Thank you for the overwhelming support people! Here are the diopters I am using to get closer to a subject with this lens: geni.us/sLeUzjV This wednesday there will be a new video on "my secrets for better portraits" Stay tuned!
When I click that link for the diopters it just takes me to a generic amazon page with several listings. Can you tell me the specific ones. Thank you for any help..
Ive been watching your channel good while now and i realised its not the lenses its your composition framing and color grading that makes this all unique 👏
I read the comments before watching the video, i thought you were being overhyped, and i was wrong, the style of the shots and the editing go incredibly well with the feeling of this lens and the diffusion filter. The models understood the assignment too, they all have the same feeling.
I have never used an anamorphic lens, but if you don't need full resolution or those flares, I believe regular lenses are better and you can crop down to 21:9 (Roger Deakins used this regular lenses instead or anamorphic for example) lets start a discussion of pros and cons of each lens! I wanna learn why people use anamorphic and what they see in these lenses!
Usually I avoid all these "best for bla bla" Videos like the devil the holy water. YOUR lens test is informative in the first place and the sample footage is poetry in motion. Love it. PS : I have been living and working in Berlin for years, so lots of nice memories from some of my favorite locations....
Truly a splendid and informative video, bruh... I really appreciate the variety of models and environments in which you filmed in. The footage looks insane killer! Absolutely gorgeous colour from that lens!
Sir Congrats on your success. I've been a fan since the Raquel V.1. and watched every single one of your vids since then. That was atleast 2 years ago. " king of video portrait " you'll get to millions subs in no time. !!!
Oh wow! I believe you're really talented and I would me very happy if you will ever release a masterclass on your shooting style. the composition, editing and the connection with the models are all fascinating! Keep up!
Ive been trying to get as good with mobile photography for as long as i can and believe me every man behing the camera isnt a professional untill you meet a legen like this guy.
Gorgeous, and great sample footage. I love that you went full 16:9 x 1.6; the super wide feel is really fun. I need to pick up some diopters, those looked particularly nice. What brand are they? Also, did you add the film frame border to mask vignetting from the lens, or was that just a creative choice?
Lol, watching this on the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, which has a rather weird ratio, way longer but narrower than other Smartphones, and the ratio of your Video fits exactly on the screen. Really interesting experience.
Thanks a lot for these example shots, I've been looking at these Suriu's for some time now. They arent even that expensive compared to g-master lenses. Im most deff going to pic this 35mm up this year.
The Maboglow filter looks like the Tiffen Glimmerglass, very cool. And finally multi coating :) Tiffen does not have any coatings and they flare very bad sometimes.
@@MABO this is awesome! I really like the glimmerglass effect but I hated the flares from the glass. It is much less destructive to the footage than the black mist options on the market. Just a little glow on the highlights like from a vintage lens. I hope that your filters will be available in Europe.
Wow!! that lens is fantastic. And i love your compositions - especially the architecture and model combinations (i am going to be stealing some of those ideas for my work !) 35mm is already a fantastic focal length on full frame - with with the extra width the 1.6 gives and the "just right" bokeh / planar separation that f2.9 at 35mm gives - this is truly magical. I am guessing the 1.6 stretch gives you the shot width of a 24mm with the bokeh of a 35mm - very nice! My only problem is the price - i think it is excellent value for money for what it does, and that it can be a lens that you use for a lot of shots - but i just cant afford it right now!! Time to start saving.
that lense is insane but i still feel the video should be 16:9 to have the black bars which make it look even more cinematic and still works for all devices
I’m not a videographer so I’m a bit confused. Can you get this wide aspect ration with other lenses ? Only this lens can be stretched like this because it’s shot compressed ?!
@MABO thank you for the video - it's BEAUTIFUL. You note in the description that the songs were from Epidemic Sound: Would you mind sharing WHICH songs or Artist they are from? Really cinematic and elegant choices.
Hi man. Your shots are absolutely beautiful, amazing work . Also I need your help too, the link in the description for the lens gets me somewhere else and also I can’t find the exact same lens . Can you help me with that ?
Nice material. I think you should put the lens name in the title of the clip so it would be positioned together and easier to search in google when someone will be looking for review or something. I might be wrong - someone correct me. Add affiliate if possible, get that money flowing towards you so you could give us some more of that jiucy content. Take care.
Hey, just wondering if you are going to make a VND + Mabo Glow diffusion all in one. I like to use a vnd + Mist filter because i don't use filter boxes.
Bonjour MABO, vey nice video beautiful video and colours!! Have you used the Atlas Lens Mercury 36mm T2.2 1.5x Anamorphic Prime Lens yet? If yes what are your thoughts? Merci!
