Looking forward to the td5 content! Just an FYI, be cautious is deeper water over the bonnet. I've been through 2 radiators in 6 months with my TD5 and the crank sensor doesn't like to get wet haha

my disco two is 4 0 auto when replacing front d shaft uj s found it .had diff lock cogs in transfer box so made a lever .to fit shaft and .use d a heavy cable from throttle of a little double drum road roller to operate the centre diff lock and save about 400 bucks by not buying linkage from l rover wagon has no .roof glass except side ones and real heavy torsion bars..on diff .suspensions cornering..is amazing .luv this thing

Can't fault your enthusiasm! Fresh fluid and a gearbox filter won't go amiss. Bet it's rust free too, you lucky people!

Have 2 td5 discos both automatic. 1 galvanised chassis and a td5 defender 90 pick up.. Nanocom is recomended especially the immobiliser faults.. you need the code to turn it off.. but can also turn it of with the nanocom.. you want a stage 2 map and a hybrid or vnt turbo believe me it's well worth it.. 😉

The shuttle valve is an easy fix, it’s under the abs and you can just unbolt is and all the breaklines on and take the old one off and the new one in, it is a bit tight to get the hands in but is do able

Proper truck 👍 go to 4x4 in the uk, love mine, check to see if you have a cdl transfer box and get a linkage kit for it. Most of them have the cdl transfer box but no linkage.

For TD5 autos, defo recommend upgrading the torque converter. (recommend remap engine to complement) Just done mine, you'll need a P38 3.9 or 4.0 or disco V8. Adapter from Ashcroft. Allso deffo recommend 200tdi rear prop conversion (4 flange). Rubber coupling is rubbish although they last longer on autos.

Reset transmission adaptive values with nanocom, probably change trans oil and filter

I was so close to subscribing, but the way he's so condescending and belittling to his girlfriend was way too uncomfortable to watch. I'd unsubscribe from Vice Grip garage for that reason but he treats his wife with the same regards and respect of her capabilities as human, just like he does all his mates that help him out.
