do you guys know how the tillhammer was made i am from germany and as far as i know he once disengaged his leg during a perfomance but refused to stop so he hit his leg again and again until it was narrowed again
@@thejoker8990 He injured his knee when swimming and his knee cap would dislocate at times. When it dislocated during shows he'd hit it to get it back into place. The rest of the band said it looked cool and told him to keep doing it. There are shows where he has been wearing a leg brace because of it and I believe he's had surgery for it.

Please, please, PLEASE. If anyone knows where in the HECK that one 5-minute version of Ich Tu Dir Weh can be found, do tell. It used to be on YT with a title along the lines of "Ich Tu Dir Weh - Rammstein (English subtitulado)" but I'm sure it got copyrighted eventually. Literally the best version I've heard. It's similar to the music video version but with some nice extensions to the riffs.
They are doing a first ever in America stadium tour this summer. They are bringing their full production. It should be insane! You should definitely go if they are playing in your area!
Is a 'stadium' tour something special in the US? Cause it's by far not their first. They did the 'Family Values' tour with Korn back then in the US too, and they got arrested after their first concert (for being naked and imitating sexual practices on stage lol).
That "Sabaton looking thing" he made was actually first amde by him, because his knee jumped out during a show and he did that to knock it back in. Afterwards everyone said that it looked cool sohe continued doing it

He should really watch XXX the movie with Vin Diesel and just get engulfed in the awesome flames of Rammstein performing Feuer Frei! live. An insanely great way to start an action movie franchise. Hate the movie if you want, but you have to admit it was a flamethrower hot opening to that movie. Only the opening sequence of Mission Impossible Rogue Nation gets even anywhere close to the intensity of Rammstein live at the beginning of XXX. Face-melting awesomeness indeed.
@@toddvandell85 No hate for xXx from me...I went and saw it three times within the first two weeks of its initial theatrical release. :) It was also my first exposure ever to Rammstein. At first I was like "THIS IS SO AWESOME!!! Too bad they aren't a real band." Imagine my shock when I found out they WERE a real band! lol...I often now go through phases where I listen to them non-sto, espeically if I am praticing guitar at home. Simple rifs, but oh so HEAVY!!! :)
A couple of years ago Rammstein had a show in Iceland. I was outside the venue having a smoke before it started and the President of Iceland arrived in his presidential car going to the show as well. People started to do selfies with him and stuff as he was getting into the venue and a German guy near me asked "Who is that guy, some rock star?". "No that's the President of Iceland" I said. He just said "Amazing,Amazing" A little true story, I thought it was pretty cool.
It may not have seemed like it, but I'm pretty sure the german guy was really amazed by the fact that the president of the country came to a Rammstein concert. A german doesn't say 'amazing' out of courtesy.
man this song brings back memories. 2 major ones... firstly I was headbanging and screaming with in the movie theater when I saw xXx and secondly.. the fire on stage singed off my eyebrows when I saw then live. Awesome track!
YES! these guys are so good! If you get a chance to catch them live DO IT! You won't regret it, they put on a crazy show, reactionwise I'd say do mein herz brent or if you want to see another side of them I'd suggest ohne dich 😁
Benzin, Amerika, Deutschland, Wollt ihr Das Bett in Flamen, Mein Teil, Mein Herz Brent, Aschu zu Asche, Radio. Just to list a few. Hell even Du Riescht so Gut (lit. You Smell so Good) is good. Engel, Weises Fleisch. The list goes on forever if I'm being honest. There's not really a BAD Rammstein song. And if you're interested, check out Lindemann, the lead singer's other project. His first album was more comedic in nature, being called Skillz in Pillz, with the title track talking about all his different medications. Still good music, and highly entertaining, just a bit more comical.
What gets me most about this every time is the flamethrower facemasks. Just insane shit going on on stage with Rammstein. Rewatch the video and you will see them towards the end of the silent part of the song.

Awesome Songs from Rammstein: Amerika ( a satire song about the american way of life) Deutschland (awesome song about the german history) Radio Sonne And a classic one that even aired on german mainstream radio: Engel (from 1997)

Same here, I'd only heard Du Hast until recently, then I heard this and Engel and my mind was blown. This is my favourite Rammstein song, this is always turned up to 11 in my house :-)
Fun fact how the "leg hitting" became a staple move. In one of the early concerts in the 90ies Till dislocated his knee while performing. So, he started punching his leg to put it back into place. After the concert one of the band members told him, that it looked kinda cool and he stuck with it.

I "discovered" them two years ago. I had heard a few of their songs in videos', but it was more background music behind the video. Once I watched one of their live concerts, I WAS HOOKED! They are freakin" awesome!!!
