I love this pedal. I have one of the original versions back before his re-branding. It’s an absolutely stunning pedal IMHO. When I’m sitting at home plugged into either my Supro or Orange amplifiers I almost always have an LPD pedal sitting in front of it. I highly recommend guitar players or anyone who uses overdrive or distortion to get on the LPD mailing list. He often does Limited edition pedals that are very good and in many cases, possibly most cases, the limited pedals are exactly what I wanted whether I knew it or not.
The 68 original pedal is probably the best plexi style pedal I’ve used in over 40 years. I have the 87 as well but I like the 68 better for that classic plexi tone. Fantastic fantastic fantastic…..hey Lawrence how’s it going? Thank you for everything. Talk soon on P Thorne channel……
Sounds great! I planned on being done with Plexi in a box pedals after getting the PedalPalFX PAL959-V2, which is amazing, but this is seriously tempting too, because, reasons lol.
I think it covers all the bases in one pedal without compromise or dumbing down the pedal to do that. The most one would ever need is perhaps their favorite low gain OD and one good Fuzz to play any style. Add a comp, a modulation pedal, delay and reverb and you have a killer board.
@@TSFAHTPS When Lawrence told me awhile back the first thing I thought of was you. lol Even then I thought that you like to gig light and this would be perfect. I always write to him and remind him to tag your vids on his site because you both become winners. He sells more pedals and you get more subscribers. Yes your Super Jumbo Extra Large site is already starting to grow and I expect the next 2 years you will take a couple of giant steps with your numbers!!!
Ok great pedal so interesting like the range of it with the different boosts and gain type. However got to be said what a difference in sounds you get from the different pick ups the single coils were very different to the P90 which just make everything rock 🎸🎛💁🏻♂️
The LPD Pedals you’ve reviewed recently all look great cosmetically and really well built, they all sound great. I don’t think you’ve reviewed the Dutch overdrive and would be great if you could? As what I’ve heard from it on other channels to me it sounds great and would suit my style more. Thanks for your vids anyway.
This is based on a 60s Plexi - you have two channels and a boost…the Eighty7 Deluxe also has two channels but no boost…one channel is based on a very heavily modified Plexi and the other on a modified JCM800…much more high gain than the Sixty8 Deluxe…we might do a shootout between the two sometime soon
