Bought my wife a 2010 last year same as this one except had the ultimate package and only 25K miles on it. Sticker was $45K. One owner, no accidents, mint condition for $10K. Liked it so much I just picked up a 2006 Zephyr, rebadged in 2007 to MKZ, loaded but no backup camera, one owner, no accidents, only 52K miles on it for $6K. AMAZING USED CARS if you're patient you can find great deals on these.
LightWing Studios Unfortunately I sold this one a few months after I bought it, it had so many electrical issues among others that it just did not make sense to put money into it. Though, I do fault this for being a rebuilt title and an insanely early build model. I have a family member with a similar 2010 and it’s approaching 300k miles!
I also have a 2010 awd with only 7.3k on it. For around the same price. Before that i had a zephyr 2006 with only 62k on it for 6900. Love these cars. I think im gonna grab the 2020 mkz next... or the 2020 continental. Im not sure
My girlfriend and I just purchased a 2011 Lincoln MKZ hybrid and we're in love it with it! It's our first car together and it's a very good car overall! 👍🏻
awesome car! I just bought a 2011 MKZ Hybrid with 41,000 miles, it was closer to 10k but worth it for the hybrid and low miles I think. Gorgeous car! Mine is pearl white with a black and white two-tone interior. White seats, with black dash and some of door and white leather on door
I'm enjoying mine...I got the same car but AWD..59,000 mi, dealer serviced with Carfax, and all records for $11,200 I think. I just had to bleed brakes and flush radiator. Got 6 more free oil changes yet as previous owner bought a pkg with dealer. I highly recommend regular dealer service. I kept my Subaru Forester going for 17 years at 190k miles Thanks to dealer service. They're very competitive. Nice car....enjoy.
I take mine to car show as well. For the borla dual exhaust on it and of course the blower. Sounds great with the THX 16 speaker surround, a 15 inch sub with 1500 watt sub that came stock in the 07. They really cheaped out on the 2010 and aftet.
I had a 2008 MKZ..it ran beautifully for a long time..one day I am in traffic, and the temp gauge is hot, I pulled over and there was no water leaking, it was not hot to touch, I had to tow it to a mechanic,..long story short at 126000 miles the engine seized..and I had to replace the engine... I have sold that car, but I like this car, and am thinking of getting one more..my concern is the water pump, that is what failed in the car I had
As long as you check the coolant levels and be mindful and buy a decent replacement, it should be fine. That is also my concern as I am also thinking about getting one as a first car.
i have a 2012 mkz hybrid 207,000 miles, great gas mileage low matinance all the bells and whistles and the micro soft entertaiment system is priceless.
Bought a 2010 today. Needs some repairs the dealer is dealing with. Excited to take it home! AWD sounds be a great safety feature on the winter here in Canada
@@freeffree4133car has held up well so far. Needed normal maintenance. Brakes, oil changes etc. Great in all weather with good tires. The driver side heated seat doesn't work anymore and the driver side blind spot system has failed. Otherwise it's been very reliable mechanically.
These things run like a dream! We have one at work when im in break I drive it. I hope you like how it drives because the fusion drives a little rough.
@@quanbrooklynkid7776 each and every one of them are. The fusions mercury Milan’s and the Lincoln mkz are all autos, some but very very few fusions and Milan’s that were base model 4 cylinders had a manual option, but only base model inline 4s these never did
Maybe its because I have always had sports cars. But I just bought a 2009 mkz. And it feels like it floats down the road. Its the most comfortable car I have owned
Interesting. I too was looking at a used car from that era with a rebuilt title in need of brakes and an alignment. Not an MKZ though; I never did like that design, preferring the 2006-2009 and the 2013+. Good find though! And I agree on the tan poorly aging. Not as bad as the infamous Copart 2007 MKZ though. Best of luck!
He said It is a salvaged or restored title so of course it had damage. I just bought a 2011 restored title mkz and I am happy with it, it doesn't take much total a car worth 5-10k and sometimes they can be good deals to fix. Some salvage titles suck but you can buy a lot of luxury cars that have had flood damage or been in fender benders for good deals, or sometimes if your in an accident you can buy your own totaled car and fix it and make $. Often times the insurance will estimate 1 accident to cost 10k+ to fix and they will total a car, but then the car only needs like 2k of work and can be fixed and driven on the salvage title. It is a risk but if the car was fixed well you can get a good deal that way and it is worth it if you plan to keep the car a long time (cuz resale value will suck)
@@oldgorillascooterclub2597 yeah dude for real… I wrecked my 2011 Ford Fusion Se (not liable lol) and the damages were not at all extensive! I needed a new front bumper with fog lights and grille, a rim and tire. The insurance company totaled it. Granted, my EPAS and ADVANCETRAC had already completely failed, so I believe that the insurance company thinks it broke in the wreck 😂 I paid 3200 for the car…. and the insurance company paid me $7300 for it after the wreck… I believe it was totaled since it was low mileage and a decade old…. With how cheap the damages would really be to repair, State Farm will flip it no doubt
look under the car to see how much damage . then you'll know the extent of damage , some owners freak-out when its got a scratch and they want the whole bumper changed , so they get it fix but it was nothing . So looking underneath can tell a story. and each state records accidents on each registered vehicle. that you can look up under the freedom of information act , or pay a few bucks to a carfack company { and you know why I spelled it wrong ;] } Once i bought a city car in a auction , the owner changed front and rear bumpers with black primer aftermarket. no one wanted the car. at auction , in the mind of others it was a wreck and not finished , I got it cheep ! paperwork said it was a NY city car owner and those bumpers are always torn up . his must have been backed up on a hitch and ripped it open or vice a versa . but not a dam bit of other damage. [ I'm a bodyman i checked ] So your eyes can trick you to not see, what the mind don't know .
a lot of sites list that as one of the cons of it (too much like fusion) but I don't really understand why. Lexus is a tricked out Toyota so I don't know why people knock Lincoln for being Fusions. I'd love a leather Fusion but shopping used the Lincolns were barely any more that Fords so I got an MKZ.
I agree about the beige leather began to deteriorate on my ‘10. Mine was dark green. Basically a decent car but hardly a true Lincoln (I called it a Lincoln-ette).
I just bought a 2010 mkz awd v6. I love it. It only has 7.3k miles on it but i did pay almpat 10 grand for it. 😢 but its well worth it. Its fast, luxurious and clean. Leather is good as new.
Nice car.. But as you mentioned, change the water pump ASAP, that will cost you around $2,000 due to it's design, but if you don't you will end up with a nice paper weight soon. When the chain driving water pumps fail in these engines, they tend to leak coolant right inside the oil case. That destroys the engine. There are youtube videos and even class action lawsuits from this.
@@AlecDenston it isn't anything to worry about, it only happens if people don't change their timing belt and it breaks and then causes the problem he was talking about. Anyone who actually maintains their vehicle properly won't have these problems. People who are cheap and don't replace their water pump when they replace their timing belt like reccomended will have this problem.
@@oldgorillascooterclub2597 Problem is the water pump on these is INSIDE the engine not the outside where you can get to it if needed. That's why it costs so damn much to change out...THE LABOR!
@@oldgorillascooterclub2597 I’m a mechanic and trust me I have one and engine has 190k and water pump failed I’m just swapping the engine for something around 60k miles. Not worth fixing the damn pump itself with a high mialage car. They are great cars but awful water pump design.
I have a guy selling me a 2011 model for $2800 everything works fine. I’m a college student who currently takes the bus to school. Should I pull the trigger and buy it?..Forgot to mention that it has 179,000k miles in it.
ThinkOutsideTheCube heated cloth > everything else. The cooled seats are cool, heh pun, but only work if the actual air conditioning is on and the fans are getting cool air to blow into the seat. It’s kinda silly since you’re already blasting a/c in the car and should be cool enough just by the A/C alone lol
I have a 2007 3.5l mfi supercharged engine at 436 hp, AWD. Blows the doors off the new mustang GT and crushes the new cobra as well. Love my 07, only has 25,000 miles on it.
I can't tell you about the base system, but the 2011 I just bought has THX and it sounds great, I was expecting to have to replace some speakers since the car is 9+ years old but I will keep it stock THX.
I just bought a 2010 MKZ and was playing my stock orig. Thx radio and the neighbors came out and asked me to turn it down, they couldn't hear their TV, my bass was drowning it out. I thought reading it had 17 speakers was a misprint, boy was iI wrong! My THX ROCKS!!!
They probably totaled it for being over a decade old… I just recently “totaled” a 2011 fusion…. Minor Head on collision that left the car needing a new complete bumper, a rim, and a new tire…. they totaled it!
damn RIGHT you miss the power of the 3.5! i’ve got a s***box 2008 worth $500 to a dealer, shes got 144.9k on her. tell you what though, that little duratec just keeps on chugging!
@@BlakesCars2 holy shit nice what is your secret haha I don’t plan on getting rid of mine anytime soon. I don’t think I’ll own another car now besides a Lincoln I’ve had 02 Caddy but I like the Lincoln ride better than any car I’ve ever owned…

He bought a salvage titled. They tend to be sold much cheaper. Because they are harder to get rid of. Because a lot of times the car was wrecked and rebuilt.
Got one today for 3k has 152k miles on it still runs awesome. Need to change the right brake light, do I just get the bulb or do I have to go above and beyond that? Been trying to find a definitve answer
