hope you catch some sleep man!! I really like Mode’s design language (really dig my alu half plate Sonnet with Cream Sodas), but I’m pretty bummed they went for HHKB only for this. It’s a real looker and seems like maybe their best feeling board yet for my personal preferences. I’ll have to hope they come out with a WK 60% eventually!
Yeesh, yeah CF with no foam in that config was SO loud! Case foam helped that out a ton, but then I've often found you need a really deep-sounding combo of keycaps and switches for CF to work out well. That may be personal preference talking tho. Also sounds like this Lattice Block implementation lacks the slight case ping Envoy has without case foam (at least with my combo of FR4 plate, lubed Frozen Slush linears, and DCX Cyanlet). Killer little board.
I love the style and pacing of your videos. The breadth of products you've introduced me to is fab. Please keep doing what you're doing, albeit at normal working hours!
Incredible board. Would be perfect if it was $100 cheaper. edit: nvm, the price is great. I was using the configurator and it had keycaps included by default.
I have FR4 plate in my envoy with Epsilon switches and it is near endgame. I’m running only PE foam, and the hard mounting points. It leaves a little to be desired as far as endgame for me, but I’m not sure what it’s missing.
hello good sir! do you think you will review the Owlab London Fog switches from BSUN? Would love to hear your thoughts on them, also it's so odd i feel like specs totally are off when manu's describe things like travel distance.. on divinikey it says 3.6mm travel distance but when i measure with caliper it's 3.8mm.. wonder what your experience would be
Great review, but, honestly, I'm a bit dissapointed in the sound. Without foam, it sounds hollow to my ears, with foam, it sounds like it has a tape modded PCB. In Tofu's review it sounded a bit hollow as well. Highly uncharacteristic of Mode :/
