What a fantastic bit of kit! The story of your sick old dog was a little heavy , but it was worth the wait in the end ..... The UK yolk separator work out all white. Another cracking video UK, well deserving of a “ GREAT TIP KNACKERS!”
😂...l think the yolk separator needs some work David....it's still in the early prototype stage 😂 Glad you liked the vid mate and thanks as always for watching 👍😁🇦🇺🎄🎄
Mate ya stronger than me 🤣🤣 well done, I will look at those as I had seen them before but never used them, BTW hope you and family are OK with the rains around your area, let's arrange a catchup before Xmas
Excellent tutorial, easy to understand. I've seen tests done with this exact anchor and the tests were done with the toggle anchored horizontally instead of vertically as you have shown. Thank you for this important tip.
You rock. I was worried about the thought of taking it down and I couldn't believe it when you demonstrated it. What a great video. I did subscribe to your channel. THANK YOU!!!
That's pretty slick. You get the benefit of a toggle fastener with the ease of a screw in anchor. Thanks for sharing! EDIT: I made a pair of your I-Beam sawhorses and really like them. Sturdy little suckers.
Yeah they're pretty good Sean and well done on the sawhorses....l've used mine to death and they are still pretty much as good as new 👍 Merry Christmas 👍😁🇦🇺🎄🎄🎄
I know I’m way delayed in watching this video, but hey, your info is TIMELESS! 😎 I’ve actually used those toggles before but still learned stuff about the proper orientation of the toggle. Thank you for sharing.
I saw that yoke coming right from the start 😏 You gotta get up early to beat me Uncle Knackers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 30kg off a single point in plaster board ... great demo 👍
Fantastic Shane. I must've missed this video but I just know my lovely wife has some heavyweight artwork heading for the walls, and God knows where those studs are. Fr sure the studs won't be where I need them. I don't know if it's just me, but they are never where I want them to be. You've done good mate.
Nice one! I still avoid anchors at all costs if possible. Id rather hang a piece of 1x3 about 18 inches as a ledger so its attached to studs and use it to attach mouting hardware when hanging larger items that will cover it if possible. This anchor seems like a solid option though.
Yeah S.B. they are really good which is why l wanted to do a video on them 👍 That Tin Tin Print is Awesome.....we love it and it really brightens up a room 👍 Thanks for watching mate 👍😁🇦🇺🎄

Hello my friend. The introduction and knowledge of the wall anchor was great. The test is successful. I waited for the eggs to make omelets. But you broke :-). You are right, many consumers do not pay attention to the instructions of the products they use. I watched a nice post. Thank you. Stay healthy and happy. See you. Best regards. Big greetings....
Fantastic demo! The manufacturer should pay you for that! As the designated cleaner of messes in general, I do not approve of the scrambled eggs! Take care.
Nice one Shane that will come in handy if i come across any studded walls, we have all brick walls over here so it's a Masonry Bit and a Wall Plug for me. Stay Safe mate, Barry (ENG)
😂....Yeah it did an amazing job to stay in shape James 👍👍 I tell you what there wasn't just a lot of strain on that little hook.....certain parts of my body were put to the test l tells ya 😂 Thanks for watching mate and have yourself a great weekend 👍👍😁🇦🇺
I remember watching a video you made on silicone ages ago and I said to myself This guy is great! Man what a long way the channel has come from those early videos👍 Great channel, come on 1 million subs! 😎keep the content coming
Hi Shane, excelent tutorial like all you have published. I found it very useful, sad you destroyed the eggs at the end, there was no need for that. When I was little I was tought one never plays, destroys or wastes food. Thanks anyway for sharing your knowledge and your experience.
Good luck with a wall full of insulation! I use the circular “ Gripit” fixings. The only problem with them is on dabbed walls as you sometimes hit the dab, however they make a drill attachment to clear the dab away.
Mate, every wall in my house has insulation and they work fine 👍 I've seen those Grit Fixings but have never tried one.....might have to do a little experiment 👍 Thanks for watching 👍😁🇦🇺
Thanks Brian 👍 Yeah l think the scrambled egg technique could do with a little finessing mate 😂 Tha ks for watching mate 👍😁🇦🇺🎄. P.S...Great job on the wheelbarrow revamp 👍
Do you have a video on hanging a gigantic very heavy flat screen? I really want to hang my tv up and get that space back but ideally I’m looking for someone to be SO sure it won’t fall that they’re willing to guarantee it and buy me a new one if it does fall lol it’s so scary! I just discovered your channel though and you’ve put my mind at ease quite a bit already! Have so many beauties to hang!
Jessica...for the TV wall bracket, the main thing is to get at least a couple of screws into a wall stud...solid as a rock👍... the remaining couple of wall fixtures can be wall anchors like you see in the video that are fitted to the drywall. Good luck 👍👍
The only down side to these wall anchors I can see is they need a fair bit of clearance at the back here in the uk 🇬🇧 most drywalls are dot and dab and thus there is a narrow void between the plaster board and wall proper.
Awesome Video as always Uncle K.....that looks the business.....the wife wants to know if the anchors will support her fav 6’ x 4’ portrait of Warnie that she loves.....you’ve landed me in it again 🇦🇺👍 😂
Another good video, UK! I have always been a bit on info overload when it comes to the various options for drywall hangers. It is nice to have a solid recommendation. I have tried Wall Dogs with success, but not for anything heavy yet. I have seen your links for other videos and am looking forward to checking them out. I have been a sporadic follower of your series, but have many to catch up on. You put out some great stuff. They are easy for novices to understand, are done in a way that make us feel ok that we don’t already know this stuff, and are quite fun to boot. I also really like the dad jokes you throw in on the side. I have stolen a few to use on my kids. 🙂 Keep up the good work! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Best, Mike.
Thanks Mike!! Really appreciate the comment mate 👍👍 I appreciate your support and hope you can continue to stick around in 2021! Merry Christmas to you and your family 👍😁🇦🇺🎄🎄
Looks good. But I'm not sure about having to put eggs under all of my pictures and mirrors. They should really have label on there that says "Eggs sold separately."
Wow, never expected an anchor to hold that much weight! Will definitely look into them. Now the question is how many of those anchors at the beginning are absolute rubbish?
Yeah it'a an amazing little anchor mate👍 Actually all the anchors shown were pretty good. They all have their own specific uses. Thanks for watching Charlie 👍😁🇦🇺🎄
Very cool!! The Amazon link claims it will hold up to 85 pounds!! I don’t think the outside hook or the sheet rock will hold that much! Thanks for the review! Oh, and price wise, less than a dollar per hanger!!😲
that dad joke about the dog and the vet happened to me . I carried my old dog ( not with us now sadly ) into the vets and said i'll have to put her down . then tried to clarify it by saying ,I better put her on the floor , she's heavy .
thank you for telling us what the kg is in pounds for us Americans :) this is my first vid of your i watched and it was funny and educational . thank you for the knowledge and smiles
Perfect type of video mate, when we all venture into a hardware store it’s grouse to have knowledge of what does what. Dad jokes improving but marginally 😳🧐😁😁😁🇦🇺🍻👍
Cheers Dirk...yeah mate it can be a bit of a minefield when searching through the wall anchor section in Bunnings 👍👍 I am trying mate 😂 Have a good weekend mate 👍😁🇦🇺🍺🍺
Great vid Uncle Knackers, , Excellent demo, superb tutorial, great entertainment, and not bad Dad Joke- quite the all rounder 👍! These things are exactly what I’ve been looking for all my life , just hope I can find them here in the UK. Only one thing though, , should you decide to patent/market your egg separating gizmo thingy (which I love by the way ), you may need to run the name through the spell checker? - just wish I could DIY as good as I can spell Keep em coming and have a great Christmas!
G'day John 👍 Thanks for watching mate. l'm sure you'd be able to get them over in the UK 👍👍 I was in two minds over the spelling.....l think it depends if you're from the Northern Hemisphere or the Southern Hemisphere 🤔 Glad you enjoyed the vid mate and all the best to you and yours over the Chrissy, New Year season 👍😁🎄🎄🇦🇺
Would this work for hanging something from the ceiling? .....love your channel, diy can be a bit, well, a bit boring , but you inject some much needed fun into the subject.
Hi Nicola, yes you could, but in reality they are meant for vertical pressure applications such as a picture on a wall. The force of something hanging from a ceiling is a different type of pressure...if you know what l mean?? Having said that, if it was just a light fitting, l wouldn't have any hesitation to using one. The beauty about hanging something from a ceiling is that you can crawl inside your roof space and place and attach a wooden noggin between the ceiling joists and you can then attach your ceiling fixture directly to the solid wood noggin which is a superior attachment method.....hope that rambling makes sense 😂 Thanks for watching 👍😁🇦🇺🎄
Hadn't seen that type of anchor before Shane, good to know about this thanks. The joke? Hmmmmm..... I'll reserve judgement! Have a good Christmas mate.
Yeah l've only just discovered them......not quite sure how long they've been around👍 Mate if you can give me a 5/10 l'd be happy 😂 Have a great Chrissy mate and thanks for watching 👍😁🇦🇺🎄
Are those new in Australia? We have had them for some time in Home Depot and Lowes in the States. You're welcome! Now, my daughter and I want to learn how to eat Vegemite, but are scared. Where do we start?
Mate l have only just recently noticed them....that's not to say that they haven't been around for a while 👍 Vegemite hey?.....an acquired taste but an absolute staple over here in Oz. The secret is to have hot toast. Make sure the butter melts on the toast and then sparingly spread the vegemite in bits and drabs. If you lather it on the taste is overpowering....enjoy 😁 Thanks for watching Charles 👍😁🇦🇺🎄
No, it would have been a Great Tip 10 years ago before I made so many unsightly holes in my walls from installing them wrongly! Still, never too late to learn a Great Tip :)
If the E is in the lower position, can you just turn the anchor 180 once you've loosened it a bit, maybe holding it up against the inside of the wall, and then it will be in the "up" position and drop horizontal once it has room? Worth trying.
I've used those and they work well, they can be hard to find though. Sometimes you need an anchor that resists pull perpendicular to the wall surface and these will also do that. Plus they are easy to install. Not all wall anchors are easy to install or are good for pull perpendicular to the wall. These do however require a good amount of space behind the wall to install, the first one I tried to use did not have enough space and wouldn't work. Since I had already drilled the hole in the wall I had to cut off the end of the anchor to make it work.
Yeah they are pretty good Bill. I think you'll find that they work for most standard 70mm or 90mm wall cavities. Thanks for watching mate and for the feedback 👍😁🇦🇺🎄
cool man, they should lose the arrow pointing down and leave the important one with a caution like "finish with arrow pointing upwards" or something like that. It's a shame they didn't sponsor you, they left you hanging.
