Thank you for sharing this ❤ my daddy passed away in the year 2019, after my youngest brother's admission to a national highschool. Results were released yesterday, he passed so well. We had gathered as a family and at the mention of how happy daddy would be, to see the boy's victory, we broke down, 😭😭😭😭 we felt his absence as if he left us a week or a month ago.. Yeah, it's a journey. Continue resting papa.

My dad passed away 13yrs ago,he was the life of fam get-together he was my life,quite a displinarian but I loved him so.i can relate it never gets over

We never get over the loss of our loved ones......yes there is no.wrong way to grieve. 🙏

Thank you for sharing things people think we shouldn't talk about. The society expects one to dust off and move on like nothing happened. I hope that one day I will get the courage and ability to get the help I really require, grieving can be a monster. Tired of acting strong.

Lost my dad last year and it will be 1yr next week and I can really relate with you, I have felt like you are telling my story and learnt alot from your story and hopefully this pain ends some day.... Some nights I break down after I thought am over with grieving and life is back to normal.... It never gets to "normal" after grief, learning how to handle it and taking a day at a time

I needed to hear this... having lost both my parents and 3 sisters and 3 brothers... I feel hollow in my heart... its very painful and the pain doesn't go away. Just Empty

Having lost both of my parents i identify so strongly with Gakii. It has been a while. You never quite heal. You just cope better.

Loss of loved ones is very individual ..(even btwn sablings its never black and white). Am over 50, Dads boy, lost him 16 yrs back, for 7yrs I would cry endlessly. BUT...The most therapeutic part of your narration is when you talk of rediscovering yourself. That's the positive energy that can be consumed in its diversity ...but only when it's taken in the collect trajectory . ...There can never be a common solution ...

Thanks Gakii for taking the bold step of sharing. This is a great step towards healing. It'll will take a while but God will give you strength and grace together with your mom and siblings.

I buried my sister today and I am quite lost on how I'll process this grief. Just taking it a day at a time.
