I have never had a tear in my eye from a man landing a fish in his net. But I did today. Awesome Micka. I am spreading the word towards Santee Cooper about this fine catch.
Found you by seeing your rod here in Wheelersburg Ohio at a bait shop called AJs mercantile. Pretty cool the fish your catching. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats micka that’s a stud man my biggest is a 65 to 70 lb blue it was 48-1/2 inches long but I caught it out of a little pond in Kentucky it was in crescent springs news it was pretty cool what did you catch that on micka that’s definitely a true living dinosaur bro
Sure was glad to be able to see that brother, no trolls can say anything about catch and release. All the men there, my hats off to them all for the care and help. I was hurting with you working on getting him in the net and on the boat. Got my wife to come over to my computer to watch you land it on the boat. I was feeling for you as my wife said, " he is about your size", but I'm 73 and would not try and land that size boy by myself. I'm in the TX Panhandle and I take my hat off to you for the TN. State Record. It was AMAZING!!!!!
Great job brother! I am very happy for you and coming from a 60 year old Capt on the Mississippi River and from Louisiana swamps I am also very impressed by the fact that you did it alone 👍
Wow man that's insane! It takes a good fisherman to hook that big of a fish, but it takes a legend to fight that f'er to the boat and net it himself! My lord 💪😂
What a stud. Incredible how well you handled yourself and everyone else involved in the weighing/measuring. So glad to see it swim off so fast. Goes to show how well you guys treated it and how healthy the fish was. Congratulations, this is my first time seeing your channel, but the comments are saying it couldn't have happened to a better guy.
Congrats. I watched every second of this intense video last night with my dad. We were rooting for you the entire time! Glad everything worked out so beautifully!
I certainly hope it survived after that much stress. Hopefully it will add to the gene pool for a few more years. What a specimen. I wonder how old it was.
you are a great guy thank you for sharing all your tips and this is one of the best videos ive ever seen it was like we were with you god bless you and your family
I don’t know you my friend and have never watched one of your videos. I’m going to the TN river tomorrow and did a quick search and you popped up. My hat is off and a firm handshake extended to you. Congratulations. I think it was a blessing a boat did not come by to help you! A magnificent solo achievement!!! I have seen many state record fish but can honestly say this is the first I’ve ever seen caught on video. Question to you, what is next??
Thank you so much for that. I honestly truly appreciate that. Ah I guess next I continue after the flathead record lol. That was has proven to be a huge challenge.
Thank you for returning the fish back to its environment, ideally, it would've to the place where he it was caught, but at least you made the effort, I hope it survives the stress it went through , good video, thanks for sharing
You will be talked about for many many many years and you will be remembered as a freakin legend, awesome guy, and glad the fish was totally healthy😎🤙🏼
They poured the water out of the barrel before getting a weight on it so they didn't get a good weight but it sure was an awesome fish and glad he released him
@@ABWFThe water was in there when they weighed the fish. He does have a point. Either way one heck of a fish. Congratulations to the man that caught that fish of a lifetime
Love to see the fish go back. Most of the time when fish brake records their killed in the process. The fact you were able to document everything and release the fish is just amazing. Only problem is your record will be broken because that fish will be caught again lolll. Great job.
Thank you for that. And yeah that is possible that someone else mat catch that fish and break my record but if that experience gets passed to someone else then I couldn't think of a better gift than that. To have a lifetime accomplishment like that for me was truly a blessing. Letting that fish go healthy and passing it forward would be even more rewarding for me.
Congrats!! What a beautiful fish!!!! 122.3 lbs minus the water that he dumped out for some reason when he got the trash can weight! 😂 In the heat of the moment the ole brain doesn’t always compute right 😂 Really though, awesome catch and release!!!!!
Thank you I appreciate that. Yeah the water that was in the can was what he was puking up. It wasn't an ideal way to weigh him but all we had and had to work fast.
I'll fight all day! I was dying at that point. When you finally whooped out, "I got the SOB! The mix of relief and the elation of netting that catch came through clearly. Great catch!
Makes all fisherman Wonder how truly big these catfish can get ??? All the stories of Catfish big as small cars is credible! Your catch on Video proves it!
"I got the SOB" excellent job man awesome catch. Can't say I would've done or said anything different. That's awesome. I've been after a big one this year but 2 months strait of nothing I thought about breaking my rods this morning I'm so fed up with it. But this inspires me to continue on my journey.
Thank you. Yeah I apologize for the language but was pretty excited 😆. Just got to keep putting in work. It will definitely pay off in the long run. You will get that big one.
Awesome! I read the story saying you did this last year and it could be the same fish. The green coloration on the belly below the pectoral fin sure does look the same as the photos of the one from last year.
Watching from California. That was just the definition of Catfishing rite there. Congratulations on another All documented World record ! And no better way to represent Mad Katz Fishing rods! 👏🎣😉
Phenomenal execution. It's good to see the urgency and the amount of respect you have for that fish. 10/10 might be switching to those custom yellow and purple sig MadKat rods lol 😆
This is so amazing my friend, love that you had that right size net with you 1000%. Hope to catch one half that one-day brother. Getting me both your rods 😎🤙
Congratulations, doing that on your own with no help is actually pretty damn amazing. I dont know what the hell i would do in that situation. Great job
CONGRATULATIONS!! man I have never been cheering and rooting for someone on a youtube video lol I was hollering net him! Just go for it bro! Lol ... amazing fish
Great googly-moogly...need I say more? 122.3 huh? Would have been heavier but I think you both lost weight during that epic battle to get him in the boat. A legend battling a legend. Congratulations sir. I'm sharing this video with everyone I know. This video is absolutely drenched in adrenaline. I can't imagine long it would take to decompress after a struggle so monumental.
