, and I'm *still* waiting -- been just over two years. Should be getting it any month now. And they said there'll be extra goodies thrown in for the longer wait. I'm eagerly anticipating that one (or a new Dreamcast game in general). Now, for the PS4, I'm very psyched for The Last Guardian, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, and Nier 2, and for the Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Great video Pete. May I offer up a suggestion for future videos? I would really love if you added the slightest background music of video games in your videos, as it really sets the mood of the video. Particularly longer videos like this. Not loud enough to detract from your speech of course, but just enough so people can hear it, and go 'ahh that's such and such BGM'. Its always great to have a hint of bgm, especially when talking so emotionally about videogames the way you do.

Dude I was stoked when Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition came out for Genesis. I lasted about 2 minutes on your video.

For me it was "Final Fantasy VII Remake", "Dragon Quest VIII", "Final Fantasy XII", "Metal Gear Solid V", "Grand Theft Auto V", "No Man's Sky", and "Final Fantasy XV." They all lived up to the hype for me.

Having just heard how much you get blown away im glad you managed to make it through an hour with being blown away. :) Interesting to hear the stories of how a demo or a trailer hyped people up as kids. Many games i purchased were done so for similar reasons.

Ffxv, was let down so hard too but still found some enjoyment. Like seeing that versus 13 trailer of noctis on the throne looking like sasuke was all I needed to see. A final fantasy game being directed by the man that gave me kh2 and music composed by yoko shimomura who also graced kh2 that game was supposed to be the game of my dreams.Taught me how to temper my expectations.

Tribes:Ascend is really fun if you haven't played that too. The first Cel-Shadded game I really played was Jet Grind Radio for DreamCast. Man this game i totally had forgot the name but i remembered building our own towns , even the character change was AMAZING at that time. Hey man, I played FF11 from 2004-2009, and you are one of the few gamers that has been able to put into words what this game was, and is, for anyone who played it to the level you and I have. It's something that cannot be explained with words, but rather, needed to be experienced, at that time and place. I too have not played since the level caps have been raised and everything has changed. What world did you play on and what were your mains? I was a Taru BLM/RDM/MNK/NIN on Midgardsormr.

I also played the ICO demo to death. I didn't pick it up at the time for some reason. But it was the last game I bought for the PS2, a while after I stopped playing on it, but totally worth it.

I loved Super Mario Sunshine when I was younger.

MGS 2 and MGS 4. I bought a PS2 and PS3 for those games initially. Was I as happy with those games as I was MGS 1 and 3? No, but hype was intense. Parasite Eve 2. I loved the first Parasite Eve soooo much. Couldnt believe they tried to go the route of Resident Evil. Resident Evil 4. Bought a GameCube for this game on day one and has remained one of my favorite games of all time. The Witcher 3. The Witcher 2 atmosphere, story and setting were phenominol and was a top 5 exclusive on the 360 for me. Game was fantastic and trumped TW2 in every possible facet. Rayman Legends. Rayman Origins was a joy to play and the improvements displayed in Rayman Legends were evident. Favorite platformer of all time. Silent Hill 2. Never played a hoeror game that had me on the edge of my seat like the original Silent Hill. It delivered. Gears of War 3. Gears of War 2 gave me so much satisfaction in the competitive online matches. Gears 3 delivered making several improvementas. The Last of Us 2. The original game was an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end with satisfactory gameplay and a competitive online environment. TLOU2 hasn't released yet.

What you said regarding FFXI... spot on. I will never forget the first 2 years of release. I made a long time RL friend who lived on the other side of the world from me. We just recently met in RL for the first time in like... 6 years!

I thiink it would be better for your videos to show some images or trailerss of each game while you are talking. It will be much more interesting.

For Pier Solar, I only had to grind for a short time in preparation for the crab boss. After that, it really kinda lets up on you. Especially utilizing the gather mechanic.

Lol, is that "dark cloud 2" in the background I see, on the shelf XD. That is my all time nr 1 FAVOURITE game, right beside Diablo 2 and megaman legends 2. All three of those games I couldn't live without, literally.

Mine was Zelda OOT.A 90's kid that played link to the past,loved it and then see for the 1st time a zelda game coming out in 3d.It was great ,plus OOT is without a doubt one of my favorite games of all times.

lost odyssey is my favourite rpg this generation as well! loved the gameplay and the skill system. and the ending was good aswell

Theme Park was the game I played the most on the Jaguar. I loved that game.

I remember having to go to multiple places to find LBP, finally found it and the cashier brought a huge stack of them out, each time he scanned them it said "Not available for sale." I was tripping out, then one of the last few games of the stack finally showed the price and i was able to buy it, good memory, great game.

is knights of the old republic supposed to load alot? (i also have this kinda big problem that NONE OF THE CHARACTERS HEADS LOAD)
