I stopped following makeup RU-vidrs in general because I felt like I never learned anything from them. They would just be describing products, and never application technique or placement or anything. I’m so glad I found your channel, because you literally ALWAYS have excellent, informative content with fun energy and actionable advice. You’re 100% my favourite 🖤
Highly recommend Smitha Deepak, especially if you have hooded eyes, brown skin or struggle with conventional eyeshadow techniques (she has some of the few actually useful makeup hacks - i.e. using the foam tip applicators -that used to be included in nearly all drugstore eyeshadow - to precisely place colors, then blend with regular brush). Smitha is also in her early 40’s and seems to have very little to no ‘help’ from the injectables that most makeup influencers rely on. ( I wish I had a beauty RU-vidr my age (39) or older with actual expression lines on their forehead when they raise their eyebrows- recent commercials are pushing the idea that the furrows from raised eyebrows are a ‘wrinkle’ even if they disappear when the face is relaxed! So glad I came of age when I did, Bc my forehead has done this as long as I can remember- Junior High, maybe even earlier!
I found a technique that has worked so well at stopping the creasing under my eyes that I haven’t used under eye powder in a couple of years! What I do is apply my colour corrector and concealer as normal and make sure it’s all smooth. Then the trick is to spray a little bit of setting spray directly onto your ring finger and pat it straight onto the under eye area. Keep looking up while the setting spray dries to prevent creasing. And voila! I have very naturally prominent creases under my eyes and I’ve never had issues with creasing since using this technique! I once tried to go back to using powder because I was away and forgot to pack my settings spray, and I couldn’t believe how disgusting, crusty, and creased my under eye area looked!! Give it a try!
@@Jujudiz I personally use the Morphe continuous mist setting spray! But I’m sure any other one would work (as long as it’s not powdery). I hope it works for you too! It’s been life changing!
ALEX. Step one 1. Get a metal tin. The dollar tree has ones that come with lids 2. Cut Pears soap with a knife 3. Put chopped soap in a microwave safe bowl 4. Put it in microwave. Heat it in 15 second increments and stir (it's okay if it foams up) 5. Pour the liquid soap in metal tin 6. Let the it sit overnight to dry BOOM now you have portable brow soap in a cute little tin *** If you need a video tutorial. "The most crafty nurse" has a video on youtube!

Her makeup instructions are easy to follow and her makeup recommendations and tools are accessible and at a varied price point. She is not in it for a commission but for excellent results. Would love to see more of these…I love the more natural daytime looks now that you can glam up to go into nighttime. I do have oily skin so I have difficulty with the mascaras giving me raccoon eyes after any length of time. Even tons of powder and waterproof doesn’t tame it. I’m 64 now and the powder has become a problem going into the evening when entertains clients straight from work and unable to rush home or to hotel for a makeup redo.

I like using the elf eye lid primer under my eyes. It's slightly peach and blurring. It's a little dry feeling but since I'm using glossier stretch it counters the dryness.

thank you for this! Youre the only beauty youtuber who has pigmentation around the eyes the same way i do - especially on inner top of the eye, almost going onto the nose. Seeing you how you conceal that really helps me understand the placement and how i should do it too!

It’s crazy. I thought it was just me, having stopped watching anything beauty on RU-vid. I thought it had something to deal with my niece passing away, because that’s when I quit watching. (3/25/21). I didn’t like, consciously say I’m done watching makeup/beauty videos, it just happened. & I unsubscribed from everyone… except you. I’ve always really enjoyed your content & found it useful & “clean”. Clean, meaning , your content being solely beauty. None of the gossip & “storytimes” of other channels. & you’re not constantly showcasing the newest products, finding a new “ go-to” every week… I’m actually finishing products now that I’m not tempting myself with all the beautiful new releases…
I have similar upper eyelids and I'm 57. After using Derma•E Stem Cell Eye Lifting Treatment (with copper peptides and kakadu plum) 2x every day, I have noticed a marked improvement in the firmness of my upper eyelids.

A really good informational video would be showing the difference between makeup for photography/flash and how to be every day glam. I know influencers talk about it a lot but I feel as though putting an image to it woould be so helpful for those who don’t work in this industry. There is truly a time and place for strong heavy makeup; specifically when cameras and flash wash you out so much.
